Teamwork Triumphs a Black Mamba Bite

Cebo’s father narrates the collaborative effort to care for his son, who suffered a black mamba bite to the neck. From a tree in a rural homestead in southeastern Eswatini to an ICU bed on a ventilator at The Luke Commission Miracle Campus, timely teamwork saved Cebo's life. After receiving antivenom and spending five days on a ventilator, Cebo recovered. He is proof that a black mamba bite does not have to be a death sentence.
