Clubs sometimes cause sims to act a little bit crazy

I noticed that though they dispised each other, they weren't declared enemies in their panel. I've found that if they have declared someone an enemy, they're more likely to fight autonomously. Traits could help this too like Evil or Mean.
Yeah there are specific thresholds that need to be passed for autonomous behavior. For mean interactions you have to be enemies, have fought a person once before or have the evil trait for the game to autonomously do it. For romance you have to have had your first kiss manually before the game will do any proper romance autonomously.
I did that with my "opposite twins" little thing! Edit:I made one good and one mean

Would love to see you play sims 2, like you said, if the sims hate each other (or if the traits meant they were mean) they will go tooth and nail, arguing and slapping. You have to step in like you said. Much more interesting than the ‘safe’ sims 4 game play!
I remember when I played Sims 2 and I kept making Lilith and Angela Pleasant fight and then Lilith ran away and I was so shook because I had never had that happen before 🤣

@Ivan Peixoto I agree, makes it more realistic. Apparently you just have to get to know the other Sim for the fighting to ensue.
What would be nice to see if sims would break out in randomn fights or they would randomnly slap eachother or start fighting or randomly throw drinks in eachothers faces etc the sims dont do anything when they are angry at eachother besides stomping around or be tense when they are around their enemies...that is drama to me lol
Maybe next time leave the bear out. Mason was more fixated on it than anything else. You removed her books, take away his bear. 😉

Beating on the teddy bear was down to his 'mean' trait, both kids teens and adults with that trait love to beat on the poor stuffed animals 😆
in the sims 3, (and ts2 tbh) when you have your autonomy level on high your sims will literally do the weirdest shit ever. it’s so fun to just watch what they do. a lot of the charisma from previous sims games is definitely lost in the sims 4, i hope they change this for the sims 5
I LOVE the dollhouse perspective if you do another experiment with a lot of sims it’ll be so much easier to see everything
I find it very interesting how Mason and Annabelle refused to interact with one another. Whenever I have sims who despise each other the always interact with each other, usually in a hostile manner. Also they gain tense/angry moodlets from being around someone they have a grudge with. Mean sims also make enemies on their own by simply beings dicks to other sims. Also the reason Mason ket hitting the teddy bear is because of his mean trait. Mean sims get joy out of beating up stuffed animals. All in all they was very interesting experiment.
In MCCC there is a setting for autonomous mean under MC Tuner on the computer. My mean sims are always mean to everybody when that is enabled.
My Evil sims need me to swoop in to stop them insulting their loved ones 😅
@@Ardelin_ Reasons why I don’t use those traits, it’s annoying to have to micromanage them so they don’t destroy all their relationships and my storyline lol
Interesting, I would think that in real life, two adults who despise each other and are forced to live in the same house would probably behave quite similarly. People usually try to avoid uncomfortable situations, so interacting with someone you hate would probably be something you’d try to avoid, mostly by ignoring that person. Perhaps if both sims had a more confrontational trait like hot headed or mean (I know one of them had it) it could’ve resulted it more interactions.. not sure though, this gives room to many interesting iterations. Love these experiments btw, I’m going to try them in my own game.
Right. Sims 2 Sims are immature which is funnier to watch for some. Wonder why she didn't try to really have them interact like discuss hot topics
To be fair me and ex couldn't stand each other but couldn't afford to move out on our own would go days not speaking. One Saturday when neither of us had plans we didn't speak to each for 8 hours even though we both were home the whole time.

Oh gosh Sims 4 enemies don't act like enemies at all! Sims 2 will go all out to argue, slap and insult each other without the player telling them to do that. and they would NEVER share the bed.
I lived in a house with someone I level 100 didn't like. (I couldn't yet move and they refused to) We didn't fight or argue or interact in any way. We just passed by each other just like the other didn't exist. Just like your sims.
Contrast that with my roommate which I did like, we would interact often and gift reach other.
The point: Just because you live with someone you don't like doesn't mean you'd automatically be antagonistic, but there is a tendency to gravitate towards people you do like.
I want to see this experiment in the Sims 2 just to see the carnage.

She was trying to listen in & hear if Mason was taking an angry 💩 after beating the 💩 out of the bear for 6+ hours straight...
I remember when I first started playing and I started with the Sims 2 at the time it was only two or three packs in, I didn't know much about the traits and had somehow aligned three girls that were compatible in a household and then added a fourth whose traits did not match with them and they slowly began to make each other's lives hell to the point where the fighting wouldn't stop and I had to move the one girl that I had added out into another household. They started just glaring at her as she would pass them and then eventually talking s*** to her and then fighting knock down drag out. It was quite disturbing as I had no idea that this was even a possibility. Another instance I took two of the three grunt children out of the house and had them live with somebody else and the father started talking the house and then stalking them wherever they went. At first I didn't notice when he was stealing the paper he was so fast I didn't know it was him but eventually I caught him and then caught him peeping through the windows it got really creepy. This would never happen in Sims 4 even with all the added customized traits

I love your experiments and the narration that you do elevates every single video. I would recommend that you check the mod have some personality please, I does help a lot with autonomy.

i LOVE the dollhouse perspective! i was looking at dollhouse builds just the other day on the sims gallery lol! i love the other tips people have left in the comments about if you did decide to redo this there are some ways to get them to be more autonomous. its odd that u gotta cross that threshold for them but i guess its best that way ur sims dont go around ruining relationships u build up at least too badly.

I think the reason they won't autonomously kiss or woo hoo is because they haven't had their first kiss. The first kiss they won't do autonomously but once you have them do that, then they should do more romantic interactions autonomously.
its probably a decision that gives the player control over important situatuions in their sims lifes, they might be sad missing the first kiss of their sim if they did it autonomously
@@happytofu5 Could be, who knows with the SIMS team. Could be also they don't want sims going at it with each other unless the player gives the go ahead. ;)
Ive actually had Sims that autonomously woohoo and it was only one time, maybe it was a bug? But it was quite realistic and I'd like to see it alot more in my game!
I love how in the sims 2 when sims didn’t like each other they would not even sit on the same table. It’s the little things like that which make the game so interesting.
I'm genuinely shocked that they did laundry on their own. I have, how many hundred hours in the sims...? And yet I'm not sure if I've ever seen them do laundry on their own... :'D

I've noticed that it's more the traits of the sims locked up together... If they only have conflicting traits , then they fight 😹😹😹 fun test to find the right traits , especially when they are supposed to be lovers
What a good idea for a house layout, all jokes aside. I hate multi story houses sometimes because it can get tedious for me to switch floors lol but this they can have that and I can still keep an eye on them easier

My sims argue all of the time. I think the trick might be a chess set or intelligent traits, because I have a werewolf Sims that's made virtually everyone despise them but that's just werewolf households for you. But from time to time they still sit around the chess set and go at each other's throats.

When I first started playing Sims 2 I would relate to my friends things that my Sims were doing which first off if they weren't gamers in any way they couldn't have cared less but if I hadn't clarified that it was in a game and if they were mistakenly thinking I was talking about actual people they would think that it was a totally mad situation whether humorous or disturbing. This on its own would never happen in Sims 4.
would be interesting to put a new born baby in the mix.. they both still hate each other, but perhaps the baby would bring them together.. as long as both had good relationships with the baby... because the baby would be the one thing which would bring to in close proximity to each other..
If you put them in a club with fighting or woohooing as an activity then they will autonomously do them
I tested the enemies one in the Sims2. They almost died because they didn't take time off from outright fighting to eat 🤣
For the lovers portion you may have wanted to have them first kiss before starting because they never autonomously first kiss, but they will kiss autonomously aftwerward
God, I miss the time when things were more... Spontaneous.
For embarrassment, ive read that they only need 3 walls to avoid embarrasment while peeing which i why things lik3 the bathrooms in the Oasis Springs park and Willow Creek gym work

It's so weird that they won't be mean to each other. I have a save where I only control the mom, and her two kids can't stop being mean to each other. They went from friends to enemies autonomously once the younger one was given the mean trait.
Part of me sees the fun colorful graphics of Sims 4 and wants to buy in. Then I open one of my Sims 2 households and an angry ex partner comes by and kicks over a trashcan and I'm like 'nah, sims 2 is cool.'
I think if you cheat some sentiments (a grudge or make them official Enemies) they might do more.

I find it funny they get the same dazed moodlet if they are doing drugs or staring at the washer machine. There's only one logical explanation, staring at the washer spinning... gets you high. I'll be right back!

The sims do kiss and make out autonomously, I've had massive problems with big family reunions where one of the sims will be in a flirty mood for Christmas, start flirting with his cousin's wife and end up making out with her in front of everyone.

I miss drama in my game. When i played TS2, I left my bf alone with my game for 30 minutes, came back and 2 Sims has died and 1 was on fire. Wasn’t even mad.

I think there are a lot of interactions that are locked if you haven't had the "First Kiss". (To add to the other commenter's observations.) Oh, yeah, you got there like 2 seconds after I posted my comment lol

Edit: also sims will autonomously Woo-hoo if they have woohooed before. EA doesn't want your sims to autonomous Woo-hoo if they're virgins lol I have a medieval save so we have no entertainment and my husband and wife are constantly woohooing. After 10 babies and 8 pregnancies, that's how I started doing the 100 baby challenge on accident
i noticed lately that my sim autonemesly use the closet to woohoo, and not my sim is pragnent without me having choosen for it. maybe if you do such experiment again try the closet. (or maybe its cuz i have some mods on idk)

Dollhouse is good for looking at the whole house at once, that why I don't think you really need a dollhouse since you'll actively control the camera. Plus dollhouse only look good on one angle.

I don't understand why the Sims team has abandoned the programming that allows for very radical behavior without the use of mods. It used to be a very strong core element of the game and it seems to have been scrubbed. Which is the reason why many long-term Sims players as well as new Sims players are frequently quickly bored with the game. I myself being a very slow player and builder as well as frequently focusing on creating my Sims only mildly experience the same sense of dismay that many other players are experiencing and it's just not right. The people that are able to play this game at warp speed should be able to do so without becoming bored. The people that make this game are clearly superior gamers to me so I don't understand what they're problem is. We pay a lot of money for this game and we should not be getting diminishing features especially after having been given more diversity at a lower price point in the past.
