      I am afraid I won't be much of a help with that, studying and sleeping schedules differs from person to person, but then a useful tip I can give is to study smart not hard, cover enough content to have time to go through question papers (the "s" in papers is very important 3 should be minimum)

  • @lethuthandontokozo8266

    Hi. I got the minimum requirements to get into medicine like my lowest was 5 in maths and physics and I didn’t get admitted in any medical institution. I’m average and really afraid to write my NBT because I know people who get 80% in maths but still fail the NBT yet I’m fighting so hard to get 60% it’s really frightening. I’m thinking of taking a gap year but very scared I might not be as interested in studying as I was. I'd think my mind would be tired and I’d fail med school. I could have done all the bsc extended courses but I lack information there’s no educated person at home who can help me and I’d be basically the first one to go to varsity so this makes accessibility very difficult because I lose chances that I might get but because of the place I come from(Village) I lose out some opportunities to achieve my goals. And I don’t imagine myself doing anything else besides medicine. I don’t have any talents so basically medicine is my only escape from poverty. But I’m struggling to go through it. Can you please advice me?

      Apply for any Bsc in the health sector. You can do Clinical Technology or Radiography or Medical Laboratory Science it's a 4 year course and the 1st two will get you exposed to the Hospital life in 2nd year. This courses help when it comes to GEMP Wits program. Just give yourself a chance and write you might be lucky.

      Also try the phlebotomist learnership their training is intense and you get to be exposed to hospitals so you can get more information while there. Applications are currently open in Ampath.

      @evankhoza6514 Před rokem +3

      (BSc Extended Programme) Yes you are eligible for selection as long as you didn't do any other course before, but then do apply as soon as possible, it has limited space. But the good side is you do everything you would do in BSc (6 months) for a year, meaning slow pace and understandable.
      Also BSc even if you did another course you can still be selected, but problem is, it is quite hard going through that route you should be getting outstanding marks.

      Hey
      Yes it's very competitive i'd advise one to aim for 80% instead of minimum requirements to get in via matric. I am glad you got into nursing and yes you can definitely get in via that route just make sure you aim for 70s in your modules. Wishing you all the best.
