The early months of 2000 in my opinion was the pinnacle of Shaquille O'Neal as an individual player. His footwork and agility were incredible at that time and his power was impossible to guard.
Best skilled group of all time. Prime Jordan with this group.. Oh my. And what team could ever beat Kobe Garnett Shaq Tim and Kidd/Nash? In a real match. Lol
The game has evolved. Toughness is gone and so that means wrestling and fighting for position isnt very appealing to younger people. It's all about the crossovers and dunks and three point shooting.
The NBA West all stars was too big and strong for the East all stars. Really power fowards, Duncan and Garnett both each had 24 points, should have really been NBA 2000 co-all star MVP's, instead of O'Neal and Duncan !. Shaq share all-star MVP with Duncan because the Lakers had the best record in the NBA and Western Conference he was playing MVP performance for the regular 1999-2000 season, which he was and was going to win a NBA championship later on that year with NBA 2000 finals MVP !. If the East all stars would have won, leading scorer for all-stars Iverson 26 points, would have been MVP of the game !. Iverson should have been playing in the NBA 1997 and 1998 all-star games too !.
Of course I know that, but things were different in 2000, the loss to the Bulls still stung at that point. I mean, Michael Jordan and Bryon Russell ended up becoming teammates too, but you don't think that was extremely awkward for Russell?
Yeah, Bryon Russell joined the Wizards on September 10th, 2002 and played with Jordan the entire season. They weren't on the floor at the same time often, but I would've loved to be a fly on the wall for some of those practices...
I think this all star game represented the era of basketball I watched mostly.
Facts!
"He got one of those rings. So I'm taking this!"
Hilarious! I looked up the video just so I can reliv e that epic trophy presentation again. LOL!

Jkidd was a thing of beauty on the open court
Nostalgia, one of the best All Star games and now all of them are retired except Vince
hands down best overall All star weekend ever!!! Oakland!!!
It's fitting that Duncan and Shaq were co-MVPs in the 2000 All-star game, as they would go on to be the two best players of the decade.
You are a lying piece of disingenuous shit. Shaq was great for 4yrs. Duncan with plenty of help couldn't win back to back.
ArcadianGenesis LMAO. What a joke, Kobe was the best player of the 00s
@@iamLODD That's the casual mainstream take, and it's wrong.
Kobe was the best player of the 00’s
1. Duncan
2. Shaq
3. Bryant
4. Garnett
5. Lebron
6. Dirk
7. McGrady
8. Nash
9. Iverson
10. Wade
So much star power !
NBA 2000's my second favourite period : Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Gino, Parker, Wade, Garnett, Pierce, Allen, Gasol...
Best skilled group of all time. Prime Jordan with this group.. Oh my. And what team could ever beat Kobe Garnett Shaq Tim and Kidd/Nash? In a real match. Lol
One of my fav all star games!!
Ya Man 2000s is the best than 2012 to 2015
Much Gratitude
pure legends in there
This was a great game and I'm glad two big men got co- mvp.
Ai and vc on the same team together ooweeeeeee
So many quality bigs, what happened?

RIP Kobe 💔
Esto si era competencia y no payasos haciendo tonterías. Que buenos tiempos, cuanta calidad, la gente iba a ver justamente eso.
The best of all Time
Unforgettable
#TimDuncan is ageless
Always love to watch AI in the all star game. He drops so many dimes!
The west PF’s: Duncan, Garnett, Webber, Wallace and Malone. 🤯
The best years of NBA for me, from 1996 to 2009.
Since 2009 NBA started to suck
Yup when Bron ruined it by trying to manipulate the league and get guaranteed rings.
🔥🔥

for what shaq is? does he even able to score beyond some meters far away from rim, without dunks
I don't know why they didn't get Carter for Iverson at the time?
they fronted by putting td and shaq as co mvps and not include kg
DUNCAN, KOBE, SHAQ vs AI, CARTER😅😂
my est allstar
I always imagined it must have been awkward for John Stockton and Karl Malone to be coached by Phil Jackson in this game
TRJ2241987 Lol you know Karl Malone played for Phil Jackson in 2004 right? he was on that Lakers team that lost to Detroit

Elton Brand >> Dale Davis, Marbury > Houston in 2000
