This interpretation of Joker was brilliant. It's like a cross of Mark Hamill and Heath Ledger with a little bit of Murdoc Niccals sprinkled in. Hats off to the guy who played him
C-Funk thank you. It means the world.
Hey, Poor Mark Hamill and Heath Ledger had to think of how to do the character all by themselves. I'm not say that the movie isn't good but I want to see guys do the Joker and make him their own. Bring him from a funny place, a dark place, a tragic place but most importantly bring him from a real place. Give him a life no one else has out of your own genius. Don't imitate just create. There isn't a wrong way to be you so don't be afraid to show yourself in these movies.
I feel like the Joker actor couldn't figure out whether he wanted to be Heath Ledger or Mark Hamill.
Jace Carsonne lol , true
Mark Hamil , that's an easy one
Late to the party, but I liked this Joker. Great blend of cooky twisted clown and dark serious psychopath. It's pretty much how I imagined him.
Even with the low budget, you still managed to capture the heart of Moore's work. The cinematography was delightful, the acting on Joker's part was spot on, and the music choice was brilliant. Fix up the editing here and there and the film would've been perfect. Brilliant for what it is and I hope to see more films, fan films or originals, from you in the future.
LachlanMM You definitely will. Thank you so much for watching and I'm thrilled you enjoyed. We'll only get better from here. Thank you again.
The jokers acting was dry, and just a fucking shitty mark hamill rip off.
DW Productions You did a good job on this one. 😊
@@yourmum8434 implying Mark hammill shitty performance in TKJ was good.
this was amazing, good job! keep up the great work!!
DoubleBubble DiscoQueenl-/ thank you. Happy you liked.
I love this batman killing joke full fan film
I was very impressed by the expanded scenes and dialogue, especially the scenes with Alfred. Compared to the animated one, this is a far looser adaptation, but it works beautifully nonetheless.
AM Keefer Thank you. It's good to hear appreciation for something that many people wouldn't notice/understand
DW Productions Nice film with great cast. Poor Babs, Commissioner Gordon, Jeannie, innocent people who died and Bruce, Alfred and Bruce's parents though.
This is a nice film, which also has a great cast. Poor Babs, Commissioner Gordon, Jeannie, innocent people who died and Bruce, Alfred and Bruce's parents though.
Wow.This is really really really amazing.I love it.Thanks for the awesome short-film.
The Arkham Knight Thank you very much.
I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on this channel. Keep it up and keep improving :)
This movie was amazing I loved the hard work they put into this. And the only thing is when they scream it's low voiced but other than that he whole cast was great and the two brothers that made it were amazing too thanks so much for making this movie fan film and hope for more amazing ones like this in the future
Jester the molester we will continue to produce great content. And it will only get better. Thank you so much.
Excellent work. You can feel all the passion and dedication come through in this project. You should be proud of this and I hope you are. Know you gave me a great experience as I watched your work.
Jake Sanchez thank you. That means the world.
so cool! I like how you changed it up the tiniest bit so that it wasn't too much the same and it wasn't too different
Harley Thornton Thank you.
Great work. True definition of "fan film" in all its glory. Subscribed and looking forward to future projects
Shane inTexas thank you very much. Thrilled you loved it it means a lot. We look forward to putting out more content.
You're very welcome, best of luck to the team and God bless.
I'll be looking forward to what the future holds for y'all
Nice fan film. Keep it going.
You put in a lot of work for story, editing, costumes and so on. As with any fan films ,making one is hard and completing one is even harder with a limited budget.
sumo36 thank you very much. We are happy you liked it. We will only get better from here and thank you for realizing like how difficult it is to put the things we do in there. I've worked on the movie for two years so its good to know that there are fans that appreciate and understand what we do. So believe me when I say thank you and that it means a lot
This an award-winning achievement.
I would say,
this historic peace
of human art,
is an example for the tragedy
within the choice
between all this meaningless triviality,
which You choose to call,
" LIFE ".
A bad joke.
But,
one lesson is left behind,
my funny friend.
It's not just,
one bad, grumpy day.
It's more,
than that, my friend.
More,
than that.
It's the remembering.
Remembering
can be gross.
At least,
I would thank You guys,
but I can't.
So,
I wrote it.
" Thank You. "
~Mr. K.
Mr. K. You absolutely nailed it. Thank you.
This was a really good production... keep up the good work..
This is just incredibly well made just awesome!
this is amazing, and the jokers laugh was spot on!
elizabethx01 thank you. So happy you liked it.
haha, this is great! I can see you guys doing something great someday.
Dam. That was great. The Joker & Bat man we’re perfect. Great job everyone involved
Money cant buy HEART, you guys are amazing. Limited budget but the ending wow. I wish Hollywood put the same heart you guys do.
That was good. Have to say you really have a brilliant film adaption of the Killing Joke.
Mattis Haile thank you. It means the world.
You're welcome. It had its flaws but the story was very compelling. Keep up the good work.
Mattis Haile You got it. Our next project will be miles better. We will only go up from here. Thank you for your time and your comment.
Loved this so much!!!! Please make more!!!!
this is flipping great. 6/10 movie wise which is amazing for a fan film. as far as fan films go 10/10 easy. amazing with the little budget you had. abt to watch ur other films. great work.
amazing work! :) i totally love it.
Darth Vigorous thank you. I'm so happy you did.
You're most welcome.
I love it starting from 29:00! Those parts gave me goosebumps almost
This. Was. Brilliant!! The acting, the cinematography, the music...I'm definitely a fan and can't wait to see what you guys come up with in the future!!
Alexxa Anne thank you very much
Alexxa Anne I agree. It was really good :)
Great work. I’d just touch up on the sound editing a little tho.
Great work I hope I get to make a Batman movie in Hollywood some day but I wilstick with these horror shorts for now
This Killing Joke fan film is way better than the Warner Bros animated film. I even like the extra scenes especially the scene where Batman is talking to the criminal that the Joker helped get into the chemical plant, I even like the line "I didn't know the Joker. I knew the man he was before". Those scenes add so much more to the Killing Joke story, unlike the animated version where in the first half it focused on a pointless subplot with Batgirl, which added completely nothing. I even like the Batfleck inspired voice modulator, very cool! Good job on this movie, DW Productions! Well done!
I love your video this is my favorite video batman the killing joke full fan film thank you
Thank you!
This is OUTSTANDING!!! Would LOVE to see You make an adaption of The Court Of Owls Storyline!
Heroninja FOREVER thank you I'm happy you liked. I'll definitely look into it more and see if we can do it.
Great Job !
This is what the killing joke movie should had been like!
Joker was pretty good, and some of the shots were cool, lights, brawling action. a more passionate Batman woulda elevated this much, I can't believe tho that he changed the joke at the end , he adds a stair, and that the the crazy man who already crossed was gonna put a beam of light on the stairs, when on the comic he was suggesting that he crossed by walking on the beam of light itself, indicating that both were completely insane. and well the fact taht batman doesnt share the laugh on this one is kinda sad.
holy shit, Joker's voice was fantastic!
I love this, I've wanted this to exist, and I wanted to make it, but didn't have the means, thank you!
834rCu8 thank you. That means the world to me. Happy you liked it.
NICE JOB
"Why are you being like this"
I fuckin died lolol
all i can say negative is that some of the scenes looked like they were shot in your friends bedroom
I just happened to stumble upon this. Just finished watching... good job.
Byron Horde thank you. I'm happy you did.
Haha this is pretty cool. When I was a kid, I got a video camera and me and my friends made James Bond movies, a horror movie that was a ripoff of Halloween, some stop animation stuff. You guys really put in the effort here and took it seriously. Nice job
Question, what was the reasoning behind changing up the Joker's joke at the end? Been a while since I've read TKJ, but wasn't it the one guy said he'll shine the flashlight and the other guy could walk over the beam of light?
A RA thank you so much. I'm so happy you liked it. But yes that was the joke and I believe it was said at the end of it. It just wasn't word for word as it was in the comic. But it definitely does talk about the shining of the light and the beam. But seriously it means the world you liked the movie. Thank you.
+DW Productions Yeah man. The camera work and editing were really well done, all the acting was great and you guys all took it seriously, the love of the source material shows. I can tell y'all had a lot of fun working on this project. The guys who played Alfred and Gordon are pretty cool for getting involved. Hope you guys go on to have rewarding careers
Am i seriously the only person who realized that the joke was told wrong??? there was no ladder at all, the beam of light from the flashlight was the bridge itself
You are right. How they can miss that line so wrong!
@@zarriath AND...batman is supposed to be laughing with him.
Great adaptation. Kudos to Mr J
I LOVED THE JOKER IN THIS FILM. GREAT WORK!
I love the cracking noise at the end. I know what you're saying. you're smart.
Eh, I'm not a huge fan of it - it's a bit of a closed minded ending.
Wow, Barbara Gordon's hair is really nice and pretty in this one. 😊❤
IKR
I love this, my only problem is the overrated ledger styled makeup.
That guy who likes Legos :P thank you. But ya we do have little to no budget. But now we are starting to get a bit more money. So expect everything to be better in the future. This is just the start for us.
That was almost as good as the official animated movie! (•o•)
thank you for making batman the killing joke full fan film
he definitely killed the jocker. Batman realised and understood through the Jocker's joke that there's no changing him, that he'll be a lunatic till he dies, that he'll always take innocent lives, and continue committing crime
Kayula Mwanamwenge nope what actually happened is that joker drove Batman Insane and made him strangle him also learn grammar
It's JOKER and just put it this way, in the end the Joker really wins.
I hit the "like" button, but you might want to revisit the source material and get better microphones. I can't really hear it that well.
Awesome And Outstanding Batman The Killing Joke Fan Film Buddy Phenomenal Job I Was Very Impressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep Up The Amazing Work And Batman Fan Films:)
You guys should've added the "Innocent Guy".
Lighting is Everything, just thought I'd give constructive criticism.
Anti 1 Martial artist & Olympic trainee thank you. It will improve
DW Productions Good luck, not like you'll need it 😃
It sounds like you don't even care if the audience hears the dialogue or not.
Wait til you see my adaption of "the Killing Joke"
@@damianprock1650 2 year later.
@@ThatJokerDude yep, but rest assured, it will come soon and just as well, Harley Quinn would have a better understanding of the Joker's psychological profile with this adaptation
This was incredible, bro. Keep up the awesome work. Could you explain the ending, though? I'm a bit confused. Does the batman kill the joker? Vice versa? Does Batman just put him in jail? I'm confused. Gordon DID tell him to do it by the book......so arrest? Lol im confused.
jagjit bhatia thanks man I really appreciate it. But the ending is up to interpretation. I personally interpret it as Batman realizing the Joker is too far gone and that he can no longer bring him back from the abyss, which is what I believe to be the only reason Batman doesn't kill his enemies. Batman has been were they have been. But he have come back from it. And whenever he sees the Joker can no longer come back I believe he kills him to release him from the pain of the world. Because he can no longer improve himself or the world around him
+DW Productions Wow.....that's really awesome. When I watched the animated version of the killing joke, I also thought that batman killed the joker. Once again, excellent job and keep up the good work. As someone who is considering film-making as a future hobby, this is pretty inspiring.
jagjit bhatia Thank you man. That means a lot.
I really really really liked the Joker.Amazing job.
The Arkham Knight thank you. So happy you did.
thats ban outstanding joker voice!!!!!!!!!
This is a VERY faithful adaptation of the comic.
this is just like a movie
Alfred is too great!!
best joker i have seen. i always thought people played him ether too comical, or two weird. this was what i always thought he should of been played. Im going to go out on a limb and say with the right budget and better sets this is the could be the one of the best batman movies i have seen, fan made, or mainstreem.
Markie Reese you know, I usually tell the fans thank you, or that their comment means the world to me. And while that reply is very true, it's pretty short and vague. I've had a super rough week, and tonight was probably the lowest I've been out of that week. And to open my phone and see a fan tell me how much they appreciate my work, really truly does mean the world. This one comment easily made my day, and I can't thank you enough for it. People like you are the reason I made this film, and the reason I will continue to make many more. I will develop into the filmmaker you would be proud to watch, and words can't express how much this meant to me. So from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you.
We know this is years later. But I wanted to let you know your comment meant a lot to me. We are currently making a new Batman film that will be with a much higher budget and I will be playing Joker again. An official announcement will come soon. We hope you love it. Have a good one and we’ll see you soon.
Question: how did you use the music from other films in ur fan film without being blocked?
Good job guys, would love to see more.
The Joker speech should have been done more slower, and honestly doesn't Gordon killing the guy count as cracking?? But still though, it was a great film. Good work guys :)
Jonathan wong zi cai well see when Gordon killed the man he thought him to be a thug that was trying to end his life while finding humor in it. And Gordon has a past of killing criminals in self defense while feeling little to no remorse about it because he knew that whatever happened they deserved it. But later he found out he was a mentally challenged boy that didn't mean him any harm. Which was another way for the Joker to break him down. But thank you very much and I'm happy you liked it.
Cool.
This film has potential! Some of the acting from the smaller characters is pretty mediocre, particularly Barbara, Gordon, and Jack's wife. It often sounds like they're reciting lines instead of actually talking. Also be careful of the sound matching from shot to shot. Sometimes it's slightly jarring hearing the differences in background noise. The stock footage was pretty obvious so make sure you work on the editing to make it match better. Keep working on things like this and you'll continue to get better :) This seems like it was a lot of fun to make.
Sara Long thank you it was. We will get better and improve. Thank you for your feedback.
Look past the low budget and so on. This was excellent. I don't normally approve of many low budget fan films but this one is an exception. The acting was brilliant and I loved the use of the soundtrack. I personally award this 5 stars!
Please consider adding closed captions for your older viewers. I don’t want to spend more energy trying to understand it, I’d rather enjoy it! Thanks for your understanding.😋
Just you wait til my take on "the Killing Joke"
Cool!😃
Perhaps a Death in the Family sequel? This is really inspiring I hope to do my take of the Barbara shooting soon and it's awesome to see someone made the whole comic.
Jorge Gonzalez Thanks man. I'll definitely think about it. It was super fun to make but I will have to take time to focus on other projects and to see if a sequel is needed or not. But thank you for watching and I'm happy to have inspired you. It means a lot.
Hi, I finished my own take on one of the scenes of The Killing Joke -and a lil plus- if you could check it out it would be awesome and whatever feedback you have could help me a lot, so in case you can check it out I leave you the link /watch?v=_plR7Ldvs9I&t=4s
that was prefect just fucking prefect :)
The feels! Nice choice of Music
Anti 1 Martial artist & Olympic trainee thank you very much :).
Very Good film
The Alfred in this version is so nice and likeable, i love him
The woman playing Barb Gordon is incredibly cute!!! ;)
It is as if the director/writers did not read the book at all. It's as if they used the comic for a story board but missed everything that made the story compelling. This film is just a series of random events. The parts that made these events into a cohesive psychological deconstruction are absent
51:45,
Start of Joker's monologue;
Whoa, these guys at talented
Thank you so much.
Lol the red hood costume🤣
not bad guys good job
The voice modulator could've been a bit better, but it's fine
did batman kill joker in the ending of THIS movie. I heard bones breaking off screen.
this was a damn good production, but... where was the Joker's death scene?
Neil Kendrick thank you happy you liked it. But it doesn't show it in the comment. So we didn't show it here. Wether he dies or not should remain a mystery that should only be teased.
I'd give this movie 3/5 stars. The movie was very enjoyable, with great acting and intense moments from the novel. However, one thing I didn't like was the delivery of Joker's monologue 'one bad day'. I feel like the delivery could've been slower and more dramatic. The ending looks like Batman killed the Joker. But in the novel, whatever Batman did to Joker was left for debate. It was still a great fan film in my opinion.
Pablo Luna Thank you very much. I'm happy you liked it. The monologue could have been better but we are always improving. And while the ending definitely did hint towards someone dying, it opens up conversation for the general audience to ask well, what really happened? But ya. Thank you for watching and I'm happy you enjoyed it.
Who bashed his forehead in. His face/mask looks like it did in dark knight rises after bane broke his back and it showed that scene of his mask bashed in before he broke his mask off
you should make one based on gotham!
did batman break joker neck at the end
Much better than the animated movie
For a Batman fan film, this was okay, even touching at some points, but the amateur nature of it was also a bit of a turn off. Good idea, though. A live action adaptation of the Killing Joke would be great.
Kenz I agree on some degree. Obviously we do have little to no budget. But everyone's an amateur at the start. But from here we only get more professional. So expect it to be much better in the future. Thank you for your time though. Means the world.
its 👍 i liked it
Better joker performance than Heath Ledger by far.
Just kidding. The kid wasn't so bad though.
blondey needs a little bit of acting practice. but very good
The only problem with this is you ruined the joke at the end
who’s dad is playing gordon
Joker did a pretty good job
The guy playing the Joker really got to me. Almost the same voice as Mark Hamill. But you ruined the joke at the end a bit.. but for a fanmade movie not bad not bad at all.
