The Quick Sampler is my favourite feature of this update... it's just so intuitive, fast and combines everything you'll ever need for sampling...
Maannnnn I just discovered your channel and I must say, this is some no-nonsense, to the point, tutorial. Too many people ramble on over the smallest thing but you get wiz through it all and still get straight to the point! Amazing stuff!
yeah. its the best
youre tutorials are awesome man. I love the type of content as well as your demeanor towards teaching about it. SO to the point, and time efficient. Love your stuff man, keep it up
This is super helpful. Thank you posting these videos this week. My goodness...Logic has really upped their game! I'm looking forward to getting into the program and playing around with all the new features!
Oh man.. you have no idea how informative you are in this tutorial!!! THANKS!!!
This series of videos have been fantastic. This channel is essential if you are using Logic Pro. Thanks!
Best logic video I’ve watched in quite a while, massively helpful 🙏
Gosh dude, what an amazing channel. Really enjoy your content. LPX definitely rules. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing tutorial! Crazy how deep you can get with the quick sampler. Definitely a lot more powerful than Ableton's 'Simpler.'
Great job on the videos for Logic X.5 week. They are very informative and will serve as great quick references. Looking forward to more of your very professional videos.
This looks like a ton of fun. Thanks for the great tutorial!
Great tutorial... and a stunning plugin. I have been resisting this for ages, reverting to my EXS24 on my old laptop when needed. Not any more 😃
Super helpful tutorial! Thanks Hombre!
This improves workflow so much

Thank you!
Chris, you are incredible! Really great video, again! 😀. Can I use this ample in Alchemy as well? Thanks! David.
Thanks Chris
So powerful.
nice video! I haven't touched Logix Pro X in a couple years but this latest update might make it worth trying again.. Btw just a tip as a viewer, next time don't use a bass as your sound example, since us folks listening on phones won't be able to hear the audio at all. Still understood all the lessons though, thanks again.
Thank you
Awesome
Great video! When you save the cropped sample does it automatically save in your quick sampler folder? Or do you pick that folder? I've tried several times to chop a apple loop as a test and it tries to save in the apple loops folder, not in the quick sampler folder. If I select "show in finder" it's always in the loops folder. Is there a way to change this, so that it always saves to quick samples folder or another folder I designate? Thanks for all the info!
Redmatica is back :-)
In the splice section, how do you edit the key of each transient? I’d like to lay it out as C1 D1 E1 G1 for example, but they are mapped out weirdly by default
So siiiick. Expect a lot from me based on this new toy. I hope Logic keeps growing like this 😍😍😍😍😍🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 tnx so much for this video
hello, thanks for your great tutorial, I would like to ask you, why every file I save, also saves me the whole history of the previous samples, this creates too many duplicates, I should continually delete the history of the samples, before saving, there is a way / setting to bypass the history of samples?
gracias baby
Anyone know if its possible to export multiple audio files from from one spliced up piece of audio?
So does it pitch it for you to get on key? Or ??
Hey! Does anyone know how I would be able to set the quick sampler to only play one sample at a time when using slice mode? I use a drum pad rather than a keyboard and wanted to know if there was a way to cancel out the last sample played when you play the next note. It might be an obvious one but I can't seem to find an answer.
2 years too late lol..but set your Poly to 1 instead of 16
I don't get where you got that quick sampler drop down menu initially. I can't seem to open just a blank quick sampler how do you do it?
yea same
Im new to using quick the sampler but for some reason when I drag my 808s into the quick sampler the 808s run together when I play them at a fast rate it starts making this real muddy sound even after putting the mode in mono also the 808s don't hold the note unless I hold the beat pad down. Does anyone know why I may be experiencing this?
I notice in Slice mode you can't crossfade is this right?
Coud you promt me if it's possible at all to trim sampe in Quick Samper? Because I can't find no such function. If this is impossible,it will be really sad ( Thanks in advance!
But how do you get a new sample onto the timeline? Like let's say I want to play the sample at a certain pitch on the keyboard, and use the reverse function within the sampler. If I record in the timeline while doing that, the resulting region is empty. If I choose "write sample to audio file," nothing happens. How do I play and record the sample to actually use it?
I have the same question.
@@Hissov I figured it out. So you have to drag it as midi from the bottom of the waveform into the timeline (onto a pre-existing track like an instrument track). Alternatively, you can copy the midi from the gear menu dropdown in the upper-right corner or the sampler. Both of these only work in "Slice" mode. Not Classic or One-Shot.
in slice mode how can we make can map the slices so they are not chromatic? basically every slice starts twhere the previous ended how can we change that if we wanted various points of the sample mapped on a controller?
You would have to manually chop...turn the sensitivity slider down and add in your own slice markers
Where is the velocity in that device? I miss the overall velocity fader?
hi i have a problem with quick sampler. no matter what I do or how I rout the input I'm unable to record. the button it's always greyed out. I do all the procedure like in the apple website or your video but nothing. the input is selected correctly, the level meter shows that I have audio and I can even ear myself with the monitor but I'm unable to record please help!
When I drop a audio track the optimiser doesn’t come up!.. using 10.1 logic.. any ideas?
can i use this version of logic pro on a imac with high sierra 10.13.6 i want to upgrade
only work on 10.14 and up
@@KhmerKingg i wonder if i upgrade my mac it would work
If your iMac can run Mojave then you’re good.
@@jdrukman how can i upgrade to it and is it a free upgrade
How are you playing the sample? Where is the play button inside quick sampler? When i hit the spacebar it plays the whole track. HOW DO YOU RUN TE SAMPLE TRACK INSIDE QUICK SAMPLER????????????
The play button is right below the slice marker...you will see a play icon when you hover your mouse in that area ..I still press space bar by habit lol
For some reason thise does not trigger any sound...
Sad that nearly all Logic X lessons on all channels move way to fast to see what they are clicking on.
i need to delete those samples i dragged in 🤣
i don't know wtf is going on, put i don't have any quick sampler. :///
neither did i, did you find it
@@persona8991 I updated my logic!
Every tutorial I watch already starts with the sample loaded onto the track. Why not just start from scratch to help us newbies? It won’t even add a minute to your video to start from a completely empty project.
Drag and drop into the interface
okay so where is the "big brother sampler" video?
very bad, not in depth, not explained, clust clicked around, i dont know more now than before
