I was wondering why I like Rahul, he sings amazingly or he is so passionate about what he does , his humility, the way he present him or him being not the stereotypical classic singer, he sports a USPA polo an IPad and seinheiser earphones that easily as he does in the classical setup …. Honestly not able to pick one so it should certainly be all of them and much more than that.

राहुल जी, गायन छान आहे. या गायनात मला आपण स्वतः पासून मुक्ती मिळवली आहे आणि भरारी घेतलेली दिसते आहे. कष्टांनी उभ्या केलेल्या संगीत प्रासादात वर्षानी वर्षे राहिलेला कोकीळ पक्षी बाहेर उडून जातो आणि नदीकिनारी झाडावर बसून मजेत शीळ घालतो ती ऐकावी असे झाले.
हे असे गाणे सोपे नाही. आणि शास्त्रीय संगीताच्या शिखरा वरून ही भरारी अगदी अनवट आणि दुर्गम आहे.

Otherwise, generally, classical singers look down upon hindi film music; especially the music & songs by the likes of R.D.Burman and Kishoreda.
Even, late Naushad (who adamantly stuck to classical music) used to hate R.D.Burman, Kishore Kumar & their kind of music.
It's a wonderful & soothing feeling that Pt. Bhimsen Joshi & you revel in listening to Kishoreda's songs composed by R.D. Burman & also praised them publicly without any inhibitions.
