What a great colleague she was when I sang with her in SAMSON ET DELILAH in 1986. I liked her voice although the registers (high, middle, & low) were not always smoothly connected despite the fact that they were each substantial by themselves. Also she definitely looked wonderful in the role & was considerate to all the other singers as well. McCracken was the Samson & alsosang very well. It may have been one of or else the last time he performed this role. He was also a kind & helpful colleague.
