I actually always expected the music of Azathoth to be creepy and kinda quiet. I figured it'd follow very little recognizable human patterns though. This almost seems to have a rhythm.

this is eerily calming for something that is literally the embodiment of chaos,madness and destruction. i honestly expected this piece to be very tribal sounding in nature. fast paced soul rendering drums, and vile flute solos. thats just what i thought.

Thank you!!!!! Finally something for Azathoth that is not a bunch of screaming black metal. Don't get me wrong, I like metal but Azathoth is not all dark and evil. So he deserves beautiful music. Chaos is beyond the concept of good and evil. Wild and untamed, it simply becomes what it wishes or needs to be.

So people may consider it's unbound effects Evil.
But no more evil than you driving down the highway, mindlessly killing hundreds of insects and crushing billions of bacteria with your machine.

I always imagined Azathoth's lullaby to be with shrill Japanese flutes and very deep sounding reasonating drums.
Yeah, like that one Inuyasha episode with the Soul Piper (I think that's what it was called). Though I have to say that, when opened in multiple tabs at different speeds, and starting at random times, it sounds a lot more accurate.

When I first read that, I thought that it meant the instruments themselves were somehow cursed, BUT then I realized that it was talking about the sounds they made (and, after having that open in multiple tabs at different speeds, "vile" and "accursed" are pretty accurate to the description of the cacophony that issues forth from my speakers).

How ANYONE can sleep through this is beyond me. Azathoth must also be the Deaf Idiot God, and only feels the vibrations of the sounds created by this hideous orchestra. The cacophonous medley acts as a cosmic Shiatsu massage for him, and he gets cranky when it stops.

I like the fact that you tried to do this, but I think this music should sound more ethereal, abyssmal, dark and ambiental. Think of Cryo Chamber's beautifully ambiental and dark Lovecraft playlists. We are basically talking about the ambience near the sleeping eater of all, Azathoth, a giant black hole, the Universe depends on his every move. The music that keeps him asleep should be able to show that.
I feel like it's okay because it shows another side to that essence, which is eeriely calming

For me this is perfect from the perspective of a person living in the earliest of the early 20th century.
A hypothetical silent film about Lovecraft's works would totally use this as the "dark and ambiant" track.

For something that’s supposed to be on a grand scale this is sadly too simplistic. A few drums and one flute? Clearly there would be more going on than this, especially from aliens with many mouths and tentacles. Why would they play human instruments? Clearly they’d play alien instruments created for the sole purpose of keeping the idiot asleep. Laughable at best.
