Hi folks, happy to share a sneak peek, actually it's more than a peek, an immersive preview of our upcoming Gourmet On The Road Chennai series. It had been a while since we visited the Tamil Nadu capital and so we made it count! From visiting fabled decades-old culinary traditions to conversations with iconic personalities and also looking at how Chennai is attempting to push the boundaries of gastronomy. There’s plenty in this upcoming series, from streetside to fine dining, and everything in between.

Wow Chennai is like a second home to me we have travelled from Punjab to Chennai a lot for some purpose n instantly fell in love with it the moment we landed there first time in 2009 n matsya is my all time favourite place ( Bangluru is my close second fav city for food 😁)

Mathsaya rasavada is definitely the best in Chennai. Erodu Amman Mess, yes one of the best in Chennai to taste Kongu dishes 👌

A very well put together list of some of the better restaurants of Chennai. Just wondering why you were slipping into Kannada in some parts of the video considering that you are in Chennai and not Bangalore.
because the people he spoke to were kannadigas,reji mathew malayali,sangeetha,woodlands,matsya owners from karnataka udupi to be specific,chennai is not all tamil sir,only for politics,whole north chennai belt gujarathi,marwadi,sindhi,anna nagar malayali,telugu allover(30-35%),coastal karnataka significat minority,chef ganesh hat of royal kitchen is tulu,but they all blend in with fabric of tamil nadu

Question - why Bengaluru has no waiter in hotels? 90% are self service why ? In contrast it is the opposite in Tamilnadu. Why ? Nobody gives me an answer. I have 2 answers - Culture + Real estate impact. Also in Bangalore tou only get chutney. Here in Chennai (or anywhere in TN) atleast 4 types of sides you get. This is also due to demand and real estate impact. Any thoughtful suggestions are welcome. For this reason I quit Bangalore

This is a fantastic experience to have covered four to five eateries in Chennai on one table. Though Chennai is a foodie's paradise, Madurai Konar Mess, located in Simmakal Madurai, and Dindigul Thalappakatti Biriyani Home in Dindugul, Dindigul Velu Biriyani are equally or better. In particular, you should eat Konar Mess Madurai "kari Dosai".
Let me tell you something. After watching your videos we have explored most of the eateries and the taste are perfectly matching as per your score. Pls visit Ooty
