It got a rat trying to use a stick. This could be a good trap for rats that have gotten familiar with common traps.
that smart rat is going to be picking the lock...😆
He's like: "what's Shawn's wife's birthday?"
@@oldrrocr "This is the lock picking rat and today I was sent this trap."
@@JoeyBaby47 "I'll be using the stick that Bosnian Bill and I found..."
Those rats have been evolved to Einstein level.
@@JoeyBaby47 ... CLASSIC❕ LPL ‼️®™️
I thought the skunk wasn't too happy with how its mouse snack was presented a couple weeks back. It looked happier this time: a nice big rat, served on a platter, electrically grilled to perfection, medium-rare.
We basically got two videos for the price of one today. Great content.
You mean 3!
The hawk was so cautious. Almost like "this meal was way too easy." 😂😂
Might be a deadly trap xD
Ever seen the video where a vulture is trying to snag some turtle guts as an alligator chomps on a turtle?
"I sense danger, but... free mouse."
You've said Pack Rats have stolen traps in the past. You should put a small tracking device in something they'd steal and find out where they're stashed.
I`ve been in old farm houses and found their nests with jewelry, coins and all sorts of stuff.
500m of a red thread
though he has shown fluorescent powder in a recent video
Mr Red Tail Hawk is a prime example of why you do not use poisons to control rodents. Not only does it kill the rodent, but also anything that eats it when it's dead.
Yeah I think so
Both the fluffy skunk and the beautiful hawk--what a treat! 😍
How could that hawk possibly see those dead mice from the sky?
@@spacefren3826
That's why they were called hawk eyes.
@@spacefren3826 Shawn is pretty easy to spot and he always brings treats.
It was pretty cute
In our house, if someone says mice, rats, squirrels, chipmunks the other one is obliged to say moles, voles and gophers!
3:14 - Tail up in the air as he contemplates an enjoyable peanut butter meal after dragging a stick around for who knows what reason.
3:19 - Tail down as he learns there's no such thing as a free lunch.
You ended his javelin career 😂
The way the tail of the rat goes to resting position. That rat died in a second
I thought for sure that rat was going to try to use that stick to short out the trap. I was thinking "no way...no way!! Oh okay"
The rat dragging a stick man, I love it lol. They're getting smarter!
Thank you for featuring a rat trap. More of them please.
I love how cautious the hawk is.
It seems to be always on the lookout for the candid camera.
For an apex predator, he seems too cautious.
He's worried that Rachel will catch him doing it.
@@stormbornapostle5188 is that an animorphs joke?
@@thomasewing2656 Apex predator just means nothing eats him as a standard part of their diet - PLENTY of things eat red tail chicks and great horned owls will go out of their way to kill a hawk they find in their territory.
Nobody:
Rats/mice: "we need food"
Shawn: "RIDE THE LIGHTNING"
Rat using stick, god damn they are getting more smart.
When the light turns green, the trap is clean.
Nobody is talking about that orange flash when the trap got dunked. 4:55
"Who you gonna call?"
That skunk and hawk were thanking free BBQthis must be our lucky day shawn next time please leave some sauze
I thought that was a wee dog with the stick🏴
A part of me is sad the Stick rat died…
He seemed pretty chill…
...and then became rather toasty.
@@joeschmo622 take my like
Get well soon Shawn. There are still mice to catch.
What happened to him?
He died.
The pest mouse rat mice died and i love watching them electrocuted with that trap put me in a good mood XD
I have a few electrical mouse traps, If you take them apart and lacquer the circuit boards you double the lifetime of the device outdoors.
I also wrapped them in old bread bags.
Pro Tip: If you have pet mice or rats, placing some of the used bedding in or around your trap makes the trap more attractive to wild rodents
I liked the Rat with the stick. (Lol) I enjoyed the video like always. Can't wait for the next one.
That dude with the stick had the right idea lmao
I have been trying to contact you via your website contact page but keep getting a recaptcha error. I have a mousetrap I would like to share with you for review. I think your viewers will like it!
That hawk isn't dumb. Why catch your lunch when Shawn lays it out nice and pretty for you.
Shawn always tells it like it is, live in 3D! Great as always!
If shawn says this works then it works.
That hawk is getting real used to those mice magically appearing in your backyard
I loved seeing the rat drag the stick
Seems like overkill. Excellent video. Loved the rat with the stick.
Literally
Thanks Shawn. Hope you and your family are doing well. God bless!
I like how almighty and benevolent Google is to not allow a rodent be exterminated, but watching animals tear into the flesh of other animals is a-okay.
A Friday "two for " ..thank you Shawn
Hawk was like wow this is incredible cooked exactly the way I like it blood rare❕It's very unusual to get a mouse that is cooked,
especially the way I enjoy it ‼️®™️ 🤣🤣
"Mmmm-mmmm, BBQ Friday!" -- The Skunk
Red tail hawk ..beautiful
Now, was it THAT rat from before or are they learning from each other?
Love seeing the red tailed Hawk!
Well, so much for the saying about how "The second mouse gets the cheese."
As Exterminator, this trap cost 120 $ very expensive compared of using bait stations or traditional snap traps ..
They are profiting on people’s fear.
@Yazeed Hawamdeh I have owls and hawks living on my property, so don't want them to eat poisoned rats.
Rats will not get near snap traps; I have video of them checking out the traps, then going around.
This might be what I need
You'd think that something that expensive and intended to be used outside would be capable of catching more mice. It would never keep up with some the barns Shawn has featured.
The rat put up a good fight 2:54
If the trap resets it self, the price is already justified. I wonder, if you attach it at a slop, would the rat or mouse slide out. That would be similar to the New Zealand trap, that is way more expensive.
It would be nice to test that idea. Thanks
At 4:06 something else was in the woods.
Bray Wyatt waiting to return.
Now if this trap could dump the cadaver into a pail for disposal you would have a winner.
2:55 Rat: oh CHEESE NO! I'll take that stick
Great editing with that skunk
I like that the Hawk was looking around to make sure itself was not being trapped lol
This would be useful for me because I live in Florida and have pets.
Also maybe they should make it rechargeable for that price point.
The batteries he used are the rechargeable type, however the price is high. This setup with those batteries is steep!
I need a huge one of these for rabbits.
😊
I was hoping you was going to give the rat to the Hawk,
Introducing the "Dunk And Zap" by Victor! It's quick and lethal... just impress your friends! LOL
"Pets can't get in there"... unless your pet is a rat.
That red tail was like "free food, whats the catch"
You could measure the weight & length of the rats you caught for a size leaderboard.
This is great for farm’s with chickens and people who have pigeons. The price is reasonable and just get some rechargeable batteries.
Nice hawk
That skunk eating GOOD
2:26 What does it mean when the light blinks 4 times? ~ 6:41 What was on the hawk's right foot?
Just some ground debris; a leaf.
@@DaveJHarry Oh. I thought something got tangled in the leg, because when he walked the debris was following.
Any other number of blinks usually means either there's a short on the killing plates or the batteries are too low.
@@tin2001 Interesting. Thank you,Tin2001
Nice. Good skunk
I'm curious as to what prevents the trap from getting two rats, rather than just one? It _looks_ like it could get two.
I believe two would be easily possible and probably how it was designed.. One in each entrance.
It DID. Watch it again. Both went in the same end. None went in the other entrance, by chance
@@general5104 those were nice, not rats. The question was about rats
Skunky got a nice deep-fried rat meal.
That rat went down quick
I bet this works for rats that love to try to put sticks into traps
the cool thing is that rat brings his own stick.
guessing the next step is bringing its own EMF detector.
A “Multi-Mouse Meal!” Love to hear that ZZZZZZ⚡️
Awesome!!! I never had luck getting a rat with a electronic trap. I believe the consents The electronic harmonics in the air or something
I love watching hawks eat when they open their wings to hide the food.
That hawk gets any fatter, on them free meals, he's gonna have to apply for an Emu card!!
We have a rat issue in our garage in the cooler seasons. What would you recommend for a garage that is not heated. I thought the cold would kill the batteries not sure. We don’t have an issue with water.
I was looking to see how to get the battery compartment out and you don’t show that and their instructions just say slide it out . Mine doesn’t slide out
I can't see a red-tailed hawk without thinking of Animorphs.
This is what they SHOULD have done to David, by the way.
6:40 My one friend who finds a dollar on the floor
Why on Earth did that Rat discarded such a fine Walking-Stick? I bet he spent a good Hour-or-two just picking it out! However, watching the Mice Sparkle as they fried their Brains was well worth it! 😁
7:10: Well, yes, that red-tailed hawk is one of your cast members --- but, as I was saying earlier, Mr. Skunkbutt seems to have turned his resignation form --- or gotten fired since he's obviously no longer on your show.
indoors: rodent free
outside: full on safari
I always get a laugh, love your channel Shawn!
Wasn't there an episode on tmnt where master splintered went missing.
What about doing a video just on the feeding to wild animals
I don't know why Google has sympathy for rats. Are the youtube moderators somehow cousins?
Great video as usual
We hadn’t seen the skunk for some time. I’m glad he’s ok.
Hawk: Am I Being Punk'd?
Going primitive on you but you hav`nt shown the tree huggers delight before it`s not that old but very scarce. I bought one years back just to put on the shelf . Mine does`nt have a model # but it`s made be Havahart . It`s a tiny 2 door live trap just like the ones for coon and fox but it`s advertised for catching mice. Bought it at the local hardware store but it was`nt cheap neither were the regular size traps.
Nooo! That was my favorite rat! 😥
Good work Crawdaddy.
Vary shaking ⚡
Submersing electronics in water when there is no current running and then letting it dry out isn't much of a test if you don't let corrosion set it. The real test is submersing it with current running and then seeing if it will work again.
Looks like the grandson of the Carpenter Rat had a brief career. Let's see what the future has in store for the Engineer Rat's family. We all know it's a trap, but fair play I say.
Hawks always look like they’re being pranked
Cool
FYI, Your skunks name is called,
(Wide Load)
Is it big enough to kill squirrels? Just curious being it will take out a rat.
😔 I feel bad the 1st little puppy was carrying a stick playing fetch possibly
If you take your electric mouse trap apart and paint all of the electrical exposed circuits and wire connections with conformal coating it will be waterproof. That's how I waterproof my quadcopters
Does it work with Chipmunks and Squirrels?
does anyone know why Lithium batteries are preferred for this model compared to normal batteries for others?
Ugh, I can't figure out how to remove the battery pack and you skipped right over it!
Yum!
