- Pilot Jeff Boerboon performs aerobatics in the unique Yak-110 during the Tuesday airshow at EAA AirVenture 2019 in Oshkosh, WI. This aircraft is two Yak-55s mated together with a jet engine strapped underneath!

I love this contraption! We don't have anything innovative, 'different' or 'weird and wacky' at UK airshows. Not even a jet-powered truck. The manoevres performed by the Yak 110 are impressive, and be rest assured that a Yak 55 cannot perform these sort of aerobatics.

I saw / HEARD this aircraft at Oshkosh yesterday. :) It is hard to overstate how LOUD this aircraft was... Kids were covering their ears !!

Ironically, they are opposites. The Yak 110 is two Yak 55s bolted together.
The Twin Mustang was designed and built from a clean sheet design.

Wikipedia is states there was a new prototype that became the P51H. The fuselage was lengthened and the center wing built.

That's pretty noisy. What kind of jet engine is in there? It sounds like an F-18 almost, but that can't be it in there.
It’s a General Electric CJ610 turbojet. That’s why it’s so loud.

You can easily see the power to weight ratio is way up there.
And the tremendous drag as well.
Endured its flight exhibitions frequently during EAA AirVenture this year. IMHO it answers a question no one asked, and turns wasted $$ into annoying noise. Guess you could say that deafening noise 'just because you can' is something less than entertaining for ME. Right up there with that idiot smoked mystery meat jet biplane nuisance. I just don't get it.
