Hi! Yes! I am a Mass Communication major in USF's Zimmerman School of Advertising and Mass Communication. There are two "concentrations" under my major, and I am on the Broadcast Program & Production track! Yes, you could absolutely come here!! USF has a large international student population, and I have classmates in my major classes that are from outside of the US. Definitely apply!! This is SUCH an amazing program!
I loved USC for a lot of reasons, but I'm so happy I left and came to USF! USC just wasn't a good option for me - I didn't love LA, classes kicked my butt, and I would've been in a crazy amount of debt after my 4 years of undergrad. I'm sure SC is a great option for many people, but I feel that I am personally thriving here at USF and that the mass comm program here is the perfect fit for me!!! Another thing that probably contributed to my struggles at USC is the fact that I was a business major...that definitely wasn't for me. I'm sure I would've wanted to stay there more if I were in Annenberg, lol!!!
Yeah, I graduated from USC with a great deal of debt. But I had the time of my life and met my best friend there. Events happened that I will never get anywhere else. It was an experience I will always remember. The people graduating there today (since 2020)have a much better deal though… Anyone whose family makes under $80,000 get their tuition paid in full! I wish that was in place when I was going to SC! Still, it was something I could never replicate anywhere else. Wish you the best in Florida…
