  • Many of us dream of leaving our jobs, the crowded city life and move to mountains. We plan to start some business in mountains and lead a life full of peace and tranquillity. But is it easy or tough? Should we just take the plunge and figure out on the way? Should we move to Mountains? Or do all the calculations and then decide?
Let's try and find the answers from someone who has done it. In a conversation with Ambika Bhardwaj, who moved to Manali sometime back and now runs a homestay in old manali area, we find some interesting facts about life in mountains. If you want to connect with her, here is her instagram account link: / dastaan_e_musafir
We will also have a sneak-peek in the life of old Manali area.

    Saw this Video today!
The problems mentioned by Ambika about water, heating (i.e collecting wood for fire) , electricity etc. are problems which I believe today's Technology can easily solve. For example: You can have a Back-Up Generator for Electricity; You can have Generator run Room Heaters or better still one can connect the entire house to a central heating system Which can be connected to a Back-up Generator when there is no electricity. For water you can have a proper Water Storage System using Water harvesting techniques to store enough water for the house. A heating system would ensure water is available in winter too. In short problems shared by Ambika can be taken care of by Technology which can help you easily survive the harsh winter in mountains. Think about how people live in countries like Canada which faces -30 degrees in winter & has snow for almost 7 to 8 months. So Manali in Winter should not be a big problem.

@@augustinevalentine2804 agreed but what she said what not wrong in a sense. Yes i agree that life is mountain is all about peace, valuing the basic necessities of life which we have forgot. But the other aspect is the confusion of what do to with this life, what's the meaning of it which steals the peace. And here i agree with her that this you will have to find within yourself and any place to cannot give it to you.

Being anywhere give you peace even a late night dhaba chay with friends but moving to mountains is not about peace it's about how much you love the mother nature and how you're gonna manage to do day to day activities there.
You're creating a whole new idea of living somewhere you never lived.
In little timeframe mountains and trees will give you so much peace but after some days you'll be frightened by them because of survival instinct of human nature.
P.S. most of the people moved there with the idea of of owning a cafe or hotel. So no peace just the fake version of it.

pahadon pe har din struggle hai. Life bhot tough he nahin rough bhi hoti hai.
Jinko har cheej ghar pe home delievery ki aadat hai chahe pizza ho ya gas. unko bhool k bhi nahin sochna chahiye yhan basne ki.
Jinko gas ka cylinder door step pe milta hai aur aadhe ghante peeth par utha kar pahad chadna hota hai to saari fancy dreaming khatam ho jaati hai.
sardiyon main swal he nahin nall se paani ayega.
To barf pe phislte huey bahut door se paani lana padta hai. Pipes bhi jamm jaati hain.
har saal kitne log fisal k girte fractures hote hain gaadiyan khaiyon main giir jaati hain skit ho kar aur log marte hain.
4 mahine Jindagi se nafrat ho jaati hai jabb paani pina hai to bhi struggle karni padti hai. khana bnane k liye himmat jutani padti hai.
Sirf summer vacations main aane walon ko lagta hai jannat hai.
kabhi winters k 2 hafte bita k dekho aur wo winters 4-6 mahine rehte hain yhan.
And at same time life is Hell boring that you can cry that feeling of being stuck!.
