Joe can go round the houses with questions or opinions so Ste often makes his point before the he’s made it because he know where he’s going with it. Where someone like Jay would wait for him to stop.
It’s a dislike, it’s a clash in personalities. I reckon Ste wouldn’t swap Joe smith for many people. They’re all top and offer something.

Bayern's MO has always been to weaken their immediate opposition. Last season, they finished behind Leverkusen and Stuttgart, so they signed a CB from each of those clubs to weaken them. Which means they need to offload one already at the club. De Ligt gets most value for money, cause Eric Dier is shit, KMJ just joined last season and is decent and Upamecano would fetch less than De Ligt and probably also a lesser burden than De Ligt in terms of wages. It's a good deal for United, I think.
You guys are very light on Erik. Next year is make or break. No manager has been given this much support prior to this summer, let alone what will happens during the summer (structural changes, more signings, more outgoing)

The one good thing that the Glazers brought to the club was maximising the commercial side of things... grew our revenue exponentially... American style commerce... of course it was for their benefit and they saddled us with debt, but we're now in a position where getting rid of them and their debt will stop leave is with this commercial juggernaut and that will be invaluable in the future.
United not furloughing the staff during Covid, like the scousers tried to, was a good thing under the Glazers. Although I'm not sure how involved they were in the decision.

Well even aside from idea of needing to sack people to put the investmet in the right place- having a tighter slimmer operation /team/unit of less people all of a higher better connected standard is another thing that may improves us and in terms of the effects on Manchester- if our decline continued at same rate oer the next 20 years - what would THAT do to the people & city of Manchester vs if over the next 10-20 years we had a similar upward trajectory to Liverpool & City in the last 10 (obv we are not coming from the same obscurity as City BUT if we hit similar heights & success & that cimbined with the status/platform/resources potential we already have imagine what THAT would do for city & people of Manchester & especially fir the yougest generation as they grow up

I will still believe it when I see it. I have absolutely no faith in Ineos. SJR has made a fortune buying companies and cutting costs until they become profitable without improving the actual product. Looking at what he is doing by laying off staff ... he is taking the same approach here.
Not only that but Ineos have an awful track record with sports teams. Lausanne got relegated repeatedly and they also tried to change their logo to include Ineos' and had to backtrack. Nice were a regular top 4 team before Ineos and since they took over they have finished outside the top 4 every season. Team Sky was the best cycling team in the world and were utterly dominant and they quickly fell apart once Ineos took over and now they don't win anything.
There isn't a single example of Ineos taking over a sports team and making them better. Not one. I obviously hope that we are the exception and rhey finally get it right but their track record speaks for itself.
