Dr beaslys has a cut and polish primer that can be coated right on top of it, you should do some research on it, it cuts out the ipa wipe down
Lol giving me flash backs to being a detailer at a lexus dealership. Many vehicles spent pulling my hair out over that soft black paint

For correction, I charge 100$ per hour, and on a 2 step on a car that is about 6 hours for me. So 600-700 CAN$. For coatings, it depends if the client wants a 2 year or 5 year coating. Price for detailed wash, decon, degreasing, coating and final steps (tires, windows, door jambs, etc) varies between 599$ and 899$ on a car that size. I try to do my package calculating 80$ per hour for the work+product costs+commute time and expenses (I am mobile).
This owner has a very nice looking lexus. I know it would definitely turn my head if I saw it. Those gloss black rims match the black car very good. Imo I think the car would look better with the chrome deleted. Also painted red calipers would make it look better too.
I think Lexus mixes the clear coat and the paint when they do the clear coat layer of paint

Buy new microfibers If u scratch it when u wipe. Whats happening is ur either using old microfibers you’ve washed too much or those towels is just bad for thin paints
1 step should be 700 2 step 1000. $1500 job with ceramic coating . You should charge more for longer lasting coatings

Just wondering how come you guys don’t use buffer when doing paint correction I’ve worked in a detail shop before and seen most people using buffers what you guys use look more like wax machines to me can you clear up my confusion
They did use machine polishers (buffers), but not a rotary machine. They use DA Polishers to minimize holograms and the risk of burning through clear coat for his employees.

It doesn't have a clearcoat, that's why you were pulling colour, not overspray.
