As a PSG fan, its so difficult to support my club, when my peers (other supporters) are concerningly dense. I love Mbappe and everything he's done for us but we dont deserve him, I can't understand how especially parisiens could hate Mbappe and all hes done for them. The problem with Real Madrid and rodrygo is that at this point it’s evident that rodrygo’s preferred position is on the left. He has to sacrifice playing there cause Vini is better at LW. Real Madrid would be totally fine with keeping him as a super sub but there are more than enough teams that would gladly take rodrygo in to give him a place in starting 11. Rightfully so, he's a player who should be given the freedom to not track back and go for goals. With two other aging players by either side, there's just no balance. Now that there's Muani/Barcola and Dembele on either side, he can gladly play central while occasionally drifting wide. PSG has a much better and younger French core now, and that's what Mbappe needed. PSG was being plagued by a South American for so long, that's not what they need.
It makes it for a good story line. When he succeeds at Madrid they are going to beg for ownership of his days their. They will try to ignore how they treated him.

Mbappe is a natural left winger, although you can say he's the perfect forward in terms of skill and speed, physically and artistically. But Rodrygo is also naturally a left winger. He just can't slot in to that position because Madrid has the best winger in the game right now and he plays left side. I don't know if they'll continue this 2 forwards approach or go back to 3 forwards or go natural wingers where Vini doesn't cut in. I don't know.

The only reason to sell Rodrygo is if Mbappe is willing to play RW like he did early in his career and Madrid can sign Haaland to replace him.

The problem we would have at Madrid if Mbappé came is that we would love to play 4-4-3, but we obviously can't, so we would either have to cut Rodrygo from the starting XI or somebody from the midfield. But who do you cut from the midfield?
If you play with 3 midfielders, you either don't play Bellingham as a CAM, removing him from his best position, or you play him as a CAM with a double pivot behind him, who could either be Kroos and Tchouameni or Camavinga and Tchouameni. But thst means you would lose Valverde, a player who played literally every single game this season and who has the workrate of a mule on steroids

I think a good idea to try is, Vini and mbappe on the wings and put Rodrygo in the middle. It could work I think.
It would make things a lot easier if Vini can play right wing as an additional position. Then we have a front three that can play across left, right and centre. We might see them interchange a lot in these zones. Would be a nightmare for defenders trying to mark them.
Benzema used to play on the left and shift with vinicius, no problem for Mbappe there, these two could shift positions with rodrygo being on the right. Problem is in midfield, where Bellingham would be together with Kroos or Valverde. Tchoumani as anchor. And thats too little energy. They need to keep this, and Mbappe needs to be played in a diamond. Vinicius could be sold as he makes too many misstakes in the final third.
Luis is trying to be there long term, and he has to show who is boss. Luis knows Mbappe is gone and Luis is trying to put his stamp on the club. Dont be surprised if he gets bench towards the end of the season.

The only problem is that it takes away a spot for either Bellingham, Kroos, Tchouameni, Camavinga or Valverde in midfield. Ideally, Camavinga might be the one to be rotated. Kroos could come on from the bench, but right now he's too crucial to be limited to just that. There's also Guler who can play enganche.
But as long as Ancelotti is at the head, this is not a problem at all. After that, no one can know.
