Another tip to smooth cuts is have the blade just taller than the wood rather than having it sticking right out of the table as you did in your first cut 👍 Edit: great straightforward review btw

@@TheCustomCarpenter Hello Minhass, I got the machine and to be honest struggled with the build as the instructions weren't great. On using it I have found it very good value for money as a hobbiest. The small flaws you spoke of are just that, small flaws, I have used some pretty strong magnetic trays to counter the small movement of the guide rail with some success. If you have any more advice or tips I would be grateful. 👌

@@Shandinho totally agree, I’ve got some Parkside bits and bobs in the tool bag, I bought an impact driver from there last year for next to nothing. It works perfectly and competes with some of the high end ones.
Very good presentation. I would also suggest that you add and demonstrate pre adjustment and/or pre-calibration prior to use: 1) How to check and set the table top to be flat. 2) How to check and set the blade is parallel to the Mitre slot. 3) How to check the fence is parallel to the blade. 4) How to check the blade actually at 90 degrees to the top once it is in 90 degree position. Recommend all those to be pre-checked / calibrate to make any cuts accurate. That is very important, but better design may be required as current looks a floppy. Otherwise great presentation. Thank you.
Hi, thank you for watching. I’ve not got round to it yet. I’m using a hardwood board for a straight edge using clamps. I will be replacing the throat plate and making a new wooden fence. Please check the comments as another viewer has made an amazing replacement fence with a clamp 👌🏽.
Good review. To minimize the risk of injury, the teeth of the blade should be about 1 centimeter higher than the thickness of the wood. 13:25 always push the material away from the blade and never leave the material there with the circular running and do not go over the axis of the blade, the material may be a little crooked and the blade may throw back if you did not push out. Sorry I'm not a native english speaker.

@@Jizzlewobbwtfcus If the material is pushed towards a processing knife, always the cutting knife must come out of the material as little as possible and the material must be pushed further than the cutting knife, otherwise there is a risk that the material will be thrown back if you left on the table.

I watched this video because Lidl will have these on sale from 7th of March and I need to convince myself to buy one 😁. Not sure if it will be the same model doesn't look to be, but close enough. Just bought one today and it looks like they changed a lot of the molding of some parts. Bloody instruction manual is different too and rather annoying but thx for the demo mate

@@shanefreeney1043 just got to be careful doing it this way. You can adjust the height of the knife to its lower than the blade. This will also allow the knife to remain and not get in the way of the cut. Need to also make sure the blade and knife are lined up perfectly. If the knife is slightly out it will get in the way of your cut.
@@TheCustomCarpenter I cut my riving knife down in height just below the blade as it wasn't adjustable, I have the metal cabinet model. This allowed me to cut half-laps etc. whilst leaving the riving knife in place. I also riveted a 3mm plate over the front where the adjustment knobs are, cutting out slots & holes for them. I did this because my blade seemed to bounce up & down because of the thin material supporting the mechanism. My tablesaw also threw a bearing on the motor after a good amount of use so I replaced the armature bearings with quality items... I have a fully equipped machine shop so the mods were easy enough for me... in fact, I had to make a small puller to remove the armature bearings so as not to damage the delicate commutator... so I appreciate that others not so blessed with equipment might not be able to easily do what I did. All in all, I still think this little saw was worth the money... I have a cheap Scheppach tracksaw for breaking down sheets and this too is a Godsend.. 😎👍☘🍺
Hi Kyriacos, no I’m Pakistani. No, can’t use Dado blades. I believe they are not eligible to be used in the UK, apparently they’re not safe for us to use.

@@TheCustomCarpenter I was quite happy how the machine performed given how much I paid for it. But it simply burnt the motor twice handy had the 2 year warranty was replaced without issues .. FYI I only used it few times as well.
@@satishsarju6177 how many cuts did you do within a few minutes until it burnt out? Were you doing big sheets, hardwood? Would be interesting to know so that others can avoid burning out the motor.

I was cutting some 18mm marine ply and it go pinched few times and then I was onto 6x2 timber and then same happened blade hot pinched and eventually smoke . Ps my neighbour works for lidl he told me they're know for that fault ..I do have other products made by Parkside and they've lasted well so far
Do a review on a mac allister track saw from b&q mate.. Really cheap but amazing quality.. I bought one just to have it lol.. I use it regular.. In fact I randomly just look for things to cut because its a brilliant toy lol.. Subscribed and liked anyways 👍

You are supposed to push the wood forward several times faster than you did. This is why the quality of your cuts were poor. Also the higher tooth count blade will get you smoother cuts too, the 24 tooth is for rough cuts. It would be great if you could re-test this on camera with the higher tooth count blade and push the wood 3x faster then we can see what cut quality it can really achieve.

You can get a angle finder on your phone for setting blade zero it to the table the tilt blade works spot on, thanks for the video

But what if you want to bevel? Guessing use a router?

Does it actually make clean cuts with the other blade? I am looking for my first table saw and this is the only one in its price range that seems good

Can you do a Rabbet cut on 2x1 timber. Mine won't let the wood pass through with the Guide knife or fin behind the blade

Made a plywood cover for the fence at the weekend and am waiting on a clamp to stop far end waving about, should work, keep up the good work👍

The scheppach table saw is £150 and is well worth the extra cash if you are serious. Reviews are on here. Different level for extra £50.

@@criticalthinker3006 it’s not used every day but when I do I put it through it’s paces often spending upto 30mins cutting without any issues.

Disappointed thought you was going to show assembly.
You are supposed to push the wood forward several times faster than you did. This is why the quality of your cuts were poor. Also the higher tooth count blade will get you smoother cuts too, the 24 tooth is for rough cuts. It would be great if you could re-test this on camera with the higher tooth count blade and push the wood 3x faster then we can see what cut quality it can really achieve.
Hi thanks for watching. Totally agree, it does need to go slightly faster. I’d never used one before and they were my first ever cuts on a table say, I’m getting better with practice 👊🏽
Tell us about the need to fit the guard, then makes a 45 degree cut, without the guard fitted. 🙄
