  • Hey guys! On today's video, our friend and bike specialist Victor is showing us how to install a chain on a Yamaha R1! Thanks to my buddy Luigi for letting us use his bike to do the video! The video itself is pretty long, so don't hesitate to skip through stuff to get to what you need! **Also this chain came with a clip master link setup, we suggest getting a rivet master link setup**
    Tools you might need!
    32mm Socket with Breaker Bar
    8mm Socket
    5mm Socket

Cool video, I'm replacing my new FZ07 chain because it's pretty crusty looking, I picked up a D.I.D. VX3 X-Ring chain for $15 on Amazon and I'm like I wonder if the D.I.D. VX3 X-Ring chains are strong enough for my FZ07? Finds this video of you all installing a D.I.D. VX3 X-Ring chain on a R1 liter bike lol question answered and I think I'm good!

Hey! Yeah so the chain itself came with a clip type master link, which as my mechanic states is "ok" but the preferred style would be a Rivet Master Link! A couple days later we switched them out, for the link type, so in your case I would suggest looking for that type, but I don't think it's necessary. 😊 hopefully this helps!
