I've played Pavlov since 2018, and thats back when the VR community wasn't that big. The amount of players online the past couple of days have been the same amount as back then, its kinda sad to see tbh. Back then I was excited becuase Pavlov was growing by the day. But honestly, I wish they would've just focused on PCVR and not Quest.. Thats what ruined Onward. I wonder where Pavlov would be today if they would've just focused their resources on PCVR Pavlov updates.
@Matthew Jimenez That's incorrect and you missed the point. The reason Meta bought Downpour Interactive, was so that they could bring Onward onto their platform. Sure they got a lot more resources now so they could actually focus on a Quest port while still creating new content. But so much back end stuff had to happen and is still happening to this day. If they had never made a Quest 2 version, they couldve made so much new content for Onward despite having less resources. Theres still a lot of missing content from the PCVR version. This is just so confusing from my perspective, having just gotten a PSVR2 and Pavlov. This game has rapidly become one of my favorite games ever, so to hear someone say that this game is "dead" doesn't sound right. If anything, this feels to me like the beginning of an industry shift to VR, and Pavlov is... Paving the way for VR shooters. Man I watched the whole video and I just don't see any 'fall' of Pavlov. All I hear is complaining and whining. You just said the game is developed by ONE guy. Why do you expect results as if its a AAA game studio like EA, Activision or Ubisoft? VR games are also just not mainstream enough yet because not many people own a VR headset. Anyway I just pre-ordered the official release for Pavlov Shack. I love the game and I don't understand the hate. Its not as if its a very expensive game anyone. a PS5 game nowadays costs like 70 dollars...
The engine update killed the PC community.
