Don't wait on others... i think this is a big one... because its the one thing that makes the difference between our success and our standing still.. its nice to wait for others for them to be around us but its not necessarily the best thing as when we get real about our magic is when we have to go solo at least initially. we have to set it up, put a stake in the sand and then the rest follows. If you do this, working hard will be a given, creating emotionally will happen because you gave yourself permission to be yourself. do love these top 10 rules... honestly.. they are a mini coaching session. learning from those who have gone before us. thanks a million Evan...

having as many skills as you can is important. dont wait on anyone is a good rule too. also when u got different musical skills you are more valuable to other musicians and youll get invited back for stuff more often. also if you offer a service its easy to trade for another service or opportunity. also having more gear that other artist can use makes you an asset to the community as well. this is a business of people. being a Good homie+practicing everyday is important. the practice part is important. if ur just a good homie then theres a limit to how good of a homie you can be. a homie that has weed and good vibes is one thing. a homie that has weed good vibes, can make beats, and do live sound, design flyers....which one do you think other artists and promoters are more likely to invite to their homes and collab with. if you build it they will come (home studio) if you build yourself up they will pretty much be your friend for life. even if you need a mentor and or education, people are more willing to teach you if you have some kinda of foundational knowledge the begin with. music lessons, youtube and private practice are essential as well as feedback. no one is gonna give you walk thrhough unless you paid them for a lesson or they happen to love you like a brother or sister. if someone is giving you feedback and working with you thank the stars. that is priceless.
