Nate’s pronunciation of unfamiliar words kills me. It’s like he tries the first three letters and then freestyles the rest. If he doesn’t recognize the word after the first syllable, you will not be able to recognize it either after he gets done with it.
Good thing for Nate, Breadcrumbs and Aaron are always there to somehow interpret the mess and get him back on track. Love the show, I look forward to it every week. You guys are the best in the podcast game.

When that one comment said "He wasn't funny then either", I feel like that was an HR demonstration of what it looks like when the line is crossed. I get it that we all kind of make fun of baseball, but it's supposed to be fun. Keep your chin up breakfast, you are definitely funny, funnier than that guy at least. Also, I loved the episodes of It Could Be Better when Nick was a guest, it's been awesome to hear him on this podcast as well. Nate, my wife hates stand up comedy. I've showed her tonnes and without fail she hates it. I finally showed her your special, using your clean comedy as a selling point. It was a hail Mary....and she loved it. Its the only special I've ever seen her laugh at. She even asked to hear more and she loved your recent Late Night Set. So thank you for finally giving us some stand up to watch together.

    1) I’m a musician and wrote a song a couple of weeks ago. I was recording it tonight and as I was singing I realized I had used the word “dwell” in one of my lines and I almost blew the take because all I could think of was “Hey I’m using one of only 3 English words that start with DW”!

The balloon boy story is actually pretty sad, infuriating. The father got pressured into pleading guilty because the Fort Collins PD was falsifying evidence, trying to punish him for making fools of them. Taking him at his word, balloon boys dad didn't know his son was in the balloon when he called the police. The kid was screwing around with the balloon, even though he knew he shouldn't have been, triggered the auto-inflate button, knew the balloon was gonna take off and ruin what his Dad was trying to do with it, panicked and hid in the attic because he didn't know what else to do. The statute of limitations on his case just ended so balloon boys dad release a long video about everything that went down.
I couldn't find the original video that Richard Heene did (balloon boy dad) but this guy did a really good breakdown on it: czcams.com/video/Axgyj7g5XZY/video.html

You guys briefly talk about giving fake names at restaurants, and I have to say I am a victim of that kind of behaviour. One of my best friends is named Cole, and my name is Blake. Whenever we are hanging out, getting a coffee or ordering at a restaurant my friend Cole says his name is Blake. He says whenever he tries to say his own name they don’t hear him or they get it wrong. However, I’m pretty sure Blake is way harder to understand because I’ve lived with the name and let me tell you there hasn’t been one time when I don’t have to repeat myself. So if he is ordering in first and says his name is Blake(which I’ve learned he does it whether I’m there or not) they somehow just accept it on the first try. And thenI have to walk up like a moron and tell the same person that my name is also Blake. That’s usually when they look at me like I’ve just tried to pull the dumbest prank ever and say “is that your real name?” At which point I just have to say no my name is Cole because that’s a lot easier than explaining the truth. Love all what you guys do, hopefully you can make it up to Vancouver at some point!

Here’s a few fun facts for Nick about the city of Nashville. The movie Clash of the Titans was actually filmed in Titans stadium. On game day, just before kickoff the Arkansas River flows backwards for nine minutes in honor of the late quarterback Steve McQueen. Legend has it, that if you’re walking down Bourbon Street in front of the Opryland Hotel at midnight on February 31st, if you listen close you can hear the ghost of Reba McIntyre singing her hit song Free Bird softly in the distance.
Another hilarious episode guys, thanks for the laughs.

Thank You Brian!!! Finally someone on the show said what everyone listening already knew...Aaron really isn’t that smart. Brian actually said “Aaron isn’t a genius. He’s just smarter than us”. Even that gives Aaron too much credit. Once an episode he knows something Nate, and Brian do not. Every episode Aaron shows how little he knows by displaying his difficulty in grasping simple topics. I love everyone on the show and what you’re all doing. I hope Nick just moves in and stays on the show. Brisket and Breakfast are my favorites so far. I’m going to keep workshopping this question until it makes the cut: Since Nate is working out now, has he been bringing home chocolate milk and has it been a point of contention (added that word for Nate to struggle with).

When talking about how good fake twitter accounts have gotten, Nate chooses to focus on them using the same picture as you - as if that is the most impressive thing they do, or even remotely difficult. Well done, thanks for the laughs.

Due to multiple jobs and other commitments, my wife and I rarely get to spend our birthdays, anniversary or Valentine's Day together too. Our trick is we pick the closest date to the milestone that we're both free and celebrate on that date instead. We've found that, as a result, we battle much lighter crowds. It's like God's little milestone gift to us. Happy anniversary, guys. (You too Nick.)

Lmao. Such a good call when Nate pointed out that, the article about Man'Ti Teo getting catfished was definitely written by someone who watches ZERO sports. Calling the Heisman Trophy Ceremony an "Espn Award Show" is borderline insulting to a sports fan.
Hopefully that writer is never assigned to write about Mike Tyson. They will end up describing Tyson losing a "boxing game" to Buster Douglas.

They have talked about the Japanese soldier before, right? There are multiple things I want to fact check about that episode, but it's probably best just to assume the "facts" from this show are like the "second-hand news" guy on SNL.
As a Social Studies teacher, I would show my students a video about how the marshmallow farmers were having a rough year due to "mallow mold." The hope of the exercise was for students realize they need to double check things before they believe them or put them in a paper. Most of them were able to figure out that marshmallows didn't grow on trees, but there were sometimes a few needed follow-up conversations.
    I'll go proofread this.

I love that at this point everyone’s so used to Nate mispronouncing things that everyone completely glossed over Nate calling the Civil War the “silver war” and I noticed it right before I went the Belleville show where Nate pronounced the civil war as “silverware” so I wonder if Brinkley needs to take over saying war names...loved seeing y’all at Belleville thanks for bringing live comedy in this weird times

Why does Nate think he has to yell in the mic for the first 30 seconds of every show? I usually listen at night falling asleep, only to be abruptly awakened by "HELLO FOLKS" about every 90 minutes when youtube starts the next video

Hey guys, love the pod. Nate, I have a comment on you saying you need your eyes to sell a joke. While I agree with you for the majority of cases, my favorite comedian of all time (no offense y'all) was Mitch Hedberg who - as you probably know - famously not only wore aviators on stage, but also regularly looked at his feet. Mitch said it was due to his anxiety. But, it definitely didn't hinder his joke telling. Just wondering how you feel about that, if any of you have thoughts on this. Thanks and keep it up!

Unbelievable that you guys didn't quote the Chris Farley Show skit from SNL with Paul McCartney.
"You remember when you were with the Beatles, and you were supposed to be dead, and, uh, there was all these clues, that, like, uh, you'd play some song backwards, and it'd say, like, 'Paul Is Dead,' and, uh, everyone thought that you were dead?" McCartney nodded in recognition, before Farley asked, "That was, um, a hoax, right?"
"Yeah, I wasn't really dead," Paul deadpanned.
Major credit for acknowledging that Burr crushed it on SNL.
Keep the laughs coming. Wondering which word in this comment is going to trip up Nate.

Nate, Aaron and Breadbox. Nate mentioned earlier he bought himself a nice watch. I've always been fascinated by comedians and the watches they wear. Seinfeld has always been a huge Breitling watch fan. Just wondering what kind of watch Nate wears in Tennessee Kid. Thanks, love the podcast!

I had a strange obsession with Alcatraz as a kid. When I was about 8-10 I saw Escape from Alcatraz on TV one night. After that when ever I saw a documentary on A&E or History Channel about Alcatraz I would watch it. My mom was never concerned about it until one of them had an interview with a guy who was really emotional about the robberies he committed that landed him in Alcatraz. While I'm sure Harper is a little shook up it's good to learn the world isn't always safe at a young age. By the way has she given Nic received a fun nickname yet?

If brillo pad really flew once a year for his whole life then I would guess he's flown approximately 50 times. However, based on Nate's comment that he's probably flown 5 times, I have to assume he is only 5 years old. Unbelievable. He does kind of remind me of Frosty the Snowman though, (in a good way) and that guy is only a few days old so what do I know.
