Well hey, if you respect his musical knowledge, wouldn't you at least hope to enjoy the music he actually makes? Personally, I enjoyed it, though it was a slightly unusual way to create a tune.
Me Listening: "What year is this? ...uploaded jan 3rd, 2020? is that what the current year looks like? this can't be current year." Sideways in the description box: "Calm yourself, this is an old video."
Y'know, by the notification, I thought this'd be some musical analysis of leitmotifs and themes in general shared between Ocarina and Majora that connect the two games in ways that'd otherwise go overlooked, but I'm pretty okay with this instead.
Only true intellectual understand the unique perspective he implies with his timing and motifs in this piece. Stunning. Someone of my intellect can also grasp the musical genius of the conception of this masterpiece. I feel bad for those who don't see the subtle critique of society and common mentality found in this composition. Again, stunning.
So you not only have great insights into music, you can *make* amazing music in one of my favourite genres (sound effect arrangements). Definitely glad I subscribed.
Weird place to leave something like this I know, and please know that I 100% understand suggestions are... suggestions, and that I won’t bat an eye if completely denied, but I really felt compelled to ask if you know about Danganronpa after coming across something about it recently. I’m not sure how you feel about anime or anime styles, as this series goes pretty heavy into the stereotypical tropes, but if there’s one thing the series is known for excelling at, it’s the music. I’m not sure whether the music is worth evaluating or even playing the game over to you, but to me it kinda sets the series apart from literally anything else out there. At least anything out there that I know of. Made that longer than it needed to be. Long story short Danganronpa has good (to me) music that defines the series and comfortably sets it apart from those in a similar genre (visual novel). It’s also a damn good game, if you can play along with the writing most of the time. Highly recommend it either for a video or personal enjoyment. And again please don’t feel bad for telling me I’m a dumb asshole that has no idea what he’s talking about (but try not to block me bc I really like your videos). (Oh and I should also add that the voice acting is sometimes emotionless with a small chunk of the characters, so keep that in mind. Sorry for the long read if you bothered. I’m an annoying person).
so that's what you go to music school for
I'm tempted to change my degree if it could help me make something so awe inspiring
@@goldencalf13 it won't you gotta do it yourself
I've actually been pretty interested in what Sideways' actual compositions sounded like and apparently this was the answer
I value his opinion on music even more now
Got my hopes up thinking this was a music analysis of oot.
Well hey, if you respect his musical knowledge, wouldn't you at least hope to enjoy the music he actually makes?

Dmillz isn't it though?
No child, its something stranger and more wonderful!
Me too! Lol
Lol me too, but I still enjoyed it, it was so fun
Go home, Sideways:
You're drunk.
Does he stop being sideways when he's drunk or does he become more sideways
this made _me_ drunk
Sunny Pendejo Yes
Go home drunk, you're sideways.
@@AKSELBLACK this man has found the first Great Mystery of the Decade.

Uhh.. alright. I’m ok with this content...
IKR
I like it
I kinda feel like we need more of this
Yeah, I'm all about getting more of this.
LOL.
Sideways during college days must've been a partier.
The sheer amount of time and energy that had to go into this is impressive.
Don't forget the alcohol
The powers of procrastination of a college student
If you listen closely...it’s the dies irae again! Sideways is telling us he’s going to die!
*kidding kidding*
Aren't we all?

WE GOT SIDEWAYS ON THE TRACK
I'd love to see a sideways secondary channel that's just full of this kind of content!
Even if it's a shitpost, it's still really well made!
"oh nice a video game score analyses !"

nvm ....
(still nice shitpost tho)

Are all these samples/clips at the original pitch? Because it's really cool how it all fits together harmonically.
Yes
I think they are yeah
Neat thing, nearly every song in the game is in the same key due to alot of the themes needing to be played on the ocarina
My body after hitting my elbow on the corner of the table
Lmao 😂😂
Oof
As a Zelda fan I can say this is a certified hood classic.
The sting from entering the Hyrule Fields and the doodley-doo of rotating the menu are just ingenious in this.
Also, the whole thing is great.

A surprise to be sure... but a welcome one!
Me happy thinking it was about Zelda music, but somehow not sad, cause this is a master piece
I was so ready for a in-depth analysis of something. This was equally amazing.
Cool
Dude why does your comment say 1 year ago
1 year ago?
Ethan Johnson I cant tell if this comment is from 3 days ago or a year ago. Either way it makes no sense to me
Is this man a god?

Wild stuff. Good video.
I was hoping for an analysis, but wasn't disappointed.

The betrayal and joy I felt when I thought you did a video about Ocarina and Majora but then being disappointed then laughing my ass off
For a moment, I thought I was watching a Pogo video.
Great job!
