I think we need to become aware of ourselves. Question every habit, feeling, desire, fault, etc. to be alive. Many situations force this upon us where we can no longer live unconscious. We need to look at our programming and dig into the why's of it. I agree if we slap professions on ourselves without the deep search first it's like a bandaid on an injury which doesn't heal.

Change is only impossible when a need for change is not seen. You can't change what you aren't aware NEEDS to change, right? The problem is we want to see change in others first. We see things, behaviors, attitudes we don't like within them, and for some reason seem to believe we have a "say" of some sort in who they choose to be. The Truth is we don't have a "say" in anyone's behavior except our own. However, our own behavior can influence the behavior of others without any extra effort on our part. Have you ever been at or seen a big sports game where one person starts chanting something, then more people, then an entire section of people, until eventually the entire stadium is resounding with this chant? If the ONE had not chosen to begin the process, the process would have never started. BE the change you want to see in the world and the world WILL change. 🦋
Set out a path of a conscious practice set up 25 objects to pick them up and remember the whole trip with detail in between instead of walking from a to z that perspective would be a car with nothing in between but acknowledging every object and what did you take in between the objects when we can take in everything we get to enjoy a whole hidden world
