I haven't lived in NY in 15 years but I was born in the Bronx and raised in Queens...My pops use to live on 181st and Vyse in the Bronx near the Bronx Zoo. Back then it was a heavy drug area and I believe it still is. Anyway I remember my fathers block was always fighting with literally the block right across the street. If you lived on one block and was caught on the other you may get shot fucked up or stabbed so imagine being from outta town....It was crazy

That's crazy right. It's like if you don't really have no biz in the bx you really ain't going up there. And back in the day if you wasn't from bk you just didn't go there. I know plenty dudes that just said naaa i ain't going to Brooklyn and i don't blame em. You liable to get victimized out in bk. FACTS

You know when they reach cause it was mad mfers walking, mean muggin and chanting "BROOKLYN" under their breath, hittin random mfers daring them to fight back. You got a crew of 4 or 5? They surround you and you getting hit from all directions, then the Timberland stomp out. Cats start tucking their chains in. Girls too. It seems to be very few of those women like myself left and that's ok wit me I dnt follow the trends of what these females do. I am who I am I have respect for myself & respect for my loved ones. @@dominiquecovin4170 I wouldn't put robbery and rape anywhere in the same category. Armed robbery or just plain face to face is more about imposing your presence on another person. Robbery being about I can do what I want and here's your opportunity to stop me. This about financial gains. Rape is a sexual thing and does deal with power. Although it's more about sexual gratification. That's like saying i drink because i want to solely get drunk and not because it helps me relax. Both have similarities but the outcomes are completely different.
A thief just runs out of your house is the cover of darkness with your TV. A coward moves in the cover of darkness. A robber is up front and leave no speculation. It's more of a unstoppable force meets immovable object. Both are crime and still in total negative. I'm just saying I'd find more respect for the person that robs me face to face apposed to the guy that steals my wallet and tries to help me find it.

As for Brooklyn vs. Bronx, the Bronx was the only other borough we had respect for. We used to hit Jimmy's Bronx Cafe, I think Fat Joe made it hot, at least to guys in Brooklyn. But in those days we never partied in Brooklyn, BK had no girls and it was too dangerous, so we hit clubs in Manhattan and Jimmy's BX once in a while.
Going to the BX was the only time we worried about getting into beef, outside of BK, because the Bronx was known to be almost as thorough as Brooklyn.
