If you make your tension looser then I think It would snag less and make it easier to work with because that happen with some chenille yarns

Hi from South Africa! I crochet a pair of slippers with the same yarn and it was super difficult. It also kept on breaking. It was my 3rd project ever so I struggled a lot.😂
