Skill vs payed is indeed becoming an issue, especially in lower sp,but watch scape 211,his f2p stuff...yes he's facing p2w opponents,and wins...

Awesome job Ruffles; hands down the most comprehensive review thus far on these mods!! I was way off on assuming the mods were just for each team slot we had! But man, non transferable kinda sucks!!!

You can’t say this is stolen from war robots if it’s a feature that’s on every mech game. MA is behind on it. But I think it’s unfair to say they stole this. Criticize mech arena for other things not that they added something that should have been there from launch.

Les goo lancer gets oneshot protection
For those who didn't notice, 12k top hangars are becoming 22k power hangars. So mods are going to increase diff between p2w/whales and f2p/noobs and u can forget one-shot kills with em rifle/railguns/storms. And mods are unique to mechs vs implants that could be placed on different ones. 😮🤕😖😭
Bro the bots are gonna be literally so kitted, unkillable for f2p
They need to improve the game where it's drastically needed instead of adding garbage skins and stuff like mods, how about focusing on maps, equal team bot play, anti cheating and banning because the cheaters are out of hand.

the difference between MA and WR is that WR does things strictly for the $. MA has good ideas, and adds things that the game and the players generally want, they just have a habit of being super lazy with it after launch and not providing enough resources for f2p

Yo RuFFles, great video I was confused about Modules when they first released it but now with this video, it helped me understand Mods way better. I still have 1 question tho, which mods do you recommend if they are expensively acoin based and individual prices?

id prob go for Hardened Hull mostly, bc its a straight-up HP increase without the nuance or downsides the others have
Mods feel like a cash-grab, i think how bad it will be will depend on how you obtain them.
If you need to buy them with Acoins, that would be insane, F2P-players already get few Acoins and alot needs to be already bought with Acoins.
If it will something like a random implant-crate-like thing where you get Mods for mechs you don't even own, that would not be fun.
If they can be bought for Credits, would be better than Acoins.
I do think the gap between Legendary and Epic Mods is a bit too big.
Also bots are gonna instantly use full Mod-loadouts on day 1 when it releases, wouldn't be suprised if some would use 4 Legendary Mods.
Why do Surge, Eclipse and Nomad get more buffs than the tanks, they should also be put in the lowest version because those 3 mechs dominate the arena right now.
yea the feature itself isnt bad, its the accessibility thats the issue

I shot my Onyx (70k dmg hit the back) and my M-rack 12 and 8 at this cheeta bot with mods.. he didnt die

tbf i said in my prediction video that it prob wouldnt be a pro/con thing, this game rarely deals with those.
Speed Modules and others will probably come in the future tho

I honestly don't think so this mod update was at all required the game is already unplayable and now this it just makes them more money honestly what the hell these aren't the mods I was expecting or had in my mind.
My opinion or view point of it may change in the future but for now wow
the mods are good in concept imo. the aspects of the game that makes it unplayable are mostly related to one-shot meta:
1. slow devices (as well as just mobile in general) having a severe affect on performance
2. weapons being obsolete unless theyre able to one-shot things (creates p2w)
3. mechs being obsolete unless they can somehow manage the one-shot meta (again creating p2w)
Mods would help lessen those issues... IF they were accessible for f2p. that "if" is the issue tho, i dont think theyll make it f2p-friendly either

So, i have a question.
Suppose i deal double damage with my railgun in a face to face combat, on a mech which has the galvanic hull, will the double damage go straight to the mech hp or will half of it get absorbed by the Galvanic hull?
half goes to the mech, half is absorbed by galvanic

Bastion was already a top 7 mech tbh. id guess Storm will still be meta bc the reload and dmg is really good even without the AOE

Honestly, I'm jusy looking forward to using bastion with the ML perimeter module. I can't remember exactly but thats like 12 layers of at least 100k hp. Sound kinda broken to me to be honest. I also really like the canopy, I won't immediately die to javelins or helix's now 🙃

It's not that stupid, otherwise we would only need 5 of each, which would pretty much ruin months of AI and programming work for something short lived. It would be like the implant free removal that made them no money. It's basically an enchant for a mech, don't be stupid and give it to a bad mech. You could argue it's stupid because players will stop playing due to the expense, but they don't care for those players, they only care for the 5% whalers who will buy anything to stay on top. Crikey if a whole competitive scene were willing to invest in storms, then they'll be willing to invest in this.

But whats the difference in total effective HP between tanks and scouts now?
Seeing Nomad with 350k+ is terrfifying for one reason: with its 60% damage resistance, the number, if my math is correct, is actually 2.5x whats shown on screen! Thats crazy.
Also, the difference between Tanks' and Scouts' HP should be massive imo. Tanks should never have to worry about being out performed in terms of HP by anything.
The difference these will make is too big. Plarium didn’t learn from their mistakes. It’s pilots 2.0

not being able to use same mod for a different mech is such a bad idea. AND WHY TF DO WE HAVE SEPARATE CURRENCY FOR THAT? Now I have to grind for those blue and pink ticket looking currency too? Credits would do well too. How many currencies should I grind for? Credits, A-coins,implant parts,pilot marks, and now these 2 new ones.
also, dont the mods defeat the sole purpose of tanks? Tanks are special because they have a shield. Now if everyone has a shield which is based on their hp, wouldn't surge be better than what it already is?
dif currency keeps players from needing to spend hard-earned acoins. itll start off slow but new currency is probably better than the alternative. unfortunately tho, this currency seems more rare than Fortune Keys 🙄

And official said this will nerf eclipse and other meta mecha and weapons but end up giving them most of the benefit by giving them the most health advantage to support more to the pay to win players 😡
most % health benefit, not more HP tho. Eclipse with 57% bonus grants 97k more HP, while Bastion with 43% grants 122k more, just bc Bastion has a lot more base HP
@@RuFFlesGaming not more hp but providing this much tank ability to scouts and specifically to those scouts which are already game breaking is a huge imbalance and benifit for whale players in my openion

Broooooo the ai matchmaking is already broken (cannot for the life of me get myself lower HP enemy mechs with maxed weapons.) my hangar is only 3604 at peak capacity, already getting one shot by everything. Now my weapons will do even LESS.
Also why you get to play with them and we don't yet smh these arena games are a pisstake

Even if its F2P friendly, its still kinda overwhelming for me. Im playing like 5 months already and still didn't learn everything about certain mechs and weapons, these mods are so confusing and require calculations and thinking about how to use them. Its becoming too complicated to catch up with everything, the devs are releasing things so fast lately and I dont think the game is going in good direction at all.
Please tell if I should unlock carbine 8 or chain gun 8 these will go on panthr
