    I love this technique! Having the smudge-free top coat protecting the stamped design is so helpful. I want to try this with stained glass plates.
    Btw, in case you’re interested, it’s a bush in the original painting, not a mountain, but that’s the fun part about art; you can make it into whatever you want. 😊
    Mahalo for another relaxing and helpful live!

    Great video! Beautiful effect! I did the van Gogh with the sheer polishes from the rainbow splash. It worked out, but I think this way is easier for people like me that are not so talented in painting. lol
    Here from Germany btw, this is why I coudn't get the live, its 1:30 am in Germany when you start your lives and sadly it doesn't always work out to be here at the time.

    • @gypsydonovan
      @gypsydonovan Před 3 měsíci

      I'm not ambidextrous, but I've found it does get easier with practice.
      I've commented before that I wish they'd do occasional videos on natural nails since many of us can't adjust the angle & work like one does on fake nails. It can feel like it's impossible to do their designs but usually it IS doable with a little adjustment in techniques. I wish they'd show those.
      I'm not a professional (@naturalnailsseattle) I'm learning by trial and error. I love Maniology products and find them between useful and essential but the tutorials don't help me.
      Once in a while they inspire an idea but since I'm working on my own nails I often can't follow what they're doing.
      Please be gentle with yourself. Everyone is at a different stage in learning and experience.
      With anything, I guarantee ; If you practice, you will improve. But don't compare your work to people with more experience. It's true that some people are naturally talented and that can't be created, but skill can be learned by anyone.

    Can you use the smudge free on top of gel and then top coat with gel?

    Whenever I use the smudge free top coat it ends up peeling off within a couple days. Are there any tips to keep this from happening? Because of this I avoid using the smudge free topcoat🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @Maniology
      @Maniology  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Good question! Depending how hard you are on your hands, I am very hard on my hands (ex: cooking, cleaning without gloves, testing nail products etc.) I experience lifting as well. It's not just the Smudge Free Top Coat, but in general with most products. First thing, even if you're just using regular polish, make sure to dehydrate the nails before polish. This helps to get whatever natural oils off of the nail plate allowing the polish to adhere better making the whole polish experience better. As for the top coat lifting specifically, after using the smudge free top coat, I'd recommend another coat in a 2-3 days for longevity.

    Is it harder to do on real nails?

    • @Maniology
      @Maniology  Před 7 dny +1

      It's actually quite similar whether you're working on real nails or press-ons. The technique stays the same, so once you get the hang of it, both are just as easy to work with! 😊

    Can you use gel polish ?

    • @Maniology
      @Maniology  Před 3 měsíci

      Hi Kath, thank you for your interest! You can stamp on top of your completed gel manicure. However, you can't use gel polish as the stamping polish. Gel polish does not transfer to the stamper correctly. You can use regular stamping polish to stamp. After you are done stamping, just topcoat with your usual gel top coat and cure a final time.
