Bro you're a life saver. You and Wim Hof. My symptoms started in may and continued for months. They were on and off. Pain in the penis, erectile dysfunction, pelvic pain, frequent urination, rectal pain, burning feet, hard flaccid, premature ejaculation (literally seconds, while flaccid) and pain after ejaculation which lasts for days. Went into depression and anxiety to the point I didn't wanna talk to anyone, just stayed in my room googling, even ended up losing my girlfriend. I visited every urologist in my city and did all tests under the sun. Urine pcr tests, urine cultures, semen cultures, biopsies, blood tests, ultra sound, diabetes test. Everything came back negative. In the beginning of November I ran across your video. Started the stretching, plus the Wim Hof breathing exercise. My daily routine is as follows. First thing in the morning I drink coffee, emptying the bowls daily is a MUST. Then 22 mins of stretching. At some point during the day 10 mins of Wim Hof breathing exercise (doesn't have to be daily), then another 22 mins of stretching exercises before bed. It's been a month now following this routine. Symptoms are almost completely gone. Some flare ups every now and then but only last for a short time. Erectile dysfunction is gone, premature ejaculation is gone, even realized that controlling the breathing delays it significantly and lets u take control, plus makes the refractory period almost instant. I am by no means a doctor but my personal conviction is that this all is mental. It is caused by stress and suppressed emotions. This causes contractions in the muscles which leads to the mentioned symptoms. The combination of stretching and breathing exercises is the optimal solution. Controlling the breathing fights the cause which is stress and stretching heals the contractions caused by stress. This is by no means a disease. It is a dysfunction that needs constant work. First step is to take the necessary tests though, to rule out any infection. I hope my comment helps others, I know going through this is hell in itself.

Guys, I’ve had CCPPS symptoms on and off since I was 22 years old. I’m 43 now.
It comes and it goes. Sometimes I’m 100% healthy for YEARS. Absolutely no symptoms and sometimes it comes back for days, weeks, months. I’ve had all the symptoms - shooting pains in the dick, feeling like a golf ball is stuck in my rectum, burning during and after peeing, head of penis pain, you name it. I’ve learned a lot over the years and the number one thing I can advise to cure this issue is you need to RELAX your mind and anxieties and believe you will beat this 100%. Do your stretches. Ian is right, this is caused by a combination of anxiety and clenching your pelvic region unconsciously. Workout at least 30 minutes a day if you can. It doesn’t have to be extreme, just something to get your heart rate up and endorphins flowing, see a pelvic PT if that is feasible for you, they are great and can really help you but you can beat it without seeing a pelvic floor PT regardless. Plus they are expensive and I know we don’t always have the extra money. Try to stay off the doom and gloom internet. People do get better and then disappear after bitching about their symptoms on the chat rooms and CZcams channels. That’s proof enough that they beat it! If they didn’t beat it they would still be here saying woah is me and feeding you more doom and gloom saying you can’t get better. That’s absolute BS! You will get better, you will beat this! You might have flares from time to time but knowing that you can and will beat this and symptoms will again fade is half the battle to victory over this syndrome.

I suffered from Prostatitis for over a year, fifteen years ago, in my early 20s. It slowly went away, after 11 months no help from antibiotics, and I almost forgot what the symptoms felt like. It came back two weeks ago. I'm trying to do everything I can this time. CZcams didn't even exist back when I had it the first time. There is so much more information out there now. I went to my Urologist and he started me right away on Cipro(4 weeks) and Flomax (1month). And now I'm searching for anything else that I can do to help alleviate the symptoms. Last night was bad. The first half of today was decent, but I'm not doing well now. It's obvious there is more at play here. Stress and anxiety make it worse for me. Which makes it harder to empty my bladder fully, which feeds the cycle. Thank you for making this video. Im starting right now. The emotional impact of this condition is almost worse for me. It ruined me 15 years ago. I can't have that happen again.

@@gamesmaster1060 I'm feeling pretty good lately. I took Cipro for 4 weeks, along with Flomax (generic) and the stretching routine every morning, and sometimes at night too. I have continued the Flomax, as it really does help with emptying the bladder and urine flow. My Urologist said I could stop it any time and see how I feel. The common side effects were apparent at first, but come and go. 80% of the time, I don't experience them. The main thing is that I'm emptying my bladder much better than before. Ive been on it for a couple months now, and I may try to stop it for a week and see how I feel. He wrote me a 1-year prescription so I can re-fill it anytime without having to go back to the office. A big difference now is really the support and information on the internet too. 15 years ago, the internet was not much of anything. I lost hope way back then. Seeing these videos, and talking to a new Urologist really changed my outlook. If I do have a not-so-good day, I don't get really down about it. I also know not to force and strain. I know the feeling now and I know what it is. Back 15 years ago, I thought I really had to pee more. But it was just swelling in the prostate giving me that feeling. I think part of the reason it hung around for so long back then was because I kept straining and forcing to try and get more out. It was like a self-fulfilling prophecy, in a sense. I also know now to abstain from any sexual activities for a few days during a "flare up".

Dude, I can't thank you enough for these. I'm 21, got this pain in my rectum at 18 right after I graduated high-school. I became unbelievably depressed, I'd never tell the souls around me but I made a promise to myself that at 25 I'd probably kill myself if this condition never got better and I couldn't live the life I wanted. I was weak, and I can't believe I went to that dark of a place. I felt I couldn't be the person I wanted.
I would sit down and not stand up for hours because I knew as soon as I stood up I'd get a shooting pain through my rectal area, reminding me that I still had this demon living in me. I'd try to lift weights with friends and be in agony at home. Let them down when I would avoid lifts I was so enthusiastic to try. During all this I saw multiple specialists, none could help me. I even had surgery, none of it helped. Then the rectal doctor said my pelvic floor was tight and prescribed a medication for muscle relaxant. Symptoms went 80% away, I couldn't stay on it forever and saw a physical therapist. Those sessions were so painful, but she made me feel a lot better after.
I concluded my meetings with her with around 85% solved. I found your channel just did these stretches and feeling damn near 100%. I got an ebook reader so I can finally order your book when it arrives as I'll be shipping to basic training for the AirForce in about a month and want every bit of help I can. Thank you for everyone who recognizes this unbelievably debilitating ailment. I see most have to suffer through it to understand.
I also started laugh/crying doing the legs on wall stretch, nothing like feeling chronic pain melt away.

@@Tempplee sorry to hear my friend, I totally understand where your head is right now and the darkness you are in. I'm not out of it yet either completely. I've gotten to manageable levels but sometimes, like when I eat really hot food it creeps back in.
So I don't have much pain in adductors, but the legs on wall stretch is unbelievably painful in that region. Now that I've been stretching daily it's not as bad. I have pain just around the rectum, it's a sore feeling. When I stop pissing, and you flex those muscles to stop the flow, that's when I get the most pain. I sometimes have a burning sensation in my penis when I have bad days. I don't get an abdominal pain. Just pain around the rectum almost exclusively.
I've also found that my hamstrings are probably the tightest out of everything. Again, I can't say much, I've been there too and still have lingering mental issues from this curse, but hold on. Truly. Keep trying new methods, we always think that the body aging will make everything worse but sometimes the body is too good at things and this is why we hurt. Don't rule out the idea that your pain can decrease in the future. Best of luck, and keep stretching.

    • @HeavyReign12
      @HeavyReign12 Před 3 lety +12

@@Director_yahya never go in for surgery if you truly have this issue. I did that and truly regret it. Eat foods that are good for you. If that is hard, find something else in life to give you that kick of dopamine that you get from food. I've noticed when I have a really good show I don't care as much about food cravings. You can't see food as a happy drug, only as nutrition.
Stretch as often as possible. Always try to put your legs in positions where they can get proper blood flow. Flex and stretch whenever you feel a little stiff. Breathe deep, with your stomach. Imagine your muscles relaxing. Actually picture them in your head relaxing. Try to not get stressed, remind yourself that time will pass regardless if you worry or not. Stay in the moment, and do NOT dwell on your issue. If you become obsessed it will just make you stress more. Always see yourself outside of your injury, your injury does not define you.

Thank you so much for this video! Seriously!!
I had only been in pain for a month, but when I called the doctor about it (phone consultation instead of a visit due to COVID-19) I was told it could be testicular torsion and I should go straight to hospital as a medical emergency. Panicked, I headed straight to the hospital, only to have bloods taken, wait 8 hours in a waiting room (up the walls with worry having been told that it could be testocular torsion!) to be seen by a doctor who told me that there was nothing wrong with me. He said "Its not torsion, and it doesn't look like there's any infection. I cant see what wrong with you. You shouldn't be in the emergency room" and walked out. I was left to feel like i was imagining the pain, that I had wasted his time and that I had medical anxiety or something.
It wasn't until I did further research (MYSELF) that I discovered it was a pelvic muscular issue. Doing the stretches in this video have nearly completely healed the pain (I've only been doing it a few days but already there is a HUUUUGE difference!!)
Before all this started, I was jogging long distances regularly and was doing core workouts everyday. So when it came to doing the cobra stretch in this video (which i have done before no problem) I was so tense in the abdomen that I could barely stretch!! 😂 Doing the cobra (along with the other stretches) everyday for the past few days has almost completely healed the pain.
I've gone from thinking id need my testicles removed due to a doctor, to feeling like I was imagining the pain due to another doctor, to having the pain acknowledged and healed due to you Ian. Thank you!

@@_1z_ you might have a bacterial infection if youre running a fever, my brotha. The stretches have 95% eliminated the pain and the trips to the bathroom. I dont reccomend doctors for much, but if you havent, get tested and see if there is any bacteria or whatever present in your prostate. The stretches helped relieve the on-going golf-ball in your crotch feeling and that has helped me in doing normal activities to lower my stress/on top of not stressing because of that pain. I was suffering with this shit for 3 years and all my tests were negative and i even tried going to the doc again last year, only to be told that they found nothing (did another urine analysis and a bladder ultrasound because with the prostate symptoms, i also been having issues fully empyting my bladder). Id recommend taking Saw Palmetto and pumpkinseed oil to aid in your recovery if in fact your prostate is inflamed. Supplements like that did help for some time but the stretches and stress management have helped tremendously

Muscle relaxers are one day cures. You need to stretch everyday, foam roll and never get mad. Then you can proceed to not getting anxiety. That happens when you face your fear (whatever gives you anxiety, breathe and say this is nothing to be afraid of. I'm not going to let this fear make me feel inferior. When you're afraid or anxious of anything, your pelvic muscles tighten up and (I) have frequent urination. When you feel anxious, you can take deep breaths (breathe into your stomach) and relax. That's what I did and it helped me.

@@BenJamin_1497 Hi, I am doing so much better but it is very depressing to still have some flare ups. Like sometimes it gives tingling or pain in urethra as if it is being cut or something. I really don't understand, I didn't get any surgery or anything, no injury, tissues are all healthy. But muscles got insanely tight after an epididitymitis infection. They didn't get tight in one night I guess. During the infection I had insane anxiety due to various reasons. I thought the infection will never go away. Anyways long stories and I don't even wanna remember. Also everything started at the same time with this stupid pandemic. So yeah, infection symptoms got replaced with the CPPS symptoms. I don't have frequent urination, burning etc for months. I mean, my frequent urination was rare, only after straining myself too much after some bowel movements. But then I learnt more and more about bowel stuff and stopped straining. Straining makes some muscles more tense there. Since 2020 I have learnt so many things, so many realizations.. I deal with extreme soreness and tightness around my sitting bones sometimes. Anxiety is one of the biggest thing that contributes to my situation. My abdomen area was too tense and with the help of my physiotherapist, I started to do some exercises like laying down on my stomach on a ball and stay like that for 5 minutes. 3 different location each side. When I first started, my stomach was hurting a lot as if being cut but now, usually I don't feel anything. I also do a lot of stretching exercises like knee to chest, figure four, cobra pose, child pose, frog stretch, stir the pot, hooklying position, obturator internus and some more and at work I do passive squad position a lot and it helps my soreness instantly. These muscles are -as my physiotherapist says, GOSSIPY. It is not like your biceps. Both volunteer and involunteer... I think also during those tough times, my body became more and more overprotected of myself, if you have pain, it doesn't mean there is something wrong with your tissues sometimes. Just like how some people experience heart attack symptoms when they have only a panic attack. Our brain is crazy for sure.. But yes however the muscles got tight, it can get looser as well! I had various symptoms like dull ache next to the penis sometimes, all of a sudden pain deep inside the anus, some tailbone pain, some weird sensations that I can't even identify. And so many times they were happening the same time I was getting so much stress and anxiety. But most of them are gone. The most depressing thing was, during ejaculation, it was like as if its on fire but that disappeared mostly as well. Now I am able to lay down more without constantly rotating right and left over and over, and sometimes I can sit all normal. But sometimes, something triggers something and bam, it becomes uncomfortable so I stand up or do some releasing position etc. There are a lot of things to say about these pelvic floor muscles and this type of youtube comment is not enough obviously, so I highly recommend a pelvic floor physiotherapist. Also Ian is doing an amazing job, we talked some about his videos and website with my physiotherapist. Definitely great job! Those ignorant urologists, speacialists etc make me so pissed! This fucked up planet is not fair, yes it is very cruel and it gets on my nerves badly but I try my best and fight! Tougher than steel! There is no other option. Cheers mate.

Practicing pelvic drops again and these stretches and more personalized trigger point therapy and workouts. Been struggling with cpps/chronic Prostatitis on and off for about 9years now..
    These stretches are amazing !!
With me the problem is the hamstrings they are extremely short and tight from heavy lifting. Probably creating severe pelvic tension
If i eat very low carb i have mutch less symptomps sometimes even non.
Probably as there is mutch less muscle pump then... So less pevic tension
This is one off the best videos for cpps stretches !! It just takes a little time and dedication for them to work
    Thanks man !!

Love love your stretches!! They are actually a lot of the same ones my physiotherapist recommended to me but the difference is yours you hold for a solid 2 minutes which I found a lot more effective and that’s after one time doing your stretches. I will definitely keep them up and hopefully things will get better and better!! Thanks again for taking the time to share what you do, it means a whole lot to me and I’m sure so many others!!🤗

Hey Ian. I discovered your videos after over a year of fluctuating levels of pain and four rounds of antibiotics, one of which lasted 6 weeks and left me struggling to walk without losing my balance. It sounds weird saying it but at 53 years old it took permission (from you) to get pissed off at my condition and take a different route than the doctors had laid out for me. I don't want to jinx myself but I started your stretching routine 3 days ago and this is the best I have felt since my symptoms started. I have also set up a consult with a physical therapist and plan to follow your system and tweak it after I start PT. If I can make one suggestion to your viewers that has really helped me. I work at a desk all day for my job. About 6 months ago I put in an order with Facilities for an adjustable height desk. This way I can stand when sitting is uncomfortable/ painful and vice versa. I actually stand for about 80% of the day now and it has made a difference. Many thanks for inspiring us to lay siege to our pelvic pain.

@@Ndjhdjdnsjsjjd I had everything but erectile dysfunction and quick ejauculation. My symptoms changed over time, for a while I didn’t know what I was going through so the stress made it a lot worse, that I got a urethra scope by my urologist and got everything else ruled out, and he knew that I was experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction. Mine started in November of 2023, and is still kinda ongoing, it’s comes about feeling like a crazy bat UTI, but that’s only the beginning. I had urination urgency, pain in my pelvic, stiffness in my glutes, pain in my urethra, throbbing in my prostate/perineum area. Couldn’t sit for long periods of times, sometimes felt like I would be sitting on a marble, crazy constipation… here’s my advice, I don’t know how long you’ve been going through this bro, but the moment you’ll start to get better is when you take control of your own symptoms, I don’t know if you have yet but start by seeing a urologist to get everything else ruled out, then start by doing these stretches twice a day, take the routine serious. Also add a sitz bath to this routine, if u don’t know what a sitz bath is just search it up on google, try avoiding to sit for to long, which is way more easier said then done, try not to stress. Its been 8 months for me, since March I have been doing the stretches in this video and others I found online along with the sitz bath, my urge to urinate and a lot of pain has went away, but everyday is not always easy, it’s a work in progress. I start seeing my pelvic floor therapist in august, and I just tell myself that if I found all this success on my own, imagine how much a therapist will help me. Sorry to type out such a long message but I really feel for people that are going thru this, because it’s been 8 months for me, but my biggest advice is to not let this take over your life, and whatever you like to do in life that makes you the happiest, continue to do it !!

Same problem, I have all the symptoms that you describe in the video and additional testicular pain, I have an apparent varicocele but I have been to 3 urologists and the last one was a very young one and he told me that I could have a varicocele but my symptoms are from the pelvic floor and I recommended this video and go to physical therapy.

After 4 months of antibiotics which has left me with what seems to be permanent tinnitus I get a diagnosis of non bacterial prostatitis. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I am in severe pain and discomfort 24/7 for the past 6/7 months. I am going to give the stretches a try as I have no other clue on how to heal myself. Doctors just don't have a clue how to treat this condition .... I really hope this works for me.

    • @therealgist

@@shawnabid9327 yeah it's very distressing for me too. No it hasn't gone away. I took ciprofloxacin for 2 months followed by doxycycline for 2 months. It was towards the end of the 2 month doxycycline course that the tinnitus started. I can't be sure if it was a delayed reaction from the cipro or the doxy that did it. I finished the doxy about 2 months ago so I've had this tinnitus for 2 months now. I've spoken with a couple of people online. 1 that said it went away after 4-6 months and another said it took a year. But I really don't know man. I live in hope that it's not permanent

I've had CPPS for around 15 years... I've had very mild to severe pain... during that time I've gotten to the point of just mild issues, but the it comes back with the severity intermittently.. recently, I've started doing mediation, which I think has been tremendously helpful, but last time I did it Indian style
. I woke up the next morning with the most severe pain ever.. the only time I've hurt that bad is with bikram yoga, which I also find helpful.. but If you have tight muscles, you can definitely over stretch. And over do it... which has the opposite effect.. so gentle stretching I think is the key...

Absolutely! And I'm glad you mentioned the "Indian style" thing - I did that for an upcoming video, but I don't want people to assume they have to sit that way.

At 27 I'm at a wits end with my fairly recent diagnosis. Since may of 2023 I've been dealing with my issues until I was diagnosed with prostatitis in August. It's but a little bit of up and a lot of down ever since then. On and off a medicine cabinet of medications and nothing has really helped. Antibiotics and beta blockers have shown a minor improvement over the short term, but as time goes on symptoms only seem to reintroduce themselves in more obvious ways when they appear. ED and PE are glaringly present which has led to lengthy periods of isolation and despair. I'm lost and in a desperate search of relief and solace from this godforsaken problem. I just discovered this guide now and I'm going to stick to it religiously, I don't know what else to do when doctors are not able to solve this issue
