    Nowadays to see an MK3 in that good condition is super difficult!
    Lovely!

    I dont really know much about GTIs. Ive heard this wasn't the best model. I have always loved the way these look though! The wheels are fab and it's really well proportioned. Doesn't seem fast though. Much rather have a D Turbo Peugeot model

      People are starting to see the MK3 is not as bad as they thought.
      8v engine plenty of torque, capable to go on highway at 160kmh with no problem, super reliable engine and also better dynamics than expected.
      It was (and still is) a good car and even a joy to drive 30 years after they were released.

      Also, if you want to go fast, you can take the 2.0 16v version or the VR6!

      @testdrivehero yes it's got that VW quality. I have a 2002 Fabia wagon. Same as in your video but the 1.4 16v. It is an ugly car. It looks like a wobbly jelly on wheels. Everybody in the family has used it. Recently was sat for a year. A few hundred quid later it was back on the road as good as ever. I drove it about 5 miles to put some petrol in to sell it and I cancelled the sale! 🤣 it drives beautifully. So smooth, and the controls have a real quality feel. 24 years old and still perfectly good. Was a cheap car new. How can you buy better?

    Arguably the worst GTI ever and still very popular and quite expensive for a 30 year old car. I think I’d choose the Peugeot 306 instead.

    • @testdrivehero
      @testdrivehero  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I just choose over the Golf the 306 on GTI-6 version😎
