- This is the first installment of a series of guitar tutorials centered on "Jockey Full of Bourbon" by Tom Waits. This video focuses on rhythm techniques including right hand motion and pick rakes.
NOTE: This arrangement has been moved into Fmin (from the original key of Emin) to take advantage of better muting options.

Great stuff. Just found you and will try this and be back. 👍 Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
This is a great lesson!! Please do more of Tom Waits' stuff
Thanks, I will!
Spot on this mate, love it
This is fantastic. Thanks for the hard work
Amazing.
Well done for not putting on a faux gruff voice like most other Waits' covers! Nice interpretation and I never expected when I put the search in that I would find someone doing it on an acoustic, bravo for that!
Thank you. A TW voice really isn’t an option for me anyway...
Excellent breakdown of dynamics and feel, which is so overlooked when people play this. Thanks a mill for this, really appreciate you sharing your expertise.
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it
Pretty cool, man!

Thanks Steven, I appreciate the kind words.
Is it mandatory to be a guitarplayer and or a gunslinger when your name is Django?
It’s strongly recommended
Very nice sir
Thank you!
Great video, but I thought the song was in Em
It was, originally, but I play it in F min for this arrangement b/c open strings don’t work!
Thanks for this! Isn’t the 5 chord only in the chorus though?
Thanks! I hear the second chord of the verse as the 5 (bass starts with the 5 of the 5, then the root).
