Q&A With Anton Newcombe (Brian Jonestown Massacre)

25 years ago tomorrow, with debut album "Methodrone," Anton Newcombe unleashed his Brian Jonestown Massacre on an unsuspecting world. And what a long, strange trip it's been. Countless records and lineup changes, an award-winning rockumentary that never let the truth get in the way of a good story, the theme song to Boardwalk Empire and much musical and mortal mayhem followed. These days, Newcombe, who turns 53 this week, is living the family life in Berlin, running a recording studio and record label and no doubt working-with bravery, repetition and noise-on the next BJM album. This is why you love Anton.
