Hey, big thanks for uploading this. Umemoto + Takami + Kanno Hiroyuki (their director + writer for a lot of their big works) have been my obsession for the past two years. To the point where I've been teaching myself the playing styles of Umemoto + Takami. I finally have my first track figured out, tone-wise. Think of it as a memory recollection theme, so something like "Do U [Omoi De]" here, or the amazing "Reminiscence" in YU-NO, or "Past" in XENON. I haven't uploaded it yet, but it'll be available soon. Umemoto died too young to be forgotten now, more people should hear of his works. I firmly believe he would've been a hit if he was more popular in the U.S...
I need to do a better upload. This one, and a lot of the other PC-98 uploads I've done, have some critical flaws inside them. I need to go and fix that.
This is one of my favorite FM soundtracks! I've always been a fan of the OPN oscilloscope made by オップナー2608, (which was actually my introduction to Channel 3's special mode), but I've always wanted to see the OPNA version. Thanks for making this!
This was one of the first opna soundtracks I heard, and it's so good. Seems to be so ahead technologically too; the vocal samples and things like snapping I haven't heard elsewhere. Is that all due to the third channel?
I love the sounds of umemoto so much, it's interesting to see it like that, would like to see how to try to reproduce such sounds (like the fading sound, not sure how to explain it)
The top left oscillator looks so weird, does such weird movements (it's supposed to be a point tracing a line from right to left right? not a line bouncing back and forth lol), like on the Shop Demo track
It appears some of these are missing the 6th FM channel, including [Legendary Ruins]. I have the original .M2 files and they have the 6th channel, so I’ll have to see if the VGM files on vgmrips are missing them as well.
@@flygonbreloom Yep, the VGM rip is incomplete. OPNA2608 has a link to the whole soundtrack here: ( github.com/droidmjt/Droidsound/issues/527#issuecomment-561517280 ) The PMD files for them are found in RST4, in the format GS_##.M2. [Legendary Ruins] is #34.
@@zexxerd Yikes. I'll have to get around to properly splitting the PMD files. This will help resolve the issues with Channel 3 too. Thank you. It'll be nice to have this in 8K60 too. A shame CZcams can't do 120fps yet.
