Thank you for covering this. A merger sounded too radical a move to me when I first read about it, but I wouldn’t have put it past the parties in their desperation. I truly believe that Trudeau could become dangerous the more desperate he becomes.

@@shovandutta8650 I have the same concern, which I addressed in an earlier post of mine. It’s a bit of a long read but I believe it offers some important perspectives that should be considered, given the current political climate.
In it, I argue that a significant percentage of the population may be too overconfident of a Conservative win at the moment, along with some other factors that aren’t being considered by Canadians.
Canadians have seen and suffered with these two working together and will Not vote for it.
I truly pray that is true.

@stuckinlodi100. If this scenario were to play out, there would undoubtedly be some people who would react in the way they hope. I would suggest there would be a number of people pissed that the government is essentially directing their vote and they may either refuse to participate or maybe even cast a protest vote to the opposition.
I don’t think this plays out the way they would hope.

I got to meet Pierre at the Winnipeg rally! It was awesome! I met some really great people, and best of all I got to meet Senator Don Plett! His speech on Trudeau’s Legacy was outstanding! I also met with my own MP. In my riding James Bezan whom has answered all my emails! Also my 17 yr old grandson who will be of age to vote at the next federal election met with Pierre and he had some very encouraging words for him. What a great man to be the next prime minister!! There were so many people for him to talk with and answer questions, he was clearly exhausted by the end of the night but saw everyone there waiting for him!❤😊

But on a positive note happy to hear your explaining what is true and not true. I know for myself , my PTSD goes through the roof and yes it’s very concerning because I shut down and need a break. They tried this during the Harper years but it was mostly political activists who were badgering candidates to step down in favour of running just one candidate on the Left in each riding. Unfortunately a lot of Liberals are not "left" and would be horrified.

If this merger were to be true, the NDP stronghold on the west coast that they've had for many years, I believe would be lost.
I didn’t worry about a merge as Singh wouldn’t give up his leader position. He makes horrible decisions politically as a leader but is smart enough to know that Trudeau would not allow Singh to be the party leader.
Since pension kicks in in January though. He will not care what happens after that.

Will the voter turnout increase for the next election compared to previous years? I wonder how many people have had it this time around, and will be getting out to vote after not voting in other elections?
I find it very interesting that NP is concerned enough to relate to other content creators the importance of integrity in reporting and discussing the impact that information can have on the population.
The reason I say I find it interesting is that the mainstream media seems to have no problem with misrepresenting information and adding their own spin to suit the needs of their handlers.

Despite being someone who follows politics and have closely watched every election I've lived through. I haven't voted once...ever... as I've always looked at the ideocracies of each party and couldn't get behind any of them enough to put faith in one. I use my political knowledge to simply gauge where the country and its people are at to prepare for the future.
But this next election, I've finally been pushed to the ballot box. Not in blind obedience or love towards any party, but pure rage and hatred against others. Luckily the numbers show in favor of ending the reign of Trudeau. In the case it doesn't, I've started preparations that would bring leaving the country as a viable option.
How could this be a thing??
