  • Wow!!!! I really like this beach, access is easy and there is tons of parking. If it had been summer time on this visit a chair and a lunch on the beach would have been awesome. I did not see any signs about payment required to park in the lot but the website says that an Olympic National Park payment receipt is required or the appropriate yearly pass for the national park system.

You are welcome, glad you enjoyed it :) It was such an amazing place, could have spent all day there if it was 70 degrees!

Beautifully rugged. Last time we were on the coast we stayed at Mora campground and hiked the length of Rialto beach, highly recommend. Second beach was a stunner as well, especially the sea stacks. Love your videos and I am amazed with all the driving you do 🙂

Cool, I will check out 2nd beach next time! I always try to get out at least once a week, we are aiming for 52 hikes this year :)

Try Third Beach, Scott Bluff, Toleak Point. Try Shi Shi Beach and Point of Arches. Try Rialto Beach and Hole In the Wall.

It would be interesting to know how the beach got its name :)

Just looked it up, it is from the reddish colored patches of sand found in places there. Not sure if I saw any on my walk.
