G I JOES ARMY SURPLUS ADDRESS IS:
10581 HWY 70 W, CLAYTON NC
Please show my local military surplus some support. And to all military, law enforcement, EMS and First Responders, thank you for your service
Grew up down the road from this store. Always loved stopping or passing by when I was a kid. They'd put cool stuff out front and on the roof.
Clayton sucks
Wow, a surplus store that actually sells more surplus than cheap replicas and casual civvies in camo? Amazing.
Hey! I'm at work there right now and a customer recommended us to this video. Me and my co-worker just watched it. Thanks for the love and support!
I need to restock my claymores and grenades. Lol
I'm interested in accessing 2pairs of Camouflage Jungle Boots
Missed this before but seeing it now. I’m liking for a store like this in my city still.
GO JOE!
Very cool...when was a kid back in the 60’s we had a surplus store in our town, found a lot of cool WWII stuff to go out and play war with! Loved these stores ever since...
I bet it smells awesome too. I always loved the smell of Surplus stores. Unfortunately, they are disappearing from the landscape. Thanks for the video.
What does that mean
Genuine surplus has that certain smell…people often use this to discern between real & replica
Oh I’d love that place!
Yes you would. Great down home country and military staff. Awesome place
Coolest store ever!!! 💚 Love it.
Prepping is also what got me in to trying a MRE.
My kind of store. Not many like that here, near my home town. Good video 👍
Thanks. Yes, I love this place
@@GianaChloe1011 I live in Kingsport but I had to go to Johnson city to go to one
@@GianaChloe1011 you have think, than you have few posts in NC. Bragg, Pope, Camp Lejune ,Cidderpoint , and more.
This place is a goldmine...
you can say that again
Nicely done video tour of your local surplus store! Thank you. 👍🏼
Library voices only in the Surplus Store.
Haha yep lol. Didn't want to disrupt the other customers since I didn't know how they felt about being on camera.
Great looking store. I could spend A lot of time there. Thank you for showing us around friend. Peace, John.
You are so very welcome.
Cool place. I growing up my favorite stores were surplus stores and hobby shops hell they still are. When I travel I hit'em all.
I grew up two blocks off of Yadkin BLVD in Fayetteville, so many good memories of the surplus shops on yadkin . I’ll have to check this place out, it looks awesome .
Good video, this is a great store I used to visit it often when i worked in that area, always came out with something 👍
We drive through Clayton at least once a year, but I never knew that a place like this was there. That place is bigger than the one in Greenville SC,so I will definitely be making a stop by this store.
I miss having a surplus store in my area. This is awesome!!
Smith & Edwards in Farr West, UT used to be like that before they cleaned a lot of the outdoor yard out. It's still a lot like that though. It's like a Cabela's, Wal*Mart, Tractor Supply, Ace Hardware + Military Surplus all rolled into one. If you're out that way, don't miss it !!
Thank you!! You have no idea how many times I’ve driven by from Garner. I need to make a stop.
I loved that place, spent some good time and money in there. I used to live down the road on hwy42 near flowers plantation.
I love this store! I got us navy sailor whites, and camo from here, along with usmc blues.
Yeah I really really like their store but the main thing I go there for is the MREs because I get a really good price on cases because I am a regular and have been for a long time
@@GianaChloe1011 I could like live in that store. Bought petty officer sailor whites, and some navy camo. The marines blues are expensive but it's worth it
We had a GI Joes in South East Virginia when I was growing up as a kid during the 80's.
From England 🇬🇧 Love this sort of stuff..
This is an organized shop! The one by me that i find the old rations at, has stuff tucked away in all corners. Fun treasure hunt though.
Love that store! I could throw a baseball from my house to GI Joes!
Lol. You sure could.
Super little shop 👍
The name alone makes me love it 😀 💕
Just gotta say that your southern belle accent is just soooooo fine...
Love it soooooo much...♡♡♡♡♡
Certainly hard tgo find a good surplus store especially here in Australia.
Nice bag the Rothco. If you are getting anything bigger than that, definately go for a ALICE or framed molle pack. Get over 10kg that air flow really counts. There are other framed mesh backs at Anaconda if you got one nearby too
Oh man, I hope I could go visit this place one day.....This is like a heaven for me...
Couldn’t agree more brotha
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure. Happy to share my favorite military surplus.
I used to spend my Saturday afternoons at Army Navy Surplus when I was a kid in Wpg Mb.
We used to have a great surplus store here where you could get anything military going back to WW1 except rations. I really wish that it would come back I used to spend hours as a kid wandering through and looking at all the cool stuff. And I bought a few things too.
I could spend all day and all my money there easily lol. Love this store and the staff are super cool
Awsome surplus store I live in Bahama and go there as much as possible.
I purchased a lot from Ranger Joe's in Columbus Ga, VD Drive outside of Fort Benning in the earley 80s
We had a chain of GI Joe store here in the Pacific northwest they started in Portland Oregon had one near us in Medford Oregon they went out of business about ten years ago...miss them great store.Shoe
Great looking store.
And the staff are so incredibly helpful and friendly too. Awesome place
You have delivered! This is that surplus! I might stop by there, I spend time in the Carolinas. I had been stationed near there awhile at Camp Lejeune.
Well if you ever get down in this area definitely stop by and tell him country girl from CZcams sent you
Was that on parris island?
I spent time at Lejeune and Geiger in the 60s. Semper fi
@@merle1929 I hope you didn't drink the water
Now beer only. The water problem only went on for 35 years
Awesome ! I love the Greek flag with the phrase μολών λαβέ!
Cool store if i get down that way i definitely check it out ...dont see those as much anymore like you use to.
Please do, they are awesome
Im your 800th sub
Ha, Clayton! I knew I recognized it. I haven't been there in a few years.
Don’t know if you got that bag yet, but to be honest, as a US Army Veteran and tons of field experience because my MOS was as a Forward Observer, I would say that you’re better off looking for a better quality civilian camping backpack with good shoulder and back support. If you’re concerned about covering it up with camouflage you can get camouflage pack covers to put over it. I bought a huge Coleman brand camping backpack, used, at a Salvation Army store really cheap. New it’s worth over $100, but it only cost me $17! And it’s in great shape. I buy a lot of camping gear at second hand stores for my personal use and for my Civil Air Patrol Cadets. I have 4 military rucksacks and tons of other gear that I get at surplus stores, but I actually love that Coleman bag best because it’s designed for long distance carry and is very light on my back even when fully loaded with equipment. The lighter weight of the best civilian equipment is better than the heavier military gear and most of it can be camouflaged if needed. It’s great to support local businesses and especially the surplus stores, but it’s also smart to stretch your buck with great deals on equipment that works. That way you can get more MRE’s. Just my opinion.
nice little shop !!! I bet you can get some good deals on occasion
Yes girl!!!! They work with regular customers. It's a family owned shop. Down home, county, family people.
Great place, been there many times!
This is looks like a really cool store. I personally like the ww2 military uniforms and equipment
Nice store .I was in one while back not to far from Oklahoma City that was really good like that but they were a bit pricey.
I hope you got your backpack 🎒 Rebecca:);) love ya 💗
If I ever go through NC in my life remind me to stop by and check out the store
This is North Carorlina which is cool in all and cool video. In the North (Delaware, Maryland, PA, etc.) we got WWI, WWII, and Veitnam stuff. I would have to say the shops I go to have the best Cold War and German WWI and WWII stuff. Sometimes I wish we had good military surplus stores but all we got is anquite store but they contain great WWI German medel bars and more stuff. Which I happy for but cool store. Also are you ok cause a hurricane hit there recently. Just making sure and have a good one!
That's really cool and I would absolutely love to be able to get my hands on a really old ration like a B unit or something
@@GianaChloe1011 Thank you! I suggest using Ebay if you like really old military stuff or cold war stuff if its not in your area. I mean the South has the best US Civil War stuff currently.
I am just fascinated by militaria! My wife says that it's almost an addiction.
I love it too , my wife has gotten used to it . They come around lol .
Got a GI Joe's Surplus in San Diego that has old stuff from
Pendleton in Oceanside!
Everything for Zombies!
Cool shop. I will stop by if I am there.
Cool. The staff are very nice. It's family owned and operated. They go above and beyond for their customers #ShopLocal
Hum, I need to check this place out ! It's a bit of a drive from Concord, but I'm up to it. Some people on here say this is "JUNK" store, but I think they're missin tha point. Some say ya can get this stuff at a flee market, maybe so, but they're missin tha point. It's stores like this that are vanishing, pretty soon, they'll be gone. This place kinda reminds me of a mom and pops place, how many of those do you still see ? It wouldn't surprise me if most of the stuff in this store isn't made in China, but then again, what isn't ?
I still remember as a kid going into a real Army Navy surplus store in the early 60's and lookin at what they had. They're all gone now.. I like to support small town stores when I can, a lot of times, you can find what others don't have to offer.
With this Covid crap goin on, I ain't sittin around, I'll be on the road somewhere, and Clayton sounds like a nice place to visit...
My point is this, you don't have to buy nuttin, you don't even have to go there, but don't knock a place until you go into business for yourself and make a difference.
I would be like a kid in a candy store. And I'm a GROWN Man🤠👍🚜🐎🇺🇸
We stop by that one from time to time!
I wish there were more army surplus stores around . You would think being near Seymour Johnson AFB there would be one in Goldsboro.
I know right? I remember growing up as a kid I used to see Army Surplus all over the place but nowadays they are far and few between
I remember when Academy was a surplus store before they became a sports and outdoors store.
Love surplus stores, but too many are loaded with civilian "military-type" crap; may look the part but it's Chinese made junk. That $64.95 bag you looked at; had a "Rothco" tag. I've found they make some of the cheapest quality stuff there is. Looks good at first, but falls apart quickly. Use your money for genuine MREs!
Cool store. You need to checkout Old Sarges in Spring Lake NC.
Definitely will
Looks like a great store.
Yes, they are awesome and great customer service
There are a few G.I.JOES in The Hampton roads area of VA.
I clicked on the vid because I thought this was the old Quartermaster building off Guess Road in Durham. I need to go see if they are still open some day and go check this place out next time I'm in Clayton too.
This place is definitely worth the trip in my opinion. Great staff and mre prices
@@GianaChloe1011 I'm gonna have to go check em' out just specifically because I see they carry real military MRE's, I never buy the clear packaged civilian type and that seems to be the only thing most places carry these days. Also, I can't believe you walked right past the polypropylene thermals and didn't mention them, those things are the best cold weather gear ever! Even though summer is nearly here I just bought two more tops and two more bottoms from the flea market for less than a buck each. Next time you're in the store you outta check em' out, they say ECWCS on the package and it stands for Extended Cold Weather Clothing System. I talk about them very briefly in my new Surplus Flea Market Score video and show off some other cool finds too.
I wish more people would do this so i can order more stuff online from these stores. I live outta state, way outta state.
Love the vid🌺🐏😘
Le paradis...pour les barges de frippe militaire ..un carton plein
Nice presentation, you walked right by the load out kits though :/
that is the place where me and my freinds go
I love that place
I love the army store 🏬 😍😍😍😍 wish they had MRES I love there food wish they had more items lol 😂
Sweet store
Nobody has bugged out yet! Even during the pandemic!
Best sleeping bags you can buy,sis check the dates on those MRE’s !!!
I live in Smithfield and know that shop well
You are definitely a woman with class that is a nice store these we do not have in Connecticut because we live in under a dictatorship God I would love to see one up here he make $1000000
Are they still open i used to go to GI Joes when I lived in Oregon really like that place are they still around I wish we had one in Sacramento California Merry Christmas to all happy New Year God bless
No they folded about ten years ago...great store miss them..had one in Medford Oregon...they had several stores in the Pacific northwest.
I wish that these military surplus stores had more bulletproof vest and bulletproof army helmets, it would be useful for people that want to use the gear for hunting in areas where there are animals like bears, cougars, panthers, wolves, etc. In Florida we have things like bears, florida panthers, coyote's, and wild hogs.
Super
Country girl meals ready to eat. Nice.
Do you know if they have an online store? Would definitely purchase from them to support them.
I've been going there since I was a teenager and I'm 57 now . Back in the old days they carried a lot more stuff
Sad that we don't have Army-Navy stores anymore up in the Northlands.
Looks like you need to take that drive to Fayetteville (not something I would recommend for literally any other reason) and hit general jacksons. Or come on up to Alexandria VA and check out full metal jacket once this Corona fuckery is finally figured out
Love my kershaw rainbow leek onion...
And this is the reason why I support the US DoD high budget of defense
So am I hearing correct that these items belong to veterans? And if so are customers required to file up the phone?
Just went there today.
Awesome job on the video loved it also I like what you did with your channel you have my subscription would love to have your support as well keep up the good work
