- [Builder's view] Tamiya 1/24 Subaru Impreza WRC '98 Monte-Carlo is in progress.
While painting some of the smaller parts, I started working on the door lining. Normally, the lining isn’t very visible, but since I’m making the door operable, it’s now an area that will be seen more clearly. The lining originally has a mesh pocket, but since it wasn’t very well-made, I replaced it with a different mesh material.
I will make tweets such as the announcement of the start of the live broadcast on X(Twitter)

Very cool technique of making mesh door pockets! The white thread really helped bring the detail to the next level!

Hi Kenji, you are always thinking of new ideas, and execute them with precision. I think the UV glue kit is cool, and the included light is a good size to get close to your work area. I think you made a good guess on the proximity of the light for curing. All of the details on this project have been very exciting so far. I hope that you did not have too much effect from the earth quake. Thank you for sharing Kenji, and take care.

The earthquakes have not affected me at all. However, there have been a lot of big earthquakes recently, so I'm a little scared.
The production is progressing a little slowly, but I think the content is coming along well.😊

茶漉しは若い頃に実車をいじってて、エアフローメーターを移設して押し込み式にした時に、タービンの吸込み口に付けてました。😅
中々模型では使う機会が無いですけど、自分ならこういったネット系の工作にはガーゼを使いますかねぇ。
金属の網だと加工が大変ですし、Kenjiさんのように器用に切り出し出来ないので…😅
周囲のゴムバンドの再現は、プラストラクトの細いプラ棒を使うかなぁ。
経年劣化を考えれば、金属での再現のほうが良いのでしょうが。😊
次回も楽しみにしております。

実車のフィルターに使えますね、茶こし😁
今回は、ひし形の網目を探して茶こしになったのですが、布系の網目がひし形のものって少なくなっていますね。網ばっかり探して100均になんども行きました😂
光瞬着は紫外線をあてない限り接着能力がないのである程度ゆっくり作業ができますね
部屋の明かり(蛍光灯)や窓際だと紫外線が入ってきて固まりますが
固めるのはいつも使っている紫外線ランプの方が使いやすいかもです
あとは変にプラを溶かさないのでクリアプラの接着に使うと良いです
まあ、いつものクリアレジンでも接着には問題ないっちゃないですが
この光瞬着は可視光で固まるのです。なので普通のライトでも強く当たれば固まるので便利です。あとはおっしゃるとおりですね。

何にせよ接着まで時間が稼げるので使い勝手は良さそう

その数年後に週間インプレッサを作るでGDBWRカーを素組で作ったけど週間シリーズではこのGC8型のWRカーが作りたかったな
