Oprah maybe qualified to talk about how hard life can be. She went through hard times herself before making her millions. But the other two, especially him born with a silver spoon...hmmm. I suppose worrying about paying that $5000 dress is tough.
What bothered me most about this interview was Harry's publically airing his family grievances. He only has one sibling and they have been through so much together. Family feuds are better kept private.

What makes me sick is the possibility he knew his grandfather Philip was dying of cancer (the Royal Family wouldn't have made details of Philip's health public) and implied awful things about him as part of the Firm in the interview.
He is a prince, there are two siblings who could inherit the throne. It goes with everything we know about monarchies. Siblings fighting to the death for the throne. @Princess Creations Indeed, She is older than Harry, and she knows her power over him as she is looked up to by Harry as a mother figure and for maternal support. She always holds his hands, clings to him and pats his back. So she knew that he would do whatever she says. The immaturity of these two -- they are like young teenagers. She is 40 this year, and he is getting there in 4-5 years after her! Not exactly spring chickens.

I believe Markle used Harrys pain from losing his mother as a way to manipulate him. He changed from a happy prince involved deeply in his charities close to his mother. He became moody and morose.

Exactly, people say this about all babies. I am black and my husband is also black but darker than me. We wondered who our babies would take after. The fact Harry is not naming names or going into details suggest to me that he full well knows it's not a big deal but Meghan wanted to make it a big deal so he did. You will notice that he was quick to discount the Queen and Prince Philip the day after the interview aired.
right, it's in the exact same vein as discussing what eye color you think a baby will have or which features from which parent. if someone had said "oh dear I hope the baby doesn't look black!!!" obviously that would be racist and gross but that's not even what happened. I used to not understand all the flack Harry and Meghan got but I totally get it now, it really seems like they leave out very important context or are just flat out intentionally misleading a lot of the time, especially when recounting experiences with the royals.

Every single Royal in the limelight has been attacked by the tabloids and such. Royals have always been and always will be. It killed his mom, yes....but far worse has happened.
Which brings me to my analysis....Harry was bitter from what happened to his mother. He stood up for his wife and it was commendable, it was almost a reminder for the UK.
Harry's life has been crazy throughout. He wore a NAZI uniform for Halloween once. Drugs, party, and women. He continued to do many things apart from his family for a long time. He is an independent man with some cracks.
I'm sure...that they do love eachother. I think he likes being the literal prince in shining armor. I think he feels a sense of purpose and pride in comforting her like he couldn't do for his mom.
Then she played into that victim mentality like a fiddle. She knew about the UK. Harry had two years to fill her in on crap. There is also Google and a shit ton of other resources. I would be mortified to not learn every bit of history and culture knowing I am about to wed into the most powerful family on the planet at this time. Being Royal means sacrifice to your kingdom at all costs. Some people aren't into that kind of thing and life. Goodwill towards Harry's family would have been to talk about their differences behind closed doors, as discrete adults without an agenda would do. The fact that accusations about racism were thrown out to the entire world with neither detail, perpetrator or, most crucially, context, has meant the entire RF and their employees have been tarred with that brush, indiscriminately, unfairly and pretty blatantly. They have all been made to feel guilty. This was no accident. Meghan knew full well what she was doing. They didn't comply with all her demands; it's narcissist's revenge.
The press was horribly racist and the response from the "institution" was slow and weak.

I did not take Meghan’s refusal to provide details as indicative of being generous to an institution which she clearly attempted to undermine. If someone really made inappropriate remarks about the potential darkness of skin color why, not provide specifics? It is far more common for people to project imaginary fears onto others about that issue. I am confident that was a non-issue except in the minds of those expressing paranoia about the issue. If she really thought she was correct she should have provided details. She knew she was wrong.

Firstly, a number of things that Megan stated were lies i.e. her son not getting a title , which he wouldn’t have, as only the heirr to the throne’ first son’s children is allowed to have the title of Prince or Princess . She lied about getting married three days before the $33 million wedding . That was a wedding rehearsal and exchange of vowels. She also lied about having no training Sarah Cohen worked for 13 years at the palace and was with her for six months as her personal assistant and to introduce her the workings and requirements of being a working royal. Harry is the patron of “Heads Together” mental health charity. He has also been in therapy and rehab. Also his father ,Prince Charles has been in therapy. So she is lying about not having access to mental health help. Megan chose her own doctors and medical healthcare, throughout her pregnancy . She would’ve had the best, of the best and yet she was feeling suicidal whilst pregnant and couldn’t tell any of her handpicked personal medical team? Also the British taxpayer foot the bill of security for Senior working members of the royal family. It’s not the royal family, but it’s the metropolitan police that decides security. As the British tax paying public fund security, it is not unreasonable that when Harry and Megan stopped being working Royals, that their security stopped too. Why would the British taxpayer pay for their security? Megan Markle loved her new found status, the million pound wardrobe ,the unbelievable public platform that she was given. However she did not want to do this without exploiting her new found fame. (Something she never really achieved as a TV actress) Poor Harry is being painfully gaslighted by Megan ....
You didn't bring up that Prince Philip was sick, and the queen was attended to her husband when they did this interview. Shortly after the interview Prince Philip passed away. A lot of people thought it was cruel.

Right. Several members of the family are not part of the establishment and have managed to maintain close relationships without being caught up in the matrix. Zara comes to mind. I see a lot of reactionary behavior from both Harry and Meghan and while I can’t imagine how stifling “the firm” was for them, I don’t think their approach will benefit them in the long run.
He wasn't a working royal at that time, meaning taxpayers were not funding their lifestyle.

Yes- I just watched this analysis for the first time in August, 2022. Even most of the comments posted back at the time of this analysis were spot on, exposing the Markles for the narcissistic whiners that they are. Little did they know back then that this Oprah interview would be the beginning of the end for them. Only narcissists would spill all to Oprah while a 99 year old Prince Phillip was dying. Nor did Oprah know back then that giving them this platform would tarnish her reputation and embarrass her for doing such a soft interview for which she clearly did no research. Karma is catching up to the arrogant elite of Montecito.

I don't believe she didn't know what she was getting into. It is obvious by her actions she only interested in being the center of attention and only inviting celebraties to her wedding. Finding convienant fault with father by shunning him even after she had her son and not allowing him into her life or see his grandchild tells me is cold calculating person. If she want peace and quiet why go on Oprah for whole world to know you exist.
To set the stage future public appearances. I think Harry will regret he left not because of royal life but the bond he broke with brother and father. Queen Elizabeth was was very welcoming and supportive to Meghan and she in turn put the monarchy down. That is a slap in face to the Queen. Megan is fraudulent , a social climber and an average actress who didn't have great future. She would not have married Harry if were not a prince.
Before Meghan was in the picture, Harry, William and Kate formed a foundation called Heads Together, focused on mental health awareness. So, I’m having a hard time thinking that Harry didn’t know how to get them the help they needed despite the Institution. 🤔

If I was dating a guy for 18 months who is a prince and planning to tie the knot with me, there is no way that I wouldn't be asking them A LOT lof questions about what it's really like to be in that institution and what my future would look like. In fact I would go so far as to say that it would be impossible to develop true intimacy without getting a more than basic understanding of what that kind of life is really like. It's totally unrealistic that an intelligent, independent and assertive woman like Meghan would just drift along into this marriage, out of love alone, without asking some serious deep questions about the reality of what she is getting into.
I fully agree. They spent one month together in Botswana in Africa, I am sure that they talked about the RF and her future as a future wife of a Royal Prince. She mentioned that they got married in Botswana before the Royal Wedding in UK. I would say that Meghan was well liked by the media and the British population initially, however once she married Harry and reports started leaking about her unreasonable behaviour, mood changed towards her. Also, Kate Middleton had a hard time with the press too. They followed them on holiday and published photos of her topless, without her permission. They constantly attacked her weight too. She has put in the time and effort to win favour of the british public. It is not just handed out, but earned. It is not a race thing.

Also it is a modern trend for royal families to reduce the number of individuals who can claim a royal allowance. She might not have considered you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. I think it is sour grapes as the firm as she puts it does not really have time for new age feelings, this does not seem to affect Kate's happiness in her royal role and family life. The mere fact that she claims to have become suicidal, in my view, is yet another way to grab the spotlight. It is insulting to women who have literally nothing working for them or in their favor but they soldier on anyway, trying to make ends meet financially, care for a family, ill children or relatives, possibly even in the face of criticism from family and others. Do you hear these women who genuinely are in the throes of poverty and despair announce that they are suicidal? Do you see them run to human resource departments asking for special help? No. Why? Because they are too BUSY working to deal with the hand dealt them and get out of the rut. Meghan Markle complains to "human resources" within the "institution." Puleeeeeeez. Give me a break. And SO WHAT if a family member wondered about the future complexion of the unborn child!! Who cares? Why does Markle turn it into a racist remark? I think she was talking about all the strange antiquated rituals, like bowing to your mother/grandmother cos she's the Queen and all kinds of protocol about leaving the house without permission and strange stuff like that - I guess she just thought that type of Royal Life was an exaggeration when she was briefed about it. Diana also had problems acclimatizing to the etiquette and protocols of palace life. You have to admit it's a very weird set up for a family.
She had a copy of Dianas tell all book as a teen, did she not read it? There are photos of her in front of Buckingham Palace as a teen with a friend and friends have said she had an obssession as a teen with William and the Royal family....so she knew what she was getting into. I am sure Harry informed her aboutmthe family, protocals etc before they married.

A while back, someone did an interview with Megan’s father. He had video’s of Megan when she was a little girl. Her father asked Megan in the video what she wanted to be when she grew up? Megan replied to her father ( with her big paper crown on her head, that she just colored and pasted ) A Princess!!!!!!!!

As someone born and educated in the UK and now nearly 70 (living in Ireland) it is strange to hear American takes on the British monarchy. In any high profile 'job' that carries a lot of weight, an employee suppresses emotion when actively in that role. Imagine, for example, an archaeologist who freaked and was spooked every time he/she unearthed a skull? Imagine a doctor crying with you when they deliver you a tough diagnosis. This may be why 'outsiders' (non Brits) believe the royals are robotic . They cry in private. When the queen attended the funeral of her own mother, her only sister had also recently died. We 'hear' that she had difficulty attending, such was her grief, but she is a public servant and duty demanded that she attend a public funeral. The royals are paid from the public purse for the jobs they do. On the subject of Harry being trapped and unhappy with his life, check out online photographs of hig huge grins and joy when among mates from his regiment. As a top class soldier, he served gladly and well. The problem Brits have, is that every military person swears an oath to serve and defend queen and country. We watched him break this oath on global television. On the subject of my age, and a very small 'lie' to most, was his joy that Archie can sit behind him on a bicycle, a thing he 'could never do.' Um, Harry, we witnessed you doing exactly that. Photos are on line. WHY would you say that? Very odd

They have no sense of duty to anyone but themselves. It's very sad, and if we don't change our ways it will be the end of the USA. We need to come back to God. I appreciated your comments. As a Canadian raised in the 60’s, most of our teachers were British. Our education reflected that, & reinforced the concept of “a stiff upper lip”, keep calm, & carry on so forth. Being Brits at that time in history meant they’d seen world war 2 up close, so their message to us was one we respected. They were teaching us how to get through tougher times, coping not just surviving them.
I’m of Italian heritage, not British, but in the 40 odd years since school I’ve depended on that inner strength they worked hard to in-still in us. Dr. Grande is amazing, but I think there’s a disconnect

Agreed. If you come from a toxic family it is very easy to fall into another. Even if you have already gotten out of one. Those patterns get set up earlier in our minds. What is most familiar and attractive is often the very thing we need to stay away from. Hopefully they are both getting counseling now.
While simultaneously being one of the most difficult things in those moments and as they try to pull you back in anyway they can. Then having to spend years to learn better habits, to trust yourself, and know what healthy relationships look like.

Like she said they wouldn't give her help when she felt suicidal, Harry actually says that he never told his family about her troubles. Dr. Grande needs to address this for a proper analysis.
