FYI - This is using the original non-VXL rated tires, so besides having little tread left they will have been ballooning like crazy on 3S full throttle, adding to the lack of control. I have a redcat sandstorm i am using castle 4600kv 18 tooth pinion 654 spur 2 cell. My motor is kind of warm. Just wondering if i need to gear down or up

I have a 7700kv that runs 2s max I can’t keep it going straight enough to get up to speed every little crack makes it spin out I have foams on the way put some better springs in it hope it helps
Hey dude! I have ordered the same combo (5700kv but with mamba X) for my Ford GT. Which speed in your opinion I could reach using the aforementioned combo using 3s and 35\55 gearing? Are there any methods how I can make this car even faster by playing with gearing? If so, could you suggest best what I can pull from the car? Tnx in advance!
What ESC are you using? Are you using the original sidewinder ESC?

Netcruzer RC TECH CARS I have a Xmaxx 8s and a couple slash 4x4 trucks. The more I watch your videos the more I want to get this car. What kind of tires could u put on it that would last? The ones that are rated for the brushless. I guess they might last a little longer.
Not sure, depends on what you plan on doing. Mine are mostly worn from drifting, not speedruns. For drifting harder is better. For speedruns foams or GTR speed rated tires would likely be best. Now if you have a few Slash 4x4s arleady those can also be adapted for speedruns. If you want to drift and have onroad fun, I do recommend this new 4TEC. It's great, seems very tough too!
Netcruzer RC TECH CARS yea I was thinking about getting 2 of them and me and my son do some road racing. I love the way GT and the mustang look. They are cheap but I always want faster so I'm kinda looking at the brushless one they have.
Try get a jaco foam and it should hold traction better plus quicker take off. Sometimes stock don't do well..

I no this has been awhile but if it were me I would take and put the 17mm hub adapter on it get a set of xo1 tires or a hard compound tire hot racing makes a inset of hub adapters that stay on nice with a allen screw key so no wobble action goes on I belive that and shave the fender alil bit if needed to get the speeds or possibly even higher for that small of a car super cool tho I have that same motor I havent put it on anything yet I'm thinking after seeing ur video I may just buy the ford gt Roller kit and set it up with Hobby wing max 6 and the 5700 it should definitely get down ...👍
Fast. Believe it or not I run my 5200 kv on 3s with stock 35 amp esc all day and it handles it. I don't know how but it does
Mine had a pull to the left. Had to adjust the trim. The stock tires are horrendous. GRP or even the Vattera tires combo set is the way to go.
You may want to look into a heavier diff grease.(sorry if late, just want to be helpful)

Temps seems fine, what you saw is all the runs I did that day. ESC fan helped a lot. Motor still has no extra cooling right now.

Killer run and durability test 😂 but I feel bad for the poor GT body those are damn expensive to replace like 110.00 Canadian and that's the unpainted version grab some fresh rubber it'll break 60 mph

Alexwilson225 yeah I put that same motor in a Traxxas slash 4x4 and it flys, like scary fast. But thanks to the castle it’s reliable

Get some Mothers Back to Black plastic restorer and just wipe the body down with it and you will be amazed how good it works on scratches.

Is the TSM turned on or does it not work at those speeds?
TSM was turned down to about 10% if I recall correctly. If you have it too high at high speed it will overcompensate and start a fishtail slide.
Sounds like the gear mesh is too tight.
I agree making that motor and esc work harder then they should gonna e it real hot sieze barrings in motor back pinyon off of spurr just a hair. Its also censored not plugged up

AREO . You need a cover on the bottom because the body acts like a parachute .
I had to change surface to concrete smooth, no speed bumps and turn down your TSM to about 25% then try. Also at that speed your cell phone causes a balance issues.
I did have TSM down to 10%, and this lot is very smooth. I've ordered foam tires and will only do speedruns pointed AWAY from the speedbumps from now on. :) As for the phone, yeah it will affect lateral balance but hopefully not enough to matter much.

Tank 62 amain.com for tires 1/10 scale. Contact brand. Lots of different width sizes and colours and foam density. Do some research. I'm not even sure what I ordered is correct.

Put some wd40 on your tires let sit on them about 30 minutes then wipe off the excess cheap tire traction compound.

No way. Traxxas lipos are pretty poor performers.
Netcruzer RC TECH CARS Traxxas lipos are good for certain times you should try fast race tires for your ford gt they have a lot of tread and last long 70 for pair so 140 for full set
