Hmm, here’s how I FINALLY got to diamond: I hit platinum I think it was in 22’ and didn’t hit 1900 til November of 23. Once I got to 1900s, I was already in the verge of hitting diamond. I would bounce from around 1780-1970s. During those months, I would start to focus on watching some replays, looking at when to punish and how to approach against other characters. Then I happen to get to one of your videos. I think in one of them, you mentioned to do like 500-600 wins each season. At first, I told myself that’s going to be brutal because I have a whole ass family (I’m 32 with a whole ass careers etc) but I told myself I HAVE to do it. I can’t stand the idea of not being able to hit diamond. Anyways, this season, I did it. I focus on ONLY on winning 10 games a day (sometimes more if I couldn’t do it the next) and didn’t care about my loses. Just winning 10 a day. I got to 479 wins with mako and got to 2006 elo. The lesson here is, you have to put in time and effort. The effort has to be actually focusing on your improvements and not just playing. Actually thinking and using training mode to implement new things. Then the time is what gives you experience. That’s what most of these pro players have so they know how you’ll react to situations because they’ve been through it. Don’t stop. Don’t be a quitter. This might just be a game, but the outcome of winning is a mentality you can apply to the everyday world. ❤

Diamond is a big achievement it puts you in the top 1% of players worldwide and that's one hell of an accomplishment in my opinion. 2000 elo has always been my goal since i started to take brawlhalla seriously. I am thinking of paying for coaching next week.

So basically WAIT, some will call this “passive” but you can condition your opponent to think you’re playing passive when you are simply just doing chip damage and waiting to catch them off guard. There is also something called weapon sway which essentially is for example a S-Air (side air) most people won’t throw out a side air with a weapon like sword and stay in the same position or area in which they throw the move out but will actually throw the move out and move in the direction of the opponent in this is what you want to AVOID because all it takes is for them to back step and catch your landing and all of a sudden you are in a true combo or string. I respect you because your guides are ACTUALLY guides, as in they show you clear steps to take and the logical reasons behind it. So many “guide” style content creators just spew the same nonsense that doesn’t help anybody, but you’re the goat. I try to achieve the same thing whenever I get around to making guides. Although one thing I slightly disagree on is with knowledge. You’re saying that you only learned about neutral at 1900, that seems really late to me, like I had an understanding of that while I was still gold lol, I’ve just always been slow at getting the gameplay to catch up to the understanding.
I mean that's just you. I have over 1000 hours ps4 hard stuck plat and recently came back on pc after a very long break. I didn't have much knowledge at all. I didn't know about neutral until these guides. I was just on autopilot aggressively charging in all the time.

After watching the videos before this one, I applied some things said in the video an I'm ngl I hopped on brawl and I not only reached my peak, which I hit like mid season, I gained an extra 70-90 elo more now I am sitting at mid plat and I am happy with the progress I made this season. I know now hwere my mistakes are and how how to improve and more importantly where to implement the improvement. Thank you zenex ur videos are amazing❤
I never knew brawl needed video like this, LOL. I am diamond and I just played mental games. If opponent spams moves, you waste his time by just jumping here and there, till he suicides.
i can vouch for the concepts of resetting to neutral , not getting tilted and everything mentioned in this video. I am a 1750-1800 player and i peaked 1909 last season after one session where i went from 1670 to 1909 in one go with fait. I'm mostly a scythe and gauntlets main (i main mordex and usually play all scythe legends except munin). The only problem with this for me was that i was taking advantage of orbs powerful neutral gameplay and not utilizing scythe properly. When you play purely to climb you do anything to win. For me specifically and for the playstyle of scythe i dont think that is always necessarily good. If you always reset back to neutral you are not utilizing these weapons properly in my opinion, and your gameplay suffers in result of that. I think a good mix of limit testing and trying to go for secure reads as well as everything said in this video is the way to go. I think there should be a balance between always playing for the advantage and resetting back to neutral and going for follow ups , reads and strings. Get used to losing elo while trying to learn and improve and actively try focusing on the fundamentals mentioned in the video. I think thats the best advice, just dont be scared to limit test your skills when the right opportunity arises in a match

i wish i could just not care when someone says exetra instead of et cetera but it really frustrates me. Has anyone got any advice on how to deal with this lol
@@monocleduck1115 what i meant by resetting is giving ur self some time before going for a second attack, because ur opponent can easily dodge and get himself out which puts u in a bad position, however if you wait for literally one extra second ur more likely to hit them.
