I drove a 74 Marmon for a year or so. Believe me it was the finest truck I have ever driven. I'm a Peterbilt man myself, and no rookie. I retired with 30 years under my belt. I'm telling you, these Marmons were not the prettiest truck of my choice, but in my opinion it is the rolls Royce of big rigs. The cabs are unbelievable for a quiet comfortable ride. You did a great job with this one. You should be very proud of yourself for owning such a beautiful piece of equipment. Good luck to you with it. WOLFMAN--- So. Cali.
My boss took me to the plant in Garland TX to pick up a brand new one in early 70's, heaviest truck I ever drove. 1693TA Cat and a Spicer Air 4X4, no one ever passed me on a hill but it couldn't pass a fuel pump
Yes you are correct my dad drove for a company that had marmon in the early -mid 70s then they switched to Peterbilt my dad loved his Peterbilt but I use to ride with him and we agreed the marmon was#1
My dad was a truck driver from 1962 till 2006. I remember as a kid he had a Marmon. Actually 3. But all at different times. He use to tell everyone that marmon is the rolls Royce of trucks. Looking at this truck brought back so many memories.
Interior is stunningly beautiful
Part from the fact that he has his shifter around backwards
That is an incredible restore! All credit to Ryan for such dedication. I would hope that a truck like this will be preserved for decades to come as a testament to the resolve and determination of American ingenuity and pride.
Marmon...nuff said ain't it? Every single one was custom built to order. Dad ordered one back in about 75 or so. I can still remember the sound of that 8v92 TA Detroit! I own Cummins powered Freighters and they're great but nothing like that Marmon. Dad regretted trading it until the day he died!
I forgot all about these beautiful trucks, I haven't seen one since the late 80's, early 90's.
"Wonderfully Done Sir"...
I have only ever seen 2 Marmon trucks in my life. Both were hoods. This is the first cabover I've seen. It's absolutely beautiful.
Your is the best example I've ever seen and I turned a wrench for fifty years.
Hands down it's stunning...
Thank you so much for sharing that trucking treasure! I've enjoyed restoring things since a friend of mine and I back in 78 model Packard being teenagers of course the first thing we fixed was the radio. She was a beauty got Mormon that's a Monet. Exquisitely done, a solid 10. Thank you for saving the history and sharing it with the public. It is well appreciated in my home.
Are you kidding me, that is beyond a work of art, I started my apprenticeship with cummins building those motors.
What can I say I am speechless
Absolutely beautiful work done by the owner, wish that i could see it live one day.
Very nice!!!
Me and my dad actually just bought a Marmon on the 27th of March (2015) and its also in our community which makes it even better because we dont have to go too far to go and get it
They never show marmon. Sweet
Awesome truck... have a place in my heart for Cab Overs. Rally nice to see such a rare rig,
That is so freaking awesome you don't even see those Marmon trucks anymore now this guy did that now that's class thank you for the video looking forward to seeing more of your big rig videos keep them coming brother
Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe this work of art!
I had big K100 and Kta100, old nice, but this one is Big M and its off the shelf, absolutely stunning. Superb. TH
I am from Central Canada and drove over the road throughout North America for almost 20 years and I only saw 1 Marmon conventional which was actually in northern Ontario. Had to do a double take because I remember the driving instructors who were all former long haul drivers talking about Marmons being a rare sight, wish I had my camera. Always have to appreciate well taken care of or reserected iron from the working man's perspective.
Utterly amazing....a remarkable restoration. Love that truck!
About time yall showed a cabover. Love the channel but we need a couple cabover rolling interviews!
Thanks, Check the Wheel Jam DVD there is a segment with a Freightliner, Peterbilt and Kenworth cabovers.
BigRig Videos I'll have to check it out. Thanks
Class act, both the truck as well as the owner. Very well done, thanks for keeping this piece of history alive. Kinda cool that he just goes out cruising in it with the wife, a true headgear .
I like cabovers! I started out in them and wish they were still used in the industry. This Marmon is beautiful. Thanks for the video.
The guy did a seriously fantastic job at restoring it
That makes me happy a gorgeous classic unmolested and with somebody who truly loves and appreciates it great find never even heard of marmon before keep the vids coming
My father bought one of these new when I was a kid. Loved riding in that thing with him.
I am not A big fan of Marmons styling but this IS ONE AMAZING RESTORE! Great job and long live COEs
my dad had over 100 marmon trucks EAST PENN TRUCKING CO LEHIGHTON PA. duane his 10 on the road today.
Simply Stunning, beautiful highly detailed restoration, It is an absolute credit to the owners attention to detail & workmanship.
Cleanest cabover I have ever seen. I've seen some flashy ones but that one has some real class, and the bunk looks real nice and cozy.
A rare gem! Thanks Big Rig Videos for filming it so we all could see a Marmon.
What a fantastic truck. It is a credit to you!
Back in the day there used to be a lot of Marmons hauling potatoes out of northern Maine, how times have changed. Beautiful truck!!!!
Every day I'm seeing these old trucks I've never even heard of. I'd love to see what it was restored from. That is one beautiful truck, I envy the owner. Well done sir well done. 👍😎
Damn what a tractor! Those Marmon's were something special in my opinion.
Beautiful truck! I love an old COE I miss the days when they ruled the highways.
Rare truck beautifully restored, a credit to the owner.
Awesome truck, great to see the video after seeing the truck at the 75 chrome shop this weekend!
He did an awesome job restoring that truck .
Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful Truck thanks for posting
One Beautiful Truck, these new trucks don’t hold a candle to the beauty of the trucks from the 70’s & 80’s.
I love your passion for the old trucks,
I love the truck in this video, an thank you for sharing, can't wait to see what you have next.
Very beautiful truck
like that truck brought back a lot of old memories.

What a stunning truck. Great job on the build.
My dad was an owner operator for nearly 40 years (he passed in 2008) and I've been an owner operator for nearly 20 years. Dad ordered a new Marmon cabover back in the mid 70s w/the 8v92ta Detroit 15 speed and 3.73 Rockwell rears. He traded it in about 85 or so for a new W-9 w/a 425 Cat 13 speed and 3.73 Rockwells. He always said that while the KW rode better the Marmon was built better and that the Cat was a dog compared to his old Detroit! I'd LOVE to know what happened to dads Marmon. I see them now and then but they're always beat up day cabs. I still love the music of the old 2 stroke Detroits too!
very nice rig, great work, flawless, used to see these Marmons when I was a kid, thanks for sharing this!
Better than new. A beauty, well done!
Wow! Showitoff 'old school Marmon' she's a beauty. #keepontruckin 👍
Nice old truck! Nice restoration! I miss the good old days seeing those.
This is the nice truck, the best I have seen so far, and its a COE survivor, wow. TH
Wow, what a beauty!
Love it! 🥰 I drove my 1st cabover...78 Marmon ..What an experience! I was shocked that my brother let me behind the wheel.
I drove 2 Marmons a75& a78 both were p57 big hoods they were a class all their own.I put a cup of coffee on dash one time & drove 40 mile before I remembered it it was still there never spilled a drop the truck rode better than most cars.
Nice cabover and very unique since cabovers aren't made anymore and also since Marmon trucks aren't made anymore. Always good seeing brands of trucks that use to be produced that aren't anymore.
simply awesome and totally beautiful .
Beautiful truck ..
Wow Marmon Cabover that is EXTREMELY RARE and Really Cool. 😎 🚚 🚛
Really good looking rig.. loved them ole Mormon trucks.. not up on them, but I never knew they had that V-grill and bumpers .. I know a guy out in the key stone state that has several nice conventionals, but this one tops them..
Beautiful truck, great restoration; i remember many of these Marmons on Texas roads in the 60-70s.
Well done Champion!!
Rare find. I can tell that thing was hand-built craftsmanship is unbelievable.
Beautiful.
This is one beautiful cab!
Great Truck. Marmons Top Notch , made for the driver to be proud behind the wheel and run with the best of em.
I have seen exactly 3 Marmons in the 4 years I’ve been on the road and only 1 was a work truck, the others were show trucks. And the only one I could get the driver to talk about the truck was the work truck. I would love to have one of these for restoration.
Absolute beautiful truck. I will be on the search for one now.
The Western Vancouver Island heritage society in British Columbia Canada has a very similar P110 to this only in red. It’s part of their museum collection. Very rare trucks indeed.
There's just something about a "Super M" and a "Big Star" that keeps my attention. You have a truck that's as nice as it is one-of-a-kind. Nice.
Nice to see some older trucks on here! I think its about time for a 2 stroke Detroit appearance. Awesome videos!
Beautiful truck, love those old cabovers. Nice work
Marmon built quite a few of these, however they are extremely rare to see anymore. My brother had a 110" coe with the V grill in the 80's and I worked for a fellow that owned a Marmon dealership in Roanoke Va called Roanoke Truck Sales back in the 70's and early 80's and he ordered some I'd love to have today. Specifically a black one w/red interior and factory 240" web on a the 110" coe. Love to know what happened to her.... VERY NICE TRUCK BTW!!!
When I drove for norsub, inc. back in the early 80's , cranberry,pa. We had a white n blue c.o.e like that ,I drove the black n red, silver conventional single bunk, had a 400 big cam 3 ,15 spd w od, 5 deep reducshion switch was on the floor between the seats, both were 1977's. Steel hauling machine's ,I have pics of the big hood.
One of the BEST
That is an awesome truck! Kudos to the great video interview. Very dignified.
I love the wood grain on the dash!
Made to order trucks, not many made. Spectacular truck,a work of art!
Awesome stuff, love the cabover, never drove one, but I appreciate the look and history!
Nice interior, nice dashboard.👍👍👍
Just saw this from a link to TTR. He's done a great job on the cab and interior. A Caterpillar 3408 under the shed would make it perfect!
Glad ya liked it. What's TTR?

+gm16v149 Ah, okay. Thanks for the link!
+BigRig Videos It's a good website, I use it quite a lot. I doubt if there's a problem with copyright because the guy didn't claim it as his own and it gives you more views.
Cool truck man. I love the few cab overs that were built right. I used to make jokes on the radio about Marmon and Western Star cab overs but never saw one til now. 👍🏾👍🏾 Keep on truckin.
Another great video
My cousin drove a Marmon back in the mid 70's.
Marmon the Rolls Royce of trucks
That is a beautiful truck... you did a great job mate.
An Old School work of Art.👌💯
That truck is too beautiful to work . It would be in my living room.
My buddy has a 57
Going to visit him sometimes soon and see if he’ll finally want to sell it. It’s been sitting for over 15 in his yard.

COE's are getting to be rare in general, but a Marmon? Super cool.
Many years ago Cresco Lines from Chicagoland had all Marmon COE's. I believe they were also a dealer.
