Since my nephew, sister & BIL moved from VA to FL and niece & family left VA to be missionaries to Romania, I don't get to see that beautiful country too much anymore so your videos help alot.
That was some good looking orchard grass Dennis! The spring hay crop we had down around South Boston, you better bale every bale you can because it was junk here.
We raise goats and they are very picky. This year our hay has been full of stalks and they won't eat it. We are getting a 50% to 60% refusal where they will just pull it out of the mangers and drop it on the floor and refuse to eat it. It makes for an awful lot of compost and really expensive feed.
Yes sir you are getting it done. Have you notice a difference in you round bales when you go with the cut or against the cut. like following the flow with the cutter. do they rap neater. Have a great one. I just finished hay cutting and baling rounds and squares and got 3.5 inches of rain in South Texas. wow, wow, wow. Keep safe friend.
I'm in Michigan I only get one cutting on my small fields 3 acres but I just use a 5 ft brush cutter to knock down the grass then my buddy has a wind rower then we make mini straw bales or full sized bales depending on what he needs that year
Nice video! Yep it can be a lot of work syncing/editing. I have found in light crop to reduce pto speed and increase ground speed. But that can be tricky depending on the field/tractor.
I go a LONG time before changing fuel filters on all my diesel equipment since I use good filtered fuel that is filtered again as it is pumped into any tractor or truck. I think the recommended intervals is to cover the masses of people that don't care for their fuel as I do.
Vermeer has a nice 20' wide CP mower (not a Mo/Co) that folds up to a nice 9' 8" width. But with no conditioning rolls or tines, it just won't work for us.
What type of orchard grass did you plant? I planted some persist out here in eastern Va. and we had 2 weeks with no rain and it never fully recovered in certain spots of the field.
Not sure what type it was. Just told the farm supply I needed orchard grass and they loaded it up and I planted it. Took a couple seasons to get it squared away and weed free (mostly).
Hey Dennis, Your videos and your work is always enjoyable. Thx
Thanks!
Watch every one of your videos Dennis and enjoy the commentary. Just like sitting on the buddy seat, and learn a lot👍👍💪💪
Awesome thanks for always riding along

I don’t know about that all my hay is Tedded and then raked so it does resemble anything like what it did straight out of the mower.

Hello Dennis cutting on the left would be different I've never done it. All equipment I've ever used is right side. Good video have a great day.
Yeah it takes some getting used too.
Good video and nice looking hay. I hope you get a good price for it. It takes a lot of money to make good hay.
Thanks yes you can put way more into it than you can get out of it if you aren’t careful.

Yes I do that also
Good to know and I'll try it next time.
Appreciate you!
Thanks!
Your Lucky got Bale up Hays ...

I agree, if your not having fuel filters plug ever you can probably run them longer than they say is my thought.

Dennis , have you ever looked at a self-propelled mower? Would that be something that would work in your operation ?
I’m sure it would be great but I can’t spend 250,000 on my small operation for a machine that can only do one thing.
@@DLHFarms all that youtube $$ 😁.
Time is Money!!!

I saw you last week at stop light in ridgeway at sheetz
Yep working at commonwealth crossing again
I’ve always been curious on why they make discbine mowers with that long of a neck
On the center pivot that’s this wide it has to be really long so it can reach both sides and reach over far enough
Just curious but why you are running a JD tractor but using a NH cutter.?
Because I like to run the best don’t care what brand it is as long as it’s the best.
Dennis, may I ask what editing software you use?
iMovie. It come on iMac computers as free software
JD usually have swivel seats?
Yes it has one
Do you keep a rainfall record?
No I don’t it’s something I would like to do but ..
So..........you're just a tad behind on videos eh? LOL
Yeah a little haha
