“Oh it’s Colin’s leg day”
“I see, I’ll just do machines today then”

@@Klaxxos no way bros hating 🍷
You got me laughing bro xdd
@@Klaxxos ain't no way bro. The only way to settle this is an epic fight. You can only throw weights.
Thinking the same. The whole gym is watching because they all need 45s
Life must never get boring as a world class powerlifter, you can just go to any busy commercial gym and watch the reactions
When you get attention in every gym, it gets boring really quick.
It’s just dudes coming over do a fist bump. No girls give a crap.
@@MarcoAshford simp
@@DimaShinder How's that have anything to do with simp? All I'm saying is seeking surface level attention gets boring really quick, unless something serious happens.
@@MarcoAshford He has a gf.. I don't really think he's in it for the orgies mate. There are probably easier ways to nab tail.
I'm not sure if he competes but if you don't have your numbers in the record books of some powerlifting federation, you can't label someone "world class".
I like the fact this guy doesn't seem arrogant just intense and passionate about training. He has learned about the importance of tuning out distractions and focusing on taking it out on the weights.
I remember those good ol day's. I'm 41 now showing my son's Dad still has something left in the tank when I'm benching and squatting before my heavy day's are over. Great job young guy 👍
Dude you're 41 not 81, stop being a wuss and go lift some heavy ass weight. You make 40 plus sound like they are old and feeble.
How can you know anything about a person from a 3 min edited video?
too bad he claims natty
its called minding your own business dude🤣
Best part of video isn't lift it's the commentary! "The level of disrespect I'm going to show these weights!" The confidence is inspiring!
This guy rocks , love how he’s like the hero of the gym but isn’t boastful , he’s here to shred them weights , and help his fellow gym goers
Amazing, you know he didn't look for shortcuts 🙏
He is a bit boastful... But it's definitely earned
yes he is very humble indeed LMFAO
he is as humble as he is natural
@@skrettsnerk508 All i saw was a guy proud about his pump lmao, when he starts at 495 he said he only knew he was gonna go up once he felt the weight on his back. Like come on the man didnt come thinking he was gonna do it that easy. Also he was respectful to everyone around him, most of the guys doing this type of weight in a gym are loud and don't care.
He’s literally posting this video lol
People may not understand the full picture. This is a very rare scene because even powerlifters like him may not be doing PR every day. It's always a pleasure to see one at live. It sounds completely different from a video. When the bars hit the ground, the earth trembles. The plate and the bar sounds like two trucks hitting each other. Go to the gym and every once in a while, you get a treat to spot one live.
I'm lucky that i go to a gym mostly aimed at powerlifting/strongman/olympic lifting. Get to see a lot of freaks pulling crazy numbers there. I only dabble and mostly in Olympic but it's great motivation

You don’t need to lift heavy weights to gain muscles.. it’s a myth that you need to lift more heavy weights to gain muscles. It has to do with number of reps and the way you perform them in order to achieve muscle fatigue. Lifting heavy weights is for the “show”.
A 2016 study called ‘Pumping Iron: Lighter Weights Just As Effective As Heavier Weights To Gain Muscle, Build Strength’ published in the Journal Of Applied Physiology found something interesting. It compared two groups of experienced lifters over a 12-week period in which one group used lighter weights (up to 50% of maximum strength) “for sets ranging from 20 to 25 repetitions. The other group lifted heavier weights (up to 90 per cent of maximum strength) for eight to 12 repetitions. Both groups lifted to the point of failure." The conclusion, using muscle and blood samples, said that gains in muscle mass and muscle fibre size were “virtually identical".
@@firewall19 I knew this but wasn’t aware of the study specifically. Im gonna go read it this morning. Thanks for the tip my friend
Just wanted to thank you for all this content. My best friend is Asian and kept using his race as an excuse to not go to the gym with me. Saying things like Asians are smaller frame so no point and other negative false bs. Found your channel and shared it to him. Now feeling inspired, hes been going to the gym with me for a month now and I can tell he feels much more confident. Thanks for all the videos and I hope for your success!
Yes he should stop using race as an excuse. At my local gym some of
The biggest guys are Asian. As long as you put in the work and apply progressive overload you will see results and get bigger
Just remember, it's not always about how big your muscles are. You can still be fairly small and look great. Arnold Schwarzenegger once commented on Bruce Lee's physique, yet Bruce only weighed approx 140lb at 5'8.
WTF I'm 34 and some of the strongest dudes I know are Filipino and Korean at the gym
Dang, when I started going to the gym in high school a Vietnamese asian dude trained me to work out.
my ol football offensive coach was asian, dude was built like an ox and had logs for legs. his calves were so fucking huge dude i stg. he owned a crossfitting (lol ik) and a commercial gym and let the players go for free whenever we needed more weight training for the off/on season
it's awesome to see you inspiring young men!
dude youre stronger than me and ive always been the strongest guy i know without being super huge. i also powerlift but what youre doing in numbers, and also in being a kind and humble human being, is exactly what i aspire towards. if you ever compete in colorado, maybe i'll see you around 👍
Very inspiring. I did deadlift 140kg for 5x5. Next week it will be 150kg 4x4 😎 Your lifts actually inspire me to lift hard and 0 craps given what other say.
thats pretty good, have u got 180 kilos yet? im doing 4x4 with 145kg and I got 180kg (my best reps though is 140kg for 8)
@@shuafaouhgra3228 I tried 180kg last PR week. I did 175kg and was hoping I might do it. But 180kg came off the ground but I couldn't finish the lift so failed. So back to the drawing board for 180kg at the last week of 2022.
And here i am only one repping 110 with bad form 😂
@@ramseychong8787 try doing 175 for it, for deadlift I find even at this weight +20 pounds can feel really daunting, so do maybe 175kg (which I did before 180) and then go for 180
I am a frim believer in 5x5 :) , I am currently in deadlift trying to finish 190kg 5x5.
I managed 185kg last week 5x5...
Once I hit my current 5x5, I add 5kg.
I do the 5x5 once a week, but I do my auxiliary lifts as well during the week. Hip thrust, leg press etc.
and once a month I take a day and check my 1RM on a day where I feel good :D
Form above all, the rest just comes... eat good and sleep well.

I was thinking the same thing. I feel like I kind of "get" it now.
How do you get this far w/out knee injury? Ive built good legs just using machines but ik what you all might think of machines😂 My joints and tendons around my knees have always been too weak for barbell squat and deadlifts. I’ve trained legs for 3 years so far but I avoid the barbell squat and deads cause I always get damaged clicking noises around the knees after I do them :L. Bare in mind I also do my form correctly :L
The best parts: using clips and not throwing the bar down on the deadlifts (controlled drop). Serious respect!
