I started skating when Tony Hawk's skateboarding first came out and loved it every since.

The skateboarding community has been by far the most supportive and incredible community I've ever become a part of. Ive lived and breathed cars my whole life and have completely left that toxic community. Wish I lived and breathed skating my whole life instead.

I see both sides to it being in the Olympics! The good is that it will open it up even more to people and people will respect it more to what it always deserved. The bad thing about skateboarding it will No Longer be an individual sport or LiFestyle anymore unfortunately. But No matter on the way you Look at it! Skateboarding will always be skateboarding No matter what.

it's great skating is getting recognized here but I will say most of the main speakers here don't really have a lot of credit in the skate world. When you only focus on contests people will see that and not really consider you part of the core. Gotta have a healthy balance of street/video footy + contests.

There should be schools building skateparks on their campuses and fielding school skate teams. Colleges should have scholarships for skateboarding. They have facilities and teams for other Olympic sports. Why do they still hate on skateboarding so much?

Update: I've started contacting college athletic directors to try and get some momentum behind schools supporting skateboarding. It's time.
Honestly I don’t think it’s too far off. I’m kinda surprised there aren’t some out there. Don’t quote me on this but I wanna say I saw something a little while back about some after school program for skateboarding. I think it was just for that one school and they were little kids. You are right tho it’s time for skateboarding to be treated as a real sport and for schools to open the opportunities for people to perfect their sport through school
2028 Olympics comes back to America in LA and will be Skateboardings third time in the olympics with the possible chance of Vert being added. That's when we will see a change 🔥
@@pushplanks I’d say the chances of seeing vert being added are INCREDIBLY LOW. They already have park. The audience and competitors for park is low as it is but vert is even lower and not much different from park.
