This was in bf3 as well but it was better. You needed a repair tool if your vehicle was below like 60 % unlike BF4 where it repaired at as low as 10 percentage .. BF1 allowed you to repair from inside with auto repairs as well. BF3 did it best

@@lastHERO22 Battlefield 2 was the peak battlefield for me the bugs were so extensive and online patches were unthinkable ! The engineer had a single shotgun that was op as fuck until you got more than 18 feet away ! The medals were hard as fuck to earn and elites with thousands of hours still had empty ribbons ! Where a kill was only worth 10 and the leaderboard was counted in the millions not Trillions ! It was simpler chaotic and hilarious !

But it IS an EA game... so you can purchase the scoreboard with EA bucks in-game probably.

@CORNPOPTIMUS PRIME You aint wrong, we will have to see how it goes. BF5 recovered itself a bit with the pacific update, but it was a little to late. With 2042 at least they have an excuse to use creative freedom for a near futuristic game.
@CORNPOPTIMUS PRIME 5 is still a good game imo, just the few changes to gameplay like changing up how spotting works does not have a good after taste

I remember in BF3 when the cannister shell and the AP shell were seperate on MBTs, so you could fire a cannister then switch straight to main weapon and fire again. Oh those were the days.

I think the specialist system will work just fine when the game comes out. I just think they are stupid for not giving us the whole specialist system during the beta cause people were mad that the beta had bland shitty specialists. I also hope they make them all look specific to their faction

This was my favorite episode. Fun fact: you could only have one knife animation at a time on a map. Then they fixed it and we could knife together properly.

we all laughed at this when we were younger but now most people realized that they were the old man....and that the old man was ultimately right in the end. They did in fact ruin battlefield.
The biggest change is that DICE decided to make a new IP without any of BF’s features in it and slapped the name onto it. They didn’t just ruin Battlefield, they turned it into a trash Apex Legends LTM which would have even been bad in that game.

@@TheStrikeofGod I think a lot of the bitching comes from the fact that people there are relatively new to the franchise, and BF games have a knack on making people tilt really hard at times. There's some incredibly stupid takes on that subreddit that I'm confident that people made and upvoted out of anger and frustration.
Personally, I've been playing 2042 around 5-10 hours each day since it got released, haven't had this much fun in a game for ages.

Second, the 4.0 update proves there is still a chance for the game to be turned around.
I do think the wait is absurd and there should have been some form of large content before Season 1, but I am happy they are fixing the game instead of just slapping content into it as is.

This was literally me back when I built my first PC just to play BF3.
" Take a take shot to the face and walk it off" Yup never felt so fragile in a BF game before in a tank lol. See another tank or vehicle and go full throttle towards them. See I dude running down the hill with c4 taking several tank shots to the face and I retreat in terror hiding at my spawn point in a fetal position crying in the tank.
Should have played BFV then, tanks were devastating when used right. You can easily break 100 kill games in tanks being aggressive even when you get good and you have a decent pilot to keep planes off you in the squad. It took teamwork to keep the tank going to, someone to repair, someone in the sky, and a good tanker.

Funny though, they did ruin BF because this release doesn't feel like Battlefield no matter how many hours in. It's missing it's soul and even Jackfrags, Westie and others have stated the same thing. Seems they made this for casuals once again. I guess we shall see what the launch day patch does, I suspect not much.
Honestly? 100% agree with you the fact they changed it so much it feels soulless, but not sure it's because they "made it for casuals", rather they "made it for self-centered pricks with no will to teamplay and communicate", which honestly were two of the main things that made battlefield the great thing it has the potential to be.
And I'm sorry to say, but big BF content creators can complain all day long, yet they were part of the process (and marketing) that sold battlefield as a game that you play for cinematics and "do whatever you want", instead of playing for the fun of being part of a team and communicate with strangers to help eachother out

Most casuals I've come across as well as current BF players mostly have no concept of teamwork or squad play that made BF what it is. I'm heartbroken that my beloved franchise that I have played since release day one of 1942 has been ruined. I will hold out for some hope this changes for the better, I suspect it may not though.
@@luis-ciphermstar6597 in part yeah, but this thing has gone on for so much time (I'd say that the seeds of it were already there in BF3 and BF4 marketing and "clusterfuck maps") that some of them aren't casuals anymore, but full on sweatlords that only care about topping the leaderboard with their k/d and head-on attack actions (and are even good at it). They are what pushes the game pace to be too fast and "braindead actions".
I mean I admit that I was one of those, coming from CoD and mostly playing maps like metro and locker, only difference is that I was not a good 1v1 player, but by playing I realized that the most fun in battlefield comes from hard fought, balanced matches, were both teams have lots of cooperation and good communication/coordination
Seeing all of this slowly going away and turning into a "one team steamrolls the other 90% of the time, while people don't even care about their team" has taken the fun away from the game for me

Ahh yes... the tanks in WW2 that did no damage and weren't the difference between winning and losing.
If you want tanks in a game, they will 1 shot you and have borderline un-killable armor to most ground troops. That's how they are designed
They obviously need balancing numbnuts, 99% of people don't even use tanks as intended in BF they sit at the back of the map and run away when they take 1hp damage.
