Thought I would make some comments as well :)
The real foxbody did have i4 models, including some sportier ones such as the SVO, and even a mclaren tuned one. Although for now i've just base factory ones. but as you mentioned, a rather weird era for muscle car-ing, during and right after the gas crisis. Along with mentioned at 2:13, no foxbodies ever came with ABS or any other sort of assists. (aside from power steering, i suppose)
2:20 the hatch doesnt open properly because i had to change up the jbeam a lot in comparison to the notch which was able to just use a reshaped jbeam from a default car, i still have to tune a lot of the latches as they're a lot more picky than you'd expect. also why the doors don't open either. I find it quite an annoying system to work with :p probably just me though, i used to do a lot more modding on my own back before that was a thing so it's new to me.
4:10 yeah, sounds are kinda all over the place, they're surprisingly difficult to tune especially across all engines. it's another common complaint and probably my main focus for the next update. stock exhausts will always be rather quite though, but i do need to get to adding a sport one as a middle ground. Between the factory and tuned variants it's either very quiet or rather loud.
4:48 i've sat in the back of a real one. needless to say i was sitting sideways and hit my head a few times haha. 4 'seats' meant it was slightly easier on insurance. Need to fix that squeezed texture though.

I never took the Barstow for a mustang clone, I always thought of it is more of a Buick or Oldsmobile 442.

SPICA is just a familiar look. Judging it's based out of a foxbody Mustang but i just love the looks of it and it's very sexy of it is.

The Soliad Wendover opens like that, which surprised me yesterday. I'd never bothered to open it up before.
It surprises me too! To be fair, that good animation was only added in a recent update. Well after the Wendover released into the game
To kind of make this clear, the Barstow is based primarily more on the '69 Ford Torino, so sometimes trying to think of a good name and maker can be harder than it looks.
It's based on many different vehicles
3rd gen camaro and foxbody mustang were 80s icons its awesome to see em in beam especially because i own an 86 camaro iroc z28

I'd suggest you check it out the Maluch Remastered (Fiat 126/126p) mod for beamng it's on the forums and it is quite a quality mod it has got many configurations I think it might make nice video but it is okay if you decide not to.

15:02 this car is inspired by the Ford Mustang M81 which Mclaren partnered up with Ford to make a racing variant of the Fox Body Mustang.
Not the same McLaren. It's a different company started by someone that worked for the Mclaren car company. They also did a colab on a mid 90s Pontiac Grand Prix Turbo

0:56 That is the hood animation of the wendover
It wasn't just the Foxbody Mustang with the weak engines, it was the Ford Mustang II (previous generation). It only had two "notable" engines, a 4 cylinder with 88 PS and a V8 with 140 PS. Both of them are horrible, especially the 7.0 V8. Being based on the Ford Pinto was also a controversial move.
The Foxbody (Gen 3) Mustang wasn't liked either, that is true, mostly because of the styling. I have to admit though that the Cobra R model is hot though.
The Barstow reminds me of a 60s Torino and maybe a chevelle?
But the Barstow name would probably fit it better.

It’s basically a wendover reimagined, the wendover has the same hood animation, interior and sound..
The Barstow is based on the Torino, not the Mustang.

I wish more BeamNG CZcamsrs could actually drift properly😅. Well, it actually takes years to learn how to drift, but then it's just as enjoyable as it looks☺️! Anyway, I'd like to give you some tips: never drift on the 1st gear, it won't work; 2nd gear is fine for slower drifts and tighter corners; 3rd and higher gears are being used at higher speeds; as the last tip I'd recommend you to control the gas pedal more, you don't want to over or understeer with your car, so it's required to dose it properly. With some practice you'll get better at drifting in no time, hope this helps❤
Haha, I've struggled for a very long time to get better at drifting. I suppose as I practice more I will get better but right now I only do drifting for a couple of minutes here and there.
@@SimulatorAdventures it's difficult to drift with a steering wheel, I don't know whether you're using force feedback, it should be easier with it. Maybe you can do a live stream of you practicing, I'm sure some experienced people would help you even more😄
@@allgrip_creations I am using force feedback yeah, and my settings are completely messed up. Since I made this video I've been adjusting them a bit and they feel much better. I'd definitely like to do a stream at some point where I just practice drifting!
