    Xrel look sick, def want to check them out. the 400 price tag honestly seems about the right price for what they can do.

      @LoganRVR  Před 16 dny

      I think it seems high to me because I’m comparing to the price and capabilities of the quest line of headsets.

    I own a pair of the Xreal pros 2’s they are a fantastic pair of AR glasses can pair to an external displays via a local network, through the external battery and computing device that attaches to it is a bit slow and it overheats the small fan side is also a little noisy.

    Can anyone please tell me which are the best for just watching Netflix, you tube etc? Thanks in advance.

      Are you hoping to connect the glasses to your phone, a computer, or a tablet? If you’re trying to run these natively on glasses your best bet is a quest 3, no glasses are running apps like that natively.

    Are the meta-Ray-Ban’s considered AR I don’t think they display or augments reality in anyway.

    • @LoganRVR
      @LoganRVR  Před 16 dny +1

      They are only considered smart glasses, but they felt relevant enough to mention in this video. Did you see the google teaser for their glasses yesterday? They had a built in HUD display. But were built like the meta raybans

    I don't play video games. So I'm more interested in productivity. I'm wondering if these glasses can be hooked to tablets also. Good video 👍

      Yes it can your talking about the xreal then yes or laptop as long has they got USB-C 3.1/2 image output ability I'm using huawei mate pro 10.9 thinking to add the beam so I get 3 screen up for work purposes but my main use is for movies even without the beam the screen pairs to be as big 100 plus inches yet to do a walk around in public
      U wont regret the cost

    Check out the Visor by Immersed

      I’ve heard very mixed opinions about immersed and what they’re making, what do you think?

    • @colinbeauche
      @colinbeauche Před 13 dny

      @@LoganRVR Well I'm actually a user of the platform and I think it's very stable and useful. Having a dedicated optimised lightweight 6Dof headset/ glasses to match their product is a clear win in my opinion.

    • @LoganRVR
      @LoganRVR  Před 13 dny +1

      Yeah, having devices that are optimized for specific use cases such as work through a second PC like immersed is meant for seems awesome. If I had the extra cash I would definitely check it out.

    2nd screen glasses probably has Nintendo taking notes.

      @LoganRVR  Před 13 dny

      Yeah, 10 years from now they will randomly release a top of the line vr headset or something.

    I've come to the conclusion that there are 4 types of consumer level glasses:
    1. Smart Glasses (speaker/mic/camera) Entry-level with no screen in lens, connects to smartphone by Bluetooth
    2. Wearable Display Glasses (screen in lens) Bird-bath type optics & Waveguide optics. Wired connection to phone in order to run with no processor inside glasses
    3. HUD Glasses (screen/camera/mic/radios) Standalone wireless glasses
    4. AR Glasses (screens/cameras/mic/speaker/processor/sensors) Wired & Standalone Wireless
    Top picks:
    1 - TCL RayNeo X2 are the best standalone wireless AR/XR glasses 🤓
    2 - INMO Air 2 (standalone wireless)
    3 - Xreal Air 2 Ultra (wired - no internals)

    • @LoganRVR
      @LoganRVR  Před 17 dny

      What would you say is the best version of smart glasses? Is it clearly meta or are there other OEM's you prefer.

  • @peterjansen4870

    really sounds like he havn't tried the glasses because he doesn't see the cool benefits and complains about the weight while this isn't really a problem

    • @LoganRVR
      @LoganRVR  Před 16 dny

      You’re right I haven’t, I was just trying to summarize all the notes I’ve seen online. Most reviews I read and watched said they were too heavy to wear all day every day which is the standard I’m trying to compare to. I see the benefits of having a second display at specific times like a flight or travel but don’t see many other use cases.

    as for feedback, maybe use more b-rolls when you need to look at your script for long,. Also consider speaking slower, feels like you are running. no hurry!

    Man you’re so misinformed. Google go in then got out them back in 2020 then back out.

    • @LoganRVR

      If they were working on enterprise edition 2 and announced it in 2019, then they never got out of the space? There was just a large gap of time between the first enterprise edition and the second. They stopped supporting it at the end of last year officially.

    No Vision Pro? It is closer to real AR than some of these product, like the XReal and RayNeo, which is just a portable monitor. While I can't justify getting a Vision Pro, I'm perfectly content with XReal Air Pro 2 for on the go use.

    • @LoganRVR
      @LoganRVR  Před 29 dny

      I wanted to focus on products that overlay onto your real world vision rather than creating a completely virtual environment. That’s the core difference between AR and VR.

    • @freddywayne
      @freddywayne Před 18 dny

      TCL RayNeo X2 are probably the best consumer AR/XR glasses right now $749 USD. They're completely standalone wireless with a Snapdragon XR processor (same chip inside Meta Quest 2), camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, Microphones & Speakers with 6DoF.
      *Those Meta Ray-Bans glasses are a waste of time & money imo.

    BRo u forgot rayneo x2

    • @LoganRVR
      @LoganRVR  Před 20 dny

      IMO the rayneo x2 tries to do everything great and ends up doing nothing well. It’s a good idea of what will be possible in the future in a smaller form factor.

    • @nox2164
      @nox2164 Před 20 dny

      @@LoganRVR yes, but if it was on the first screen in miniature, it would be worth including it in the list. vision pro can probably do more, but they look stupid, so in my opinion, the next generations will be better than apple. And now it's not bad at all

    • @freddywayne
      @freddywayne Před 18 dny

      Having no screens in the Meta Ray-Bans is a complete deal-breaker. They're pointless at their asking price. 🤷🏾‍♂️
