And the whole point was that you could just say fuck it and hurl yourself into them and you would certainly risk knocking your face against the back of someone’s head by accident, but that was about the worst of it. And of course when someone went down everyone’s trying to pick them up, which i’m sure is still more or the less the case. But just fucking look at this, all those people who came out to see this sick band play their heavy music (which i love btw) and look at the sheer size of that pit, and look at everyone around it not getting in. How many people you count in that pit? not many right, compared to the size of it. The size of it is proportionate to the amount of people actively trying to get further away from it because a small number of people are crowd killing. I’ll never deeply connect with this type of heavy music because of how much crowd killing is a part of its live experience. Call me a pussy, call me a bitch, call me what you want but when someone is throwing the it fists around like that they are gonna scare people around them on a primal level, and it’s only them and the meatheads doing it too who are getting anything out of it. You want proof? just look at the ratio of people in the pit to avoiding it in this video. I fuckin hate this shit man i miss the way mosh pits used to be.
