I am just starting on a Violin I purchased from someone off of EBay, no plans to be a professional but just the same, I do have an interest to learn the basics. There is something about a Violin that draws me into the music being played that no other instrument does. One of my favorites is "Last Kiss" from the Last of the Mohicans, kind of has that Irish/Scottish sound to it, or at least that is what I heard out of it anyways. I want to say Thank You for Your Tutorial, it is a Blessing to me, Sincerely, Jeff

what i have problems is not with the sounds that is easy, my problem is the pegs, i am always afraid to break a string,

Because it is way more comfortable for me and sets up the violin properly. Many famous violinists have center mount chin rests.
