Was it a temptation to paint that armour Leadbelcher and then use that Terradon Turquoise over the metal? That would create quite the accent on the armour don't you think?
Question do you think the vallejo turquiose is almost the same look as the turquiose contrast yiu used? Id love to do this scheme but im not good with certain contrast colors going on smoothly?

@@MediocreHobbiesdo you by chance have a guide on how to paint Drukhari in contrast purple? I really like the way your method gives good-looking models quickly. I was trying to figure out which purple would be best and what a wash would look like over it. It would need to be kinda dark purple with brighter highlights so that it wouldn't look cartoony.
@@MediocreHobbies Thanks! I totally missed your Archon vid. I have an unpainted Dark Eldar army because I could never decide how to paint them but your scheme looks great and quick. Gotta buy some Terradon Turquoise tomorrow

The new formula has better flow, which I will say is better for recess washing, but it means it doesnt have an all over darkening effect (staining i think some people call it). It also leaves a satin finish, which looks rubbish on anything that isnt armour or metalic. I really don't get why they discontinued it. Ive moved on to AP dark and strong tone now, but still nothing like the old nuln oil and aggrax. Rant over.
I don’t collect them but there is something about dark elder armour that has always done it for me

There both stunning armies. I believe eldar is currently a stronger army. But personally I prefer dark eldar.

Yes! The second coat of grey seer is a lot lighter but makes the contrast paint cling better to the surface of the model!

No not at all. Mechanicus standard is fat to dark to use with contrast paints. You need a bright colour. Like white bone or bright grey.
Great video! How do you do the skin of a dark Eldar? It’s so hard for me. I think I do better with contrast or speed paint.
It’s about that green my shade. That over a pale basecoat and then highlighted with pallid witch flesh and you have a great looking dark elf face.
How would you paint one of the vehicles in this scheme? Trying to use contrast on flat vehicle panels has never worked well for me.
I stipple them like my cadian tank vidoes. I’ve done 4 venoms so far and am happy with them.

Test Looks rly good but how do you to the Transports and vihicles. Contrast paint doesnt work at all for me there

It wasn’t that hard with the wide stance. But if I can’t reach it I don’t paint it.

@MediocreHobbies yours came out so much more colorful, mine seems so dull. I used a black base coat so that's probaly why
@@lolbitbot4791 why would you use black! You can’t contrast over black. It has to have a bright undercoat. That’s how it works.
